I came here because of the reviews, and I seriously regret it…read more I went in on 7/5/26 for a Texas state inspection. Before he started, I asked what was needed for the inspection. He told me nothing was needed and to just let him do whatever was required. The inspection was completed before he ever told me the price. Then he tells me it's $60. $60?! I've never paid anywhere close to that for a state inspection. Afterward, I called several other inspection stations, and every one I spoke with told me they charge $18.50 for a Texas state inspection. Had he told me upfront that the inspection would cost $60, I would have gone somewhere else immediately. During the inspection, he also told me I needed new wiper blades and that my license plate light was out. He quoted me $45 for the wiper blades, but after I questioned the total, they suddenly became $40 as a "discount," bringing my total to $100 in cash. He then told me his computer system was down, so I had to pay cash. When I questioned everything, he told me I couldn't leave because the job had already been completed. After reading other reviews, I noticed several people said they were also told their license plate light was out. He responded to those reviews denying those claims, but that is exactly what happened to me, which makes me question whether this is a pattern. I'm beyond angry and feel completely taken advantage of. I'll be reporting this to the appropriate agencies because no customer should be put in this position. If you go here, ask for every price upfront before he touches your vehicle.

I already had it tested last year and it passed so I don't know how these people decided that it was too dark. I suppose it's possible that the last company made a mistake, and it is such a small percentage of difference that it's almost unbelievable that they would fail me for it.
