My vehicle has now been in your service department six times for recurring pulley failures and a transmission replacement. On two occasions, the truck became completely inoperable and required towing to your dealership service department. Most recent incident the issue presented as a severe safety hazard. Very friendly and courteous sales and finance staff. However, the overall pricing incentives, rebates, and trade-in value are very vague and fluid. Ideally look at other alternatives to get rid of your car, such as Carmax beforehand to eliminate any confusion or muddying of the waters. Also, you're going to be given generic APR for the various loan terms regardless of what your credit score personally is. It's only in the final minutes of the transaction do you truly know what APR you qualify for through dealership financing (after several hours in the dealership). I knew what my credit union could do and was told "we are very competitive" with hundreds of lenders. At the end of the day they could not come close and I was told to just refinance after the purchase. Also, when I questioned why I needed to sign up for LoJack, I was told it was already installed on the vehicle and was part of the package I was buying. I later learned that it is NOT mandatory to buy...very misleading and shady in my opinion given how expensive the subscription is. read more

I bought a vehicle 4 years ago had a great experience... returned to trade in a vehicle and purchase another and was met with the worst experience I've ever had in a dealership. Upon being pressured into providing a trade in value given from another dealership after repeatedly stating that we did not want to discuss another dealership at this time we were met by a manager calling us "liars" in the middle of the lobby. The amount of disrespect at a place of business like we experienced this visit is dumbfounding. Very unethical and horrible customer service. My (86 yo) dad paid cash for a car and was surprised how much the price increased. He asked if there was anything that was optional or could be removed and the salesperson said no. They gave him all his documents on an USB drive. When I printed the receipt there was a $1500 lowjack fee. We returned to the dealership to have it removed and they said they couldn't remove it because the contract had already been sent in. When my dad said the salesman told me nothing extra was added the manager said you should've got that in writing because I don't know what was said. Way to look after a customer! On the 28th Dec 2024 , I contacted Terry Chevrolet and spoke to Edwin, who transferred me to CJ, a sales person at the dealership. I spoke to CJ, and we came to an agreement on the price for a 2023 Mercedes-Benz C300 Black . He sent me the paperwork to review the numbers we agreed on. When I told him I was out of State, he spoke to his finance guy Sinisa Brkic and I was told I had to pay an extra $1000 as they had a service that can allow them to bring the paperwork to me out of state for signing, which I accepted. By the 3rd of January, I have paid $5000 deposit on the vehicle, the salesperson CJ informed me that the finance guy had sent out the paperwork for me to sign (I thought to myself, I'm sure I paid an extra $1000 for Maverick/notary fee ). Even though i know Notary public does NOT cost close to $1000. CJ now said the paperwork had been sent out, I waited for the paperwork to be delivered, but no paperwork arrived. On the 8th of January, I called on several occasions and finally spoke to EDWIN. He said he would look into it. I also emailed Sinisa whose details i got from my sales person, CJ. The email was sent on the 9th of January. After about a week had passed and I didn't hear anything back, I called again, and I spoke to LISA. At this point, my salesperson couldn't help me anymore. Maybe they didn't listen to him. I don't know. Sinisa did not even bother to reply to my email to my surprise. I couldn't imagine a finance manager ignoring a customers email who is giving you money. (This is an absolute disaster). I later got the documents, spoke to Sinisa about corrections to be made on the paperwork, he said he was going to resend it, and to my surprise he never DID send any documents even after we both spoke man to man. I believe he lied about sending it, till today i never received any documents. I asked for tracking , and it was not provided. I later had to call again ,only for Sinisa to tell me he will scan the docs to me to sign , I asked if he can please remove the extra $1000 charge for Maverick which was a service i had initially paid for but WAS NOT RENDERED. How can you charge me for a service that was NOT rendered. If i am being honest, I feel robbed. He said the GM or Management had said there was no way around it, and for us to move forward, i will have to pay for it. (That's a big shame to the dealership if the GM actually said that) I didn't say much because the process had taken too long, and i had travel plans i had pushed back because of this purchase. I gave him the $1000( again for service that was not rendered). I have proof of this. I finally signed the paperwork, scanned it back to him, and sent the balance payment for the 23 Mercedes-Benz c300. This entire process was an absolute nightmare, and honestly, the finance manager Sinisa lacked empathy, and his service was the worst I have ever come across since I've been buying cars. I think your staff and the managers all need excessive training in customer service. Finally, i received my car on Feb 5th, 2025, a CASH DEAL process I started on Dec 28th, 2025. I would also like to demand