My visit started off fine, and the new girl on staff initially made an honest mistake with my insurance--no big deal. However, what really left me uncomfortable was watching the manager publicly reprimand two other staff members for the error instead of addressing it with the person who made it. They saved my vision I went to my regular eye appointment at 2:00 pm. Dr Corredor, OR with Terrezza's office compared my photos of my eyes that they had just taken & then compared them to last years. That's when he immediately said "this doesn't look right to me". Dr Corredor, OD immediately referred me to Retina Specialty Institute. Because of the severity of my right eye, they got me in in less than 30 minutes. He took care of me so well. So I then arrived to Retina Specialty Institute statute. I waited less than 10 minutes before they called me back. According to Dr Ahmet Ozkok, MD, It turned out that my right eyes's retina had torn/detached in a horse shoe type pattern. I believe he said it was 80% detached. He immediately did a type of laser procedure. He made sure to add numbing drops first. And when I cried, he would stop and calm me down. I cried because apparently I'm just a baby! He has a wonderful bedside manner. I may be older - but I was still so scared. He gave me very specific instructions and the staff stayed late because of my procedure. Everyone was so very nice & patient with me. Dr Oscar Corredor, OD (Terrezza's Optical) and Dr Ahmet Ozkok MD (Retina Specialty Institute) saved my vision. Because this happened late on a Friday afternoon. Had they not cared about me - I would have ended up in emergency surgery over the weekend. I love both these doctors and I know you will too. I trust them both with not just my vision but with my life. Unable to see out of the $1000 glasses I purchased, a young fellow told me to bring in my last prescription glasses I had and he would make lenses from them for my new frames. Brought them in and waited 1/2 hour for him to then tell me he needed the actual written prescription. No apology, nothing. I live 15 miles away and have an extended trip planned I will not have glasses for. I'm sure they will say it's too late to do anything when I can return again. Love Terrezza, some staff need reprimanded for overselling, poor manners and communication. read more

Only seen him once. He was obnoxious and had bad breath. When I came out to the front to pay I told them I wanted a copy of my prescription. The girl tells me "we don't give out copy's of prescriptions, if you order from another competitor we'll have to fax the script over to them. I said "oh no, by law you have to give me a copy of my prescriptions." She said but that not our policy, we only fax them over to whomever you're ordering from. I told her I wanted the optometrist out here NOW that I was done talking to her. She went back and spoke with him and came back and said "ok, we'll give you a copy just this one time, but next time you'll have to have it faxed over or order through us." I said there won't be a next time. She proceeded to make me wait 20 mins before giving me my prescription copy. read more

Tried them out for the first time and was impressed with the level of service I received. Dr. Ballard was both personable and knowledgeable. He gave me sound advice, addressed all my concerns and made recommendations. The location is right in downtown, parking shouldn't be an issue as long as you go during non peak hours. I don't wear glasses currently nor have the need for them, but at a glance it looked like they had a decent selection of eyewear at the office. Overall, I'm happy that I selected to go with Terrazza optical and I would certainly recommend them without hesitation. Beware of the phony Yelp reviews. They are so easily spotted, I wish Yelp did a better job filtering out the haters. read more

Mixed emotions! Went to Bell and Terrazzo on 9mile. I'm new here and recommended to them. Close to my home. Nice office. Nice staff. Dr Ballard was nice and I felt I had a great exam. Not very personable but efficient. Recd my glasses and could not see at all. Progressive lenses but I could tell the prescription was off ! Almost had an accident. Went back and that day staff was abrupt and rude! Never looked up just said "you need something". Ummmm yes! Explained issue and was remeasured. Was told yes prescription is way off. Almost 2 weeks later still no glasses and no update. Called today and was told in process and that's all they could tell me! I paid for eyeglasses and I can't get an update? Where is the lab in Europe! Not impressed with lack of customer care or concern after you paid! Hmmmmmm read more

