We met with him 4 or 5 times throughout the process to conceptualize and to come up with a design about the layout, the hardscapes, the plantings, and the timing and execution of the plans. Kevin always encouraged us to give our ideas for the patio. It was always a joy meeting with Kevin. He always considered our ideas and offered his advice on what he thought would be best design for our patio. And he was cognizant of our cost constraints and laid out options for us to consider. Kevin also immediately notified us of additional work that needed to be done that wasn't known in the early planning phases and we were able to make decisions about these changes. Kevin has an excellent combination of skills, both interpersonal and professional. The crew that did the work was also fantastic. The three workers arrived promptly at 7 AM, and worked diligently for three weeks and each day cleaned up the site meticulously. His communication was excellent throughout, and he was genuinely receptive to our vision for the patio. When unexpected issues arose during construction--an exposed foundation and a renegade pipe requiring replacement--Miguel tackled each challenge quickly and effectively. He even gracefully adapted when we discovered the fire pit needed repositioning due to code requirements, finding a solution that worked perfectly. The project did take longer than initially estimated, stretching to about three months rather than a few weeks, but this was entirely due to spring weather and the need for consecutive dry days to pour and cure the concrete properly. Miguel's team worked as soon as the conditions aligned and delivered excellent finishing touches and cleanup. We went with Picture Perfect Landscaping because they appeared to be a nice family run operation…read more It was a disaster. They sent unskilled labor to our house who began tearing up our yard in a rather random manner. One of their labourers insisted on parking his dilapidated truck in our driveway that was leaking oil everywhere. I confronted him and he apologized, but parked in the exact same spot the next day and leaked more oil. He was too lazy to walk up the driveway. They run an amateur operation. Ariel runs the construction operation and Laura translates as he speaks little to no English making communication difficult. He rarely visited the site as they (admittedly) are overbooked and can't handle the work that they have taken on. The final straw was when I came home to a guy digging a crooked trench through our existing landscaping where we wanted a retaining wall (it wasn't even straight, he was killing plants we wanted to keep, and it was in a random location). There were no measurements, plumb lines, or any delineation markers. The guy was just swinging a pick axe. I called a planning meeting and Laura came over with a drawing she had oddly plastized with no dimensions on it that looked like a child drew it. Yes, it was in crayon! We asked for a refund and they refused. Our yard is destroyed and for that we had the privilege of being taken for our $9200.00 deposit. BEWARE!

Some even directly turned us down. Ariel and Laura produced a promising plan and a quote which we were happy with. We transformed a steep barren slope into flowerbeds with smart irrigation. They brought a brochure and samples so that we can select the materials that we like. During the job The crew came on time everyday. They carried their own mobile toilet so that they didn't need to borrow ours. Laura was very responsive on phone and text. They come regularly every a few days, but consulted us when there were decisions to make. We asked for additional paving during the job. They managed to incorporate that in the schedule. I could not communicate with the workers directly due to language. I didn't find that a problem. They leveled everything, which my previous landscaper never did! After the job They power washed everything and laid grass and seeds for the turf impacted by the job. Their job comes with a 10-year warranty. Laura said the warranty came with the materials and they find no reason not to pass to the customers. I really appreciate that but I haven't used it yet. We decide to work with them again for another project once I have the money.