my $1000 refund for a Maverick service that was not rendered. I feel like I was taken advantage of due to the fact that I was out of state. I even spoke to Jay, one of the managers, explained my situation and he said he would call me back after talking to GM and NEVER cared to call me back with a resolution to this. Within the last year, my vehicle has been in the shop for 6 months. It was there Nov and Dec last year, picked up in Jan, drove for about a week, and started acting up. Dropped off again in April, it was there for 3 months that time. Picked it up and within a week, it started acting up again. It has now been back there for a month. I have contacted GM in April as well, and they have not been of any help. They are supposed to offer some payment reimbursement and trade assistance. Again, I'm getting the run around there as well. When I talk with GM they are always waiting on the dealership to get back with them. I tried to purchase a new truck; however, they say they are discounting the price. All they are doing is adding $4,500 worth of items to keep the cost around sticker; by the way, they were adding $1,000 for running boards that were already factory power boards built into the sticker. They offered me a trade allowance, but then lowered the ACV by 10k. I'm in the automotive business, and I can not believe how they are handling this. The only reason I am using them is that we do not own a Chevrolet store in the NC market. No manager from Terry Labonte has even had the common courtesy of calling me. read more

Despite the negative reviews, they had the trailblazer I wanted so I reached out and within an hour Tim had sent me a video of the vehicle inside and out. We were able to work out the numbers and discounts over the phone since I live 200 miles away. I was able to walk in and sign the paperwork, and drive away within two hours no issues whatsoever. Nick (finance) is quick and very helpful in finding the best rates and truly wants to save you money any way he can. Nick and Tim are two of the most respectful, honest salesman and men I've ever met. No funny business just genuinely want whats best for the customer. We loved this dealership so much that we ended up coming back and buying a colorado and same thing, very fast, no issues and left extremely satisfied. We went to this dealership first to test drive a car we were looking to buy. Things were looking up when we arrived and the car was washed and waiting for us at the front of the dealership. It had a ton of water spots so it was a quick run through the wash but not the attention to detail of wiping it down so it really looked nice. Just a quick wash and go. Our salesman came out and we checked out the car and went for a test drive. So far so good. This is where things changed. During the test drive the salesman got on his phone and kind of forgot about us. I asked a few questions while we were driving and I had to ask twice each time because he kept saying "huh" because he truly was not listening or paying attention to us. Kind of felt like he didn't want to be there at all. When we went back to the dealership we decided to negotiate on the car and we sat down - after searching to locate our salesman who was nowhere to be found- and went through the game of wait and back and forth. Just the way this all played out was typical with the dealer barely nudging and writing "final deal" on their offer. About what we expected but disappointing. We ended up walking out over less than a $1,000 difference. We just didn't feel good and didn't feel like the salesman was vested in the company or the sale. He made us feel like we were keeping him from drinking his coffee. Hendrix did not bring their A game today. We ended up going to another dealership and purchasing a car that we felt much better about. Feel like we dodged a bullet on this car and definitely feel like the salesman didn't earn the sale at all. Terrible customer service and no one knows what they are doing. There is no way that it should take over 6 hours to get a vehicle and then with all of their fees an originally priced truck of $19500 magically goes up to almost $25000. I have never heard of such. Working with Phillip who had been there 5 1/2 years and he had no idea what he was doing. When emailing the bill of sale to the bank he had to redo it, not just a couple times, but 6 TIMES. Just don't waste it time of money at this establishment. Car buying is supposed to be fun and exciting, not a living hell. Worst experience ever!! Even spoke with the sales manager and they were rude and disrespectful. Said that my motor in the car was no good an that the cam bearing was going bad!! I drop the car off somewhere else that wasn't quoting me 11000 for a parts an labor as they did!! Whenever the shop started taking the car apart an got the motor apart they said the only this was wrong was the oil pick up tube needed a new gasket which is a $125 fix at the most! Salesman Mike Wilborne was unprofessional, He called many times wanting me to come in about buying a car. He did sell me a car so I thought I was obligated. Let me point out. The car I bought was a no brainer and he didn't sell it to me. It sold itself. I had come in twice to buy a car. Both times he was not there during his scheduled work time. On the third time he refused to aid in ANY discounts or incentives. I have an excellent credit rating and was told that I did not qualify for the 2.1% finance option they had. LET ME POINT OUT THAT I HAVE BOUGHT OVER $250,000 WORTH OF CARS FROM HENDRICKS MOTORS IN 4 YEARS!! Mike again was not in at work. Another eager salesman came to help me and plugged in all my cars numbers, personal info and even had my car appraised. All Mike had to do was give me numbers. Mike arrived 45 minutes later. He was very cocky and acted like he was the bomb. He told me it would just be a few minutes and he would be ready with what I needed. 