    Best of the Wurst
    Melanie M.

Beautiful view of a stream and disc golf course. Flight of beer was just ok - black lager, big yellow bullet, pink gauva, BC light. Black Lager was the best of the flight. Ordered Best of the Wurst - knackwurst, bratwurst, garlic pepper sausage. Garlic peeper sausage was juicy and so flavorful. It reminded me more of a brat than the bratwurst. Spicy mustard and tangy bbq were both good. The sauerkraut tasted jarred and not homemade. The grilled onions were amazing - wish I was served more! The fries were also good - like thin steak fries.

Gives off edgy brewery vibes and the disc golf viewing from the windows was a neat feature! We enjoyed the schnitzel and best of the wurst sausage sampler plate. The German fries were more like American fries...cheese, bacon & onions! LOL! Still good, though! We had amazing service from Olivia who provided our table exceptional customer service & hospitality! On the service alone would rate 6 out of 5 stars!

German specialties and beer! Very reasonable prices and generous portions. Bratwurst sandwich was excellent. Schnitzel platter with spaetzl and mushroom sauce--YUM!! Friendly and professional staff.

Big pretzel with beer cheese, maple mustard, regular mustard and spicy mustard.

Pretzel was really good with the beer cheese. Grilled cheese was good. Fryer wasn't working that day so some things we couldn't try but they substituted for the spinach artichoke dip and pasta salad. Some was bland. We would definitely get the pretzel again. Not really a place for kids at all. Which we went just us thankfully. We enjoyed our evening together. But just missing garlic salt flavor in spinach artichoke dip which I added when I got home.

We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. The place was clean and staff was friendly. Their fryer was clearly down with some menu items not available. I had the best of the wurst with a pasta salad. It was just in the 'ok' range. Not great, but not bad either. Pretzel app was very good with beer cheese. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich that was decent, but again not great. The spinach artichoke dip was bland. Not sure if we will be back again or not.

Very nice open and inviting atmosphere. Our server was friendly, helpful and very attentive. I had already looked at the Yelp reviews the night before as well as the menu. I had it narrowed down to three choices and per our servers recommendation I ordered the Best of the Wurst, 3 chef's choice sausages, sauerkraut fries. You also pick two sauces. Our order came very quickly and was a great combination. I am already planning a return trip to try some of the other items on the menu.

I stopped in last night with friends and the place was pretty busy. We were greeted quickly by the hostess and our server was quick to get our beer order. They have several beers on tap and I tasted a couple; both of which were nice tasting. They had a grapefruit sour on tap, which was modestly tart, but not too tart. I chose to drink something a little more conservative, but at about 7% ABV. Although a little higher in content, it was not overpowering and had a fantastic mouth feel. We chatted for a few minutes with a brewer, who was able to answer any questions that we had and they did so with a smile. I intend to come back very soon with friends and spend a little more time sampling the food, which smelled amazing.

    Howlers of beer

In town for a few weeks and gave this place a shot. The food was great. Everything was fresh and reminded me of my time spent in Germany. The curry ketchup with the fries was spot on! Great job! I also purchased a "howler" of the "dezemberfest" beer. Great brew! I will be back!

Big fan of Territorial for the great beers and fantastic German-inspired food. I'd venture to say that the food here is even better than Bell's or Hopcat's food. I've been here 3 times and haven't had a beer I didn't like. I've tried the following food items: *Pretzel (Bavarian-style soft pretzel, with a choice of mustards or house-made condiments) - added the beer cheese for the extra dollar. It's a solid pretzel - I haven't met a pretzel I didn't like though. The beer cheese was a little sweeter than I was used to. I did love the mustard though; the sweet maple mustard with the pretzel is outstanding. *German Fries - they're cut into slices as opposed to tradt'l matchstick/wedge form. I thoroughly enjoy these as well. Get the mushroom sauce!!! I haven't had them loaded, but people seem to love the loaded german fries as well. *Kale Slaw (Kale, Granny Smith apples, purple cabbage.) - The first time I had this, it was beautiful. The second time, it was a little old and soggy. But, it's a nice way to get in some greens. *Best of the Wurst (Chef's selection of three sausages, sauerkraut, caramelized onions, German fries. Served with two condiments of your choice.) - For $7.95, this is a killer deal! I ate all 3 by myself - no shame. My least favorite was the Weisswurst (Bavarian white sausage, mild in flavor.) but only because the Knackwurst (Short, thick sausage made of finely ground pork, flavored with plenty of garlic. The name comes from the German "knacken," which means "to crack.") was OUTSTANDING. Our server recommended some kind of horseradish-y mustard and I loved it with all 3. Territorial can get pretty busy so plan accordingly! It was also great fun watching the World Cup games feat. Team Germany here! They apparently do a brunch now so I'll have to try that sometime! 180/365

    Buffalo wings...HUGE!

