Went there after a hockey game and walked right in on a Saturday night. It was a little later, 8pm. Server was great, food was very good. The onion rings are HUGE. Delicious but a little greasy. I had steak bites, a January feature, which were cooked perfectly at medium, and cream of mushroom soup. My husband had pizza which he said was good. We ( 5) sat outdoors at around 2pm on a Saturday. No customers inside. And there were 6 tables of 2-4 folks at each table outside. We got seated immediately with water served . Our drink orders were taken after 15 minutes. Our drinks took another 20 minutes to arrive. We asked for another glass to share a drink. That never arrived until I walked inside after another 15 minutes, to ask someone for an extra glass. The server walked away with out taking our food order. A second round of drinks were ordered. Taking too much time. We finally ordered our food, which it took another 30 minute to arrive. The food was very good. Turkey burgers, chicken Thai wraps and French fries. We finished but didn't see our server for quite some time. I had to go in to let her know we were ready. Overall a frustrating time waiting for everything. Ill start off by saying this review was originally from a few years ago, but I've been since to another bad experience so the review stands. The menu has changed since. Ended up coming in only because we wanted to get the beer trail passports stamped. One of our party didn't get a stamp so we made plans to get dinner there later on. The day we came back in was packed, incredibly loud. Waitress was nice but barely ever came back. Ordered 2 pretzel apps because we had a larger party and it said it was only 3 sticks (seems the order now is only 2 sticks*). You should NOT call these pretzels, they were just flakey dry breadsticks, some were burnt upon arrival. The cheese was decent, but only got about half a cup to be shared between both orders (not worth the 10 bucks) We placed our orders and waited well over an hour for the food to come. Several items came wrong! Bean burger came without guacamole, 2 of the (small) turkey clubs came different when they were supposed to be the same & the prosciutto was very thick and not appetizing at all, both of the people that got the club took it off. Pulled pork tasted like straight vinegar (we all passed it around to try - not like any other nc BBQ we have ever tried and it was very off putting, practically burned our noses). Some plates came with, probably, less than 10 fries. The only one with a decent amount was the fajita/Mexican dish? plate. One random complaint - all meals came with pickles except for one club...(doesn't look like the meals come with a pickle any longer*) We asked for the pickle to be brought & the waitress didn't bring it. We mentioned again, at least 15 minutes later, that it wasn't brought and she just chuckled and said, "sorry guys" and still never returned with the pickle?? It's less about the pickle and more about the inconsistencies and lack of good service. Overall, this meh experience took about 2.5 hours, was incredibly overpriced for the portions and quality of the food. Beer is so-so, cider isn't bad, we did take a bottle to go for those who didn't join us for dinner. Disappointed that we brought our out of town guest there for dinner - plenty of delicious and affordable food in kalamazoo. We got our stamps, but probably won't be back. read more

This was the cutest mircrobrewery find! It's in a century old repurposed church and was a fun stop for a quick flight and nibble! The food was very good, we had the zucchini fritters. I had a flight of all the ciders, they were good, but nothing to write home about. The only problem I had was that they had six ciders and I was told they were out of one, so I asked for a flight of the other five. I got five back, but the one they were out of was still on the tag. It took me a short while to flag down the waiter after I saw that to ask about it, and ask which ones I really had. Turns out they had six ciders, a random one in the middle of the list got omitted. Had lunch here today to celebrate my Aunts birthday. The waitress was very helpful with all of our questions and needs. She was so sweet. Our food was delicious! I am sorry that I did not take any pictures as I was just enjoy the food and company! We had their cheese burger with fries, the Bison burger, the fried chicken sandwich, the Asian chicken lettuce wraps and the brisket tacos!! All very delicious. Very nice server and good service. Tried this restaurant because they were supposed to have good wings. Wings were as small as you can possible get and still be called chicken and were dry and boring. 3 out of 10 stars on the wings (they could have been worse but only if you intentionally tried) Also ordered med rare steak bites and they were served well done, grey all the way through and chewy, but had good flavor. The beer is fresh and always changing; using local fruit and other ingredients. The food is considered farm to table and they boast about almost everything being raised locally. Some of the menu items are a little odd to me, like a pork rind nacho, but to each their own I suppose and although odd, still tastes decent. I prefer to eat things that are a little heartier, so end up with a nice thick sandwich or a steak that is cooked to near perfection. This brewery was a MUST stop for me because I just so happened to have gone to school with the brew master, Jeremy and is owned by another family that I went to school with. I love to see my friends doing what they love and being successful at it! We did try more here than most other new breweries as they also have yummy ciders for me to taste. Idle Time, Farmer's Tan, Fruitridge Wheat, P-51 Porter, Dry Hard Cider, Blueberry Hard Cider, Pineapple Hard Cider, Cherry Hard Cider were on our flights and then we got a sample of the Triple J and Friar's Ascension. We did not eat here but I was watching as the food came out and it all looked delicious so maybe next time. Be warned. The food here is