This is a place that needs the owner to invest. When you need to search the entire place for a barstool that isn't falling apart it is ridiculous. The staff is great but over burdened. Stopped in with a friend for a drink and appetizers. Heard the saratoga chips were good but ours were on the edge of burnt, couldn't eat more than a few. Nachos were so loaded down the chips were soggie. Ordered a shot of whiskey, tasted watered down. Not sure I'm willing to give this place another try. read more

Terry B's is a new tavern on the west side of Hamilton. It's not a big place, and the owner is sociable and does his best to keep his customers happy. There isn't a lot of seating/tables in the place, and if the band is popular, you may end up standing through the night (I did). If you want a drink, it seems you have to go up to the bar, no waiter/waitress service (maybe it was just because it was a busy Friday). The good news is, the drinks are on the cheap side. I was paying $3 or so for a pint of Sam Adam's. If smoke bothers you, you may want to know that people smoke in this bar despite the ban. As compared to Kentucky bars, it's nothing overwhelming, but it is there. The other thing to note is that Terry B's seems to draw an older crowd. If you're 21 and out for your first drinking binge, you won't be shunned, but this is probably not the crowd you're looking for. When I was there, it seemed most folks were in their 40's and up. I got a chance to talk with Terry B while I was there. Really nice guy, really enjoyed the place. He seems to be trying to create a place that the locals will go to. I will go back again. read more

Not a bad place, nice little tavern with a great selection of drinks. (I recommend the sex on the beach) Everything they use for their food and drinks is fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was great as well, the music was mostly country though not too diverse. Karaoke night was fun and wow some people will make your jaw drop when they sing. read more

I wouldn't touch this place with a ten foot pole! Last night a friend of mine visited this bar. He was called racial slurs and threatened. When he approached the owner to let them know of the incident he was subsequently kicked out. According to others this isn't the first racial incident they have either. Expected a fun, casual night out on the town but when I arrived to Terry B's, it quickly came to me that this place seemed like nothing more than a place for ladies of the night. I didn't like that Terry B has a wife but is dating his bar waitress, she's not only a horrible waitress but is also probably among the dumbest in Hamilton. Just moved to Hamilton. My husband and I love to prefer to go to local neighborhood establishments. We were excited about visiting and trying Terry B's Tavern out to establish a new favorite spot to go to! We walked out over an hour later, totally disappointed. We placed an order for two simple straight-up menu items. (Quesadillas and a sandwich). AFTER WAITING 45 mins, we asked what was the status? AFTER AN HOUR LATER ... we paid our bill for 2 drinks and walked out. The bar WAS NOT BUSY. No one else was eating (if was after 10pm). The Bar Attendant stated she was alone with one kitchen helper. If you cannot accommodate after hours food, close the kitchen! Don't disrespect your guests having to wait over an hour for food. We could have literally gone to the grocery, cooked and served our simple meal in that amount of time. We will not be returning, for we want to support small businesses and neighborhood eateries/bars that have their act together and consider customer service as their top priority. read more

Just came home from Terry B's and will probably never go back. My boyfriend and I went there for food, drinks and karaoke. The drinks prices during happy hour were ok but the food...that's another story. But first, even before entering the "tavern", you have to read all the generic signs by the front door. The dress code, ID policy and, oddly, a "NO Gang Colors" sign. Now, since I am not a member of a gang, I'm not sure of the colors and was therefore concerned if I was violating this policy or not. Strange thing to have to worry about when I am 39 and just want to have a drink and support my local businesses. On to the food...the prices are very strange; high for some things but low for others. My boyfriend ordered dbl cheeseburger and chips for $5 but my chicken tenders were $6.50 with no chips! And I don't think there is a cook as the bartender took our order, then returned to the bar until the telltale "ding" of the microwave let her know our order was "up"!! I know the chicken was microwaved as the outside was very hot and the inside was still cold. So I paid $6.50 for microwaved chicken!! yummy! One more strange thing. On each table is the menu and on the back of the menu is a "history" of the tavern. Terry talks of the 14 months of planning that went into the place and how he wanted the west side of Hamilton to have a place to gather with friends and just relax. Then there is a paragraph stating no illegal drugs are to be used or sold on the property or there is a "one strike and you're out for life" policy. I support that, but looking around, there are people smoking which is also against the law. What a contradiction! All and all, I did not enjoy the time there and thought the place lacked warmth, character and energy. We could not wait to get out and go home. I would have expected more from Mr. B. read more

Went there in August 2015. Terry came outside to personally thank us for stopping by. Food is ok. They don't have a full kitchen yet. Terry said it is expected to be complete by October. Friendly place for the 30+ crowd. Service outside was slow. The bar inside was busy so probably understaffed for a Friday. I will go back after the kitchen opens. The patrons and bartender smoke in this tavern. The smoke is over powering. The owner had a bad attitude when asked about the Ohio ban on smoking. No respect for the law. The only good thing was the band. Will not go back! read more

8 ladies went in there last night to have a few drinks and dance. We bought several rounds of drinks and probably put twenty dollars in the jukebox. When our evening started to wind down I asked the bartender for 2 glasses of ice water, he brought back 2 bottles of water and said "four dollars" I said "no I just wanted glasses of water" and he said "I have to charge you" there were only 2 people in the bar when we first came in....we spent alot more money than that place was going to see last night and can't even give patrons a free glass of ice water?? What bar does that?? There's plenty of other places to go in Hamilton and Fairfield where I'm sure we can get a free glass of water. Plus a $10 minimum to use a credit card!! Really?? I'll never be back and I won't recommend that place...EVER read more