30 minutes went by. I was playing games on my phone. He came by and said 5 more minutes. I told him that I had to leave within 40 more minutes to pick up my kids. 20 minutes went by and he directed me to his desk where he pulled up the info the other salmon plugged into the computer. Mike had no numbers for me. He had no clue about what I was seeking even after having a conversation about it 1 hour past. AFTER 2 HOURS, I got up and walked to the center enclosed room where he was inside jaw jacking with employees. I asked for my keys and said that I had to go. Again he said Im trying to get you the best deal, give me 5 minutes. I told him that he had 2 hours and I had no numbers. He tried to say that they just finished appraising my car for a trade. I advised that I watched them repack my car from appraising it 1.5 hours ago. I told him that he wa unprofessional and the worst salesman ever. I told him that he lost a sale of a $50,000 car today. I obtained my keys and he followed me out trying to say that he had numbers and was working for me I told him to F off because he had waisted 2 hours of MY TIME and that MY TIME was valuable! I further went on telling him Id rather speak with the helpful young salesman I spoke with earlier. That salesman was outside with me and Mike began telling him to go inside. He began pushing the salesman to the doors of the building. I told him to get his hands off the salesman and for him to go away. He then began to tell me to leave etc. I was loud and yet no manager came out to help out. I had a nice crowd watching but NO ONE WANTED TO HELP. Mike then cursed me and I reminded him that he was doing the same as I but he was the employee. Again, no managers came out to help. I watched Mike go inside and begin to talk with a man dressed differently than the rest. I assumed it was a manager. I walked inside and asked if he was the manager. He stated that he was one one the truck department. Upon asking his name, I was told it was Travis welbourne. I explained the situation to him. He acted like this was no big deal. I told him no less than 5 times that I had been waiting now over 2 hours and have not even got any numbers for my potential purchase or trade only to be repeatedly told to wait. Finally the lightbulb seemed to click at the fact that after 2 hours nothing had been done to assist me. He then gave me his name and number saying for me to call him and he would ensure that the younger man would assist me in the future. Umm wait what?? Me call him?? I never received an apology. I should not be the one reaching out to anyone. In fact, I should be the one being reached out to by the dealership. My time was wasted. I was given the run around by Mike Wilborne and cursed at. He is very unprofessional and does not reflect what I believe this dealership wants as a reputation. It shouldn't matter how much a person spends to be treated this way. Brought my car in for collision repair. My experience started out great. Was told to leave my car so they could do a thorough inspection on the damage and they even ordered used parts to stop from totalling my car. The link they sent me said the car would be ready on a Friday. Friday came and the link said the car was still in the repair process and couldn't get a return phone call. Tuesday came around and I played phone tag with the service writer but never got to talk to him. Went to pick up the car and the remote battery was dead. Got the car home and the hatch wasn't adjust correctly and the licence plate and mount was loose and ready to fall off. Had to modify the sticker plate for the hatch and put bigger screws in the licence plate mount since they stripped out the mounting holes myself. Also the enterprise rental agency they recommend sucked. Played phone tag with them. Left messages. Never got a rental car. read more

Bait and Switch TL;DR: Vehicle was listed online for $67,360... Actual price was $74,860 after dealer add-ons. Vehicle was listed online for $67,360 after a $7,500 discount. I was also offered an additional $500 discount for scheduling a VIP appointment. After arriving to the dealership, the discount was reduced to $5,000, and the additional $500 discount for scheduling an appointment online was not honored. $5K worth of dealer added accessories were then added to the price bringing the vehicle back to MSRP. Dealer added accessories included: nitrogen filled tires, window tint, floor liners, ceramic coating, wheel well liners and a LoJack gps tracking device. The concerning part was the vehicle comes from the factory with OnStar gps tracking, floor liners, and wheel well liners pre-installed. The vehicle was still in transit and had not yet been delivered to the dealership, so I requested that the additional accessories not be added to the vehicle. The dealership responded by offering to sell me the vehicle for MSRP with no discounts. Unfortunately, dealer add-ons and hidden fees have become the new normal as smaller family-owned dealerships continue to be bought out by auto conglomerates such as Hendrick Automotive. We had an appointment to test drive a used ford fusion on July 17th at 2:00. We get to the dealership and sat there with the salesman for 45 minutes at which time he took us to the used lot to locate the vehicle. He told us he didn't have access to the keys as a