Customer service was friendly, and I did get my oil change at an honest price. Unfortunately, during the oil change they did an inspection and reported a $4,000+ quote for "immediate" maintenance issues and urged me to set up a follow up appointment within the month. My car wasn't showing any signs while driving and my family's mechanic of over 20 years also found it a little sketchy. When signs of brake issues did arise 6 months later, I took it to Firestone on Prospect Ave who fixed it for a quarter of the price and I've had no issues since. Maybe Terry's was being truthful about the issues, but if so, it felt way overcharged and pressured to get it fixed sooner than necessary. read more

Called them when our battery died. They got me in right away. They were honest and told me it was not the battery but the auto start one that wasn't working. They didn't have one in-stock so I wasn't charged. I went to O'Reilly got a battery and was able to go back here for the install. The price for that was also great. read more

This is literally the one and only car repair and body shop I have ever liked. They do excellent work, have good service warranty's, and my car doesn't come back with new issues that were never there before. I think they might be the only honest repair shop in Cleveland. The price is slightly more than other places but it is WELL WORTH IT! I ordered the recommended maintenance - air filter, new wipers, and was on my way in short order. I will most definitely go back. Went this morning to drop off my car at Terry's for a diagnosis, used them in the past but have not been there in a while. When I arrived, I could not remember how to get in, I saw that the gate was pulled for the office door so I went around the corner to look in to see if they were open. A guy was vacuuming the floor so I waited a second and stuck my head in to ask what time they would be open. It was quite obvious he was not happy to see me. I was not greeted with a "good morning" or even "may I help you". I said I was there to drop off my car, he sighed and went over to the desk. He asked if I had an appointment and I said yes. He continued to sigh loudly and look to see if I had an appointment. I could tell I was not welcome, so I told him that it was okay, and I left. I don't know about the rest of the world, but I work very hard for my paycheck, and I assumed that the diagnosis was not going to be cheap. I have been on this earth for over sixty years and will no longer give my money to people who can't be bothered with a simple, courteous greeting and a less than welcoming attitude. read more

In short, Terry's is a straightforward and honest body shop that offers great service and won't rip you off. They are located close to downtown and will give you a ride after you drop your car off. If you work downtown it is perfect as you can drop your car off, get a ride to work, and the repairs will be done by the end of the day. The service is friendly and they always call to discuss options with you before doing the work. In my experience, I went to Terry's after a friend recommended me to check them out. I have a 10 y.o. Honda and I had been having issues with my brakes. When I brought it to the local dealer, they said it would cost $600 for new rear rotors and $2800 (!!!) to replace the brake lines. I brought my car to Terry's and it was done in one day for $300 for the rear brakes and $250 for the brake lines. At no point did I feel as if they were trying to dupe me or take me for extra money. I found this place by getting a groupon deal for oil change and have been happy w all the service ever since. They do a great job!what I like most is that they are honest and straightforward. They won't rip u off by suggesting to fix something that isn't broken. I wanted to have my car ready for a long distance trip and took it to Terry's to have them check it out. John helped me by going over all the details on what they will check and even gave me a printed list. To my surprise, John told me my car (2006 Toyota highlander) was in good shape and didn't need any work. I was waiting for him to come back with a long list but I was very happy w his honesty. Terry's Auto is a great auto shop. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating. I've been stuck in major issues before and they have helped me out on a number of a occasions, treating me well and making me feel at ease and welcome. My car a 15 year old model of a muscle car with some really old and hard to find parts. Terry's has ordered the parts I've needed quickly, and installed them well. They do quick and honest work, and when they are put in a situation where they could charge me a ton, they offer really honest advice to help me save money. Failed to resolve evaporative emissions error codes after multiple visits. After they replaced my fuel filler neck if I let my tank fill until the pump automatically stopped gas would spill everywhere. Three stars because they were friendly, convenient at the time, and gave me a ride to work. Had I not been traveling for work subsequent to the fuel filler neck issue I am confident they would have resolved that issue free of charge - I just didn't have the time to take it back. read more