So I was uncharacteristically in Battle Creek kind of hanging out. My friend and I were both hungry so decided to eat in BC as opposed to driving back to Kzoo. Being unfamiliar with the food scene in BC, we went to our trusted Google for suggestions. Nothing sounded interesting until we saw "Territorial Brewing Co.", so off we went! Turned out to be an excellent choice! It's a fairly small but surprisingly un-cramped spot. The service was spot on and friendly. As we hadn't really done any pre-visit research, we were both pleasantly surprised at the German inspired menu! After a few moments to soak it in, I ended up ordering the Buffalo Wings (I know I know, but I already had that set in my mind before I knew it was German food lol) and a Knockwurst on the side. My friend ordered Sauerbraten. Took a few to come out, although it wasn't busy at all. Not a bad thing though as I took it to mean our food was being freshly prepared. The taste backed up that notion 100%! Starting with the wings, MAN the portion was great! The wings were HUGE and the buffalo sauce was classic! Just the right amount of heat. I should have just ordered those because I was definitely satisfied when I finished them! Because of that I opted to eat the knockwurst without the bun, with just the sauerkraut. SO tasty! My friends dish looked and smelled great! They gave it a total thumbs up and polished it off. Overall it was a great experience and now I have a reason to visit BC to eat, other than the Asian buffet. Next time I will try one of their award winning brews..

This place was great! We had their big Bavarian pretzel and of course libations to boot! I will definitely be returning to Territorial Brewing Company!

The indoor/ outdoor space blends together in the warmer months with cool hangout spaces and game areas. This place is truly a work of art. Drink lists abound, but because it was lunchtime we stuck to food. We were not disappointed. Everything was well conceived and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try the bone bread next time, stew and scrumptious sounding salads. Today we had the kids smash burger, Brussels burger with frites and fried haddock and frites with a delicious coleslaw. The best part? Different sauces to choose to dip the fries in. The curry ketchup was the best (special shout out for *actually* cooking the curry into the ketchup) as it did not taste of raw curry. They definitely don't cut corners here. We noticed, and we appreciated it. We will be back.

Yes, they have a small parking lot, and don't fret if you have the park on the street like we did, as we were seating promptly and it didn't feel too crowded. Since we were seated at high tops near the bar, the bar tender was our waitress, and she is literally the nicest, good energy, engaging human ever! She also whips up the custom, creative mimosa recipes, kudos to her for her awesomeness! I ordered the Shakshuka, flavorful, delicious, would order again. Even as a non-vegan, it was satisfying and would recommend to everyone. Husband had the 1964 Worlds Fair Waffle, and it was tiny. Not what you envision when you think of Belgian waffles. He also ordered the Belgian Forest Bacon, again VERY small portion, so much so that at the end of the meal, he had to order a side of the Smashed Maple Sausage. Both our drinks (I had the mimosa) were fantastic and worth ordering, loved the glassware! Aside from the small portions of waffle, bacon, and sausage, the cheerful vibes here are contagious, and I'd dine here again in a heartbeat!

We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. The drinks were okay for the price but not particularly memorable. The standout was the NY strip steak, which was easily the best part of the meal and really well done. We also ordered the beer battered fries to start and they were fine, nothing bad but nothing special about them either. My only real complaint is the limited menu availability. Two of the six entrées were already sold out by the time we got there, even though my partner made the reservation weeks in advance. I understand the realities of a farm to table model and respect the commitment to sourcing and seasonality, but on a fixed, high-demand holiday, the limited options were noticeable and slightly disappointing . Overall it was still a good experience, just one that could have been better with a bit more menu flexibility. Hoping to be back on a less busy day in the summer since I really want to love this restaurant!