technician had them and they were in a meeting. After walking the parking lots for another 45 minutes in the heat, he found the car and they were supposedly taking it to service as there was an issue. We get back into the show room and someone was backing the car out for a test drive. The salesman told us if we wanted to wait for them to come back we could drive it. When the car returned to the lot we were told we couldn't drive it, it needed to go to service. We expressed our interest in purchasing the car and we're told they would contact me as soon as it was fixed. During the following week we followed up several times to check the status. We had a blank check ready to make the purchase. Fast forward to today, July 24th, l got a text message saying that the car sold on Saturday! They couldn't even pick the phone up and call me!! absolutely the reason dealerships will die i originally offer to buy then they use dealership tactics switching the mildly unprofessional and dumb person we had been dealing with named anas with incredibly aggressive derrick. he ends up offering a "gift" which was completely saying it was the only way we would be buying a new bolt. this "gift" would be the best deal we get in the state. so i left. there was a dealership near raleigh with a lower price... 15 minutes later i get a call offering an additional 4k off and i say no 15 minutes after that an offer 6.5k off the initial "gift". seems reasonable so i accept. i didn't realize i was accepting 2 months of hell past that. i had planned buying outright but decided to finance a little bit just to build credit. first time buying my own new car and all. they approve me "easily" and 2 days later i went to sign. all is good and i drive away my new car! weeks later they call me saying the financing apparently didn't go through. fine, i have a cosigner or i was able to afford the rest of the car worst case. i get my mom to cosign. they say all is good again and congrats on my new car. my mom had taken an extra vacation and one of her paychecks was less than average. jonathan (the finance idiot) and anas proceed to call her screaming about how she is a liar. they would repossess the car after they were the ones that messed up initially. i offered to pay the rest in cash but would take a week or two (after nearly 2 months dealing with them) but that wasn't good enough. they needed it finished sooner than that or would take the car... don't go here don't go here.. legit anywhere else. -1 out of 5 stars read more

I give then personally 5 stars. Now, other than that, Terry Lebonte as a whole has been a miserable experience. Set up an appointment to drive and potentially purchase a vehicle they were getting ready for the lot. We arrived at the appointment time to learn that the vehicle was already sold, with no phone call or anything beforehand. Once there, the price of a vehicle we looked at their dealership in Virginia went from $19,500 online to almost $24,000 if I wanted to purchase it. Also added unnecessary ceramic coating and other fees that we ultimately negotiated much cheaper because we didn't ask for that to be put on there and the online price should be the same if your in store at the same dealership. Upon purchasing the vehicle on 12/31, I wasn't able to actually see or pick up the vehicle until 1/13 because of " cosmetic repairs." Since then, my backup camera stopped working, and there was a chip in my windshield, my fender they supposedly fixed is a different color than the rest of the car, and my 2 main speakers don't work. After going in to make an appointment for these things to be fixed, I was told to come in at my designated time and that i would need to also request a rental car then. When I arrive for my appointment I'm told I needed to reserve a rental car when the appointment was made because they aren't always handy which led to me having to wait for 2 more additional weekends for an appointment to guarantee I had a car for the rest of the week. When it comes to the speakers, i called the service department, and the wait was long, so i requested to have someone call me back. I got a call back from a lady stating she worked at the establishment. She was able to verify my extended silver warranty and contract number and advised me to go to Nissan because they can not order Nissan speakers, and they will cover it under warranty. I go to Nissan, and what do you know? Nothing is covered under warranty. So now I'm being given the run around to speak to someone in management about the MULTIPLE trips back for repairs, which aren't all covered or looked at before presented to me. what's the point of spending your hard-earned money on something you NEED if people are just going to half-ass their job and not do right by the customer? The service department offered to install my speakers only after I purchased them. Which is annoying... but at least he offered. Too much Hassel. No communication between workers and even lazier work, obviously. I don't even enjoy my vehicle anymore because of fear I'll find something else wrong with it, but cheers to 5 more years on paying it. Also, my boyfriend purchased a vehicle from Enterprise on Wendover 1 month before me, and they have fixed every single issue wrong with his car, no wait time, no hassles, and no out-of-pocket expenses. And I just wish I had gone there before my car completely died and I became desperate for a vehicle and came here. Update March 16: i've called the manager Bobby since Thursday of last week and absolutely no response or callback from anyone. Trust and believe I'll be leaving a BBB review as well. read more
