I was desperate and willing to take anything, and Leigh Anne was very sweet and patient with me on the phone. We settled on the Carrot L-Orange cake (heavenly). I forget the exact size, but I remember she said it would feed ~6 people which was perfect, and truly it could have fed up to 12+ people as that's how many servings we got out of it. That cake was tall, flavor-packed, and very rich. The complimentary carrot, nutmeg, and orange flavors had a warm spice that had me questioning why it had been over a decade since I last had carrot cake! It is criminally underrated in my peer group, or at least it was until we had this one. You know you've got a great recipe when even the folks who 'don't want any cake/don't like sweets' start eyeing it to make sure there's some left for them to try, and especially when they ask if they can take a to-go slice back home because they know someone who just HAS to try it.