generic and terribly overpriced for the quality. It claims to be a farm to table type restaurant. But the dishes were plain, small, and overpriced, with little flavor. The brisket ($28) was tough with no flavor, fatty, and a small portion for the money, along with two small portions of generic baked beans and potato salad. The chartreuse type of app plate was kind of a joke for $20. A few slices of bland salami, a hard boiled egg, a small cube of generic cojack cheese, 1/4 of an apple, a radish, a small dish of generic jelly and a small bread roll. The hot cheese dip app was pretty good, but $17. The chicken Cobb salad was a basic garden salad with a little bacon and some chicken cubes along with generic thousand island dressing for $20. Two main dishes, a salad and two apps and no drinks were $140 with a tip. It has nice indoor and outdoor seating, but that is the only nice part about it. We won't be going back. read more

Some friends at the table ordered the bison burger and LOVED it. I mean, c'mon, where can you get BISON?! I was able to quickly snap a shot of their house-made potato chips with garlic parsley parmesan... DROOL. A must-go if you're passing through or live in the area. We sat outside but the 100 year-old restored church was a delight to see and can't wait to experience dining inside when I go back! We're grateful and happy that Texas Corners is open during covid and has an indoor and outdoor option. They have been changing their menu periodically and everytime they come out with great vegetarian options. What we like about the food here is the freshness in the food. They do not have a lot of vegetarian options but they ones they have are freshly prepared and will give your taste buds a good surprise! We ordered the artichoke burger, linguine with vegetables and garlic hummus with pita. Everything was well prepared and super tasty. The burger has a great crisp to it (never had this delicious artichoke patty before). Along with food, the main attraction for us are their beers and ciders. We tried the cherry cider and else cider and both were crisp and amazing! We appreciate being able to join the wait list via Yelp, else the wait times on a beautiful sunny day are over an hour. The service is great and even the people are really nice and will do anything to ensure that your experience is good! After a Yelp event in an area we barely knew existed, we decided we needed to explore Texas Corners. With many great choices, we chose Texas Corners Brewing Company. Being a beer drinking pastor, it was great to go into what used to be an old church, for a good Imperial Porter. Walking in I saw the specials, and then we entered " the sanctuary" which had an old meets new feel with a modern, classy bar and great choices for decor on the walls. Looking at the menu, it was a nice simple menu with a great variety. In the two pages their were enough things to make it a hard choice what to order. I asked the server about the specials, unfortunately she did not know and had to get a sheet from the back to describe them. In asking what was good she said everything. In my book that's a great sign or a really bad sign but I went with the everything theory. I ordered the Corned Beef Special and my wife ordered the Cajun Mac and Cheese. I also added the Imperial Porter to my list as I love a good Bourbon Barrel Porter or Stout. The Cajun Mac and Cheese was delicious, my wife and I shared it and both left full. The Andouille Sausage, shrimp, chicken and cheese sauce were all a great combination with some crispy bacon on top to add to the flavor profile and texture. It was so rich and creamy it was hard for both of us together to finish it. The only critique I would have (which is a common critique of mine in the north) is that it needs heat, even an option for more heat would have been great. The small salad that came with it was a nice fresh salad and the Bleu Cheese dressing was thick and creamy. The Corned Beef special was disappointing. The corned beef was tough and cubed not shredded. It consisted of cabbage, mini reds, carrots, corned beef with scrambled eggs and cheese on top. It was really one note and the corned beef was chewy. The server had no problem taking it back and the manager was more than willing to take it off our bill and offer a free desert which we declined out of principle ( I'm not in it for the free food, I am in it for good food). Even though the special was disappointing the overall meal and experience were good, It is definitely a place we plan to visit again. If you want a good beer and a good food in a friendly atmoshphere, Texas Corners Brewing Company is the place to go. It's worth the journey of of I-94 to visit Texas Corners. My wife and I really enjoy the food and beer here! The iceberg wedge is great and the pretzels are some of the best in town. The place is quaint and really nice outside in the summer. It's got a lot going for it. I normally don't go out of my way to write ANYTHING negative during these reviews (or write reviews in general) because I know how tough the restaurant industry can be, but our experience tonight was not great. My wife and I made reservations and drove the 25 minutes out to TCBC. The restaurant was busy (it usually is on Friday night!) Upon arrival, there was another party of 2 in front of us at the line. The host asked if they were Rob. They said "no", at which point my wife spoke up and told the host that we were Rob. The host proceeded to seat the other party of 2 at the table that we had reserved on Yelp. When we spoke to a different hostess, she said that it would be a 20 minute wait for our table with no apology or acknowledgment that our reserved table had been given to another party. We decided to leave instead, disappointed because we did want to enjoy all that TCBC has to offer. As we were leaving, we got the text saying that our table was ready (it was not). Again, love the food, beer and atmosphere which is why this place deserves more stars. However, please make sure staff honors reservations. read more