I just called today, 29 July 2022. I talked a lady that introduced herself as Hanna. I inquired if it would be possible to stop in to see if I could get my broken readers replaced with a new pair. I also mentioned that I was only in town for a short time. There was a pause, then Hanna informed me that "Tomorrow is Saturday.., we are closed on Saturday." I almost replied, "Thanks for reminding me that tomorrow is Saturday! I somehow forgot that today is Friday!" Maybe it's just me but it is it too much to expect people to be courteous? How bout a "Sorry (insert a salutation), unfortunately we are closed on weekends, could I make an appointment for you on Monday?" I hope the Optometrist is good cause Hanna left a terrible first impression. read more

Hannah Sahawneh communicates thoroughly, is extremely informative, very knowledgable, compassionate and conducts the entire eye examine in a caring manner. Phoenix Spaulding is the office manager who goes above and beyond with her expertise and care she distributes. Phoenix will make sure you receive the absolute best when choosing the correct glasses and products. Ian is also notable with his optical skills and sharing knowledge throughout the visit. Everything from the office, to the showroom, to the selection, to the staff are top notch. I was even seen BEFORE my appt time since I was there early. The staff is prompt and professional. The lady greets everyone with "DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT", so she knows where to direct you. I dont care if you say hi or bye AS LONG as PEOPLE are MOVING IN AND OUT OF THE OFFICE, which they were. The Dr was prompt. The staff went ABOVE and beyond trying to please their clients. If anyone in town asks me who to go to for glasses OR they need their eyes examined, I will be referring them to Terrezza, a LOCALLY OWNED SHOP, without reservation!! read more

A screw came out of a friend's glasses, and our attempts to repair them with a drugstore kit were unsuccessful. Fortunately, the folks at Terrezza saved the day! They had us in and out in under 15 minutes, and they didn't charge us a cent. They also took the time to make sure the frames sat correctly on my friend's face after the repair job. Absolutely none of the staff including the doctor wore a mask. The sign on the door said masks were recommended but not required. I specifically asked on three calls prior to my appointment if they took my insurance, even the week before. They said yes. As I was checking out I was informed that they quit taking my insurance over a month and a half before. I had to pay a specialist copay. Won't be going back. read more

I use Bell and Terrezza on Fairfield. I called up to have my distance (driving) prescription sent to me. I received a prescription from them and ordered my glasses online with that prescription. When I received the glasses I realized that they were for reading (not driving), which is what I needed. I already had reading glasses. When I called Terrezza up about it, they refused to make it right, saying they would not change the lenses for me, even though it was their fault for sending the wrong prescription. I really appreciate Dr. Terrezza and the time he took to help my husband and I with our eyeglasses. We both had a hard time finding the right prescription and he was very patient with us. We both had to come back to get a prescription adjustment and he was so helpful with explaining why we had issues. Our adjusted glasses worked perfectly and we are both so happy with our new glasses and prescriptions. Dr. Terrezza is a great person to work with and really understands all sorts of eye conditions. If you've had a hard time getting your prescription right, I highly recommend that you go and see him. read more

I went to Bell &Terrezza located on Fairfield Drive to pick up my glasses; while I was there I noticed a lady looking at the glass frames. She coughed into her hand and continued picking up frames. There was no employee with her and no indication that she was there to purchase glasses, she was just looking. Because of the serious spread of the coronavirus I was concerned so I called the Bell & Terrezza to provide them with this information. I was told by a Bell and Terrezza employee that this is normal practice and people were welcome to look at and try on glass frames. She stated that an employee would wipe the glasses. No employee wiped the frames, no employee was with her and no employee was watching her. All I witnessed was a customer spreading whatever germs she may or may not have, even the coronavirus. I was surprised at the careless disregard of the potential spread of a virus, even the coronavirus. read more

I chose Dr. Terrezza's office on the recommendation of two of my friends. When I went to the desk to check in, there were two ladies at the counter and two ladies standing behind them talking crap about some of their coworkers. The lady checking me in was nice but I noticed she greeted everyone (including me) with "do you have an appointment?" rather than just saying hi first. The lady who took me back and got me started was pleasant as well. I saw Dr. Reid, who I also liked. The lady who helped me pick out my glasses and the other lady who was back in that section were my favorites, because they were so upbeat and friendly, but the two of them were also talking crap about some of their other coworkers. Bottom line, idc about their office drama as long as I am seen on time, they're nice to me, and I can get up out of there in a reasonable timeframe. I have two more appointments set with them already so I'm definitely going back. read more
