Took my car in to another shop to have a rough idle looked at. They told me I had a cracked engine mount, which they said they replaced. It was slightly better for a bit, but it came back. Took the car back and they said I had a cracked engine mount. I said, didn't you just replace this? They said that it was the same one that had been replaced, so they replaced it again. Once again, it was slightly better for a bit but it came back. Took it to Sam's Auto Care and they said that when you replace a mount, you need to replace all of them, otherwise it'll just go bad again. They replaced all the mounts and now the problem has completely disappeared. Not only gone, but it was so smooth I thought the car wouldn't start at first. Highly impressed with the knowledge, deep diving the problem, and the outstanding result of their work. These guys are now my go to repair shop. read more

Out of a bunch of shops I asked for a quote through Yelp on some very specific and quotable services, example transmission flush amongst others, Sam's the only one that messaged me back with a quote vs asking me to call. Major points. I don't mind calling to make an appointment or if it's a nebulous car problem like a clanking but not quite clicking sound in the rear passenger area, close to the bumper but not the light, in the neighborhood of the tire but far enough away. Nope nothing like that. Anyway I got reasonable rates on my service and my car came back happy within the time frame described. The Saturday hours are great too. Can't ask for more. read more

While going through the purchase process on a 2021 vehicle from a local dealership I worked with Sam to get a pre-purchase inspection done. I only had a tight window available to be able to get the car from the dealership to have it inspected. Sam was flexible in working with the schedule constraints allowing me to have it inspected. He was very reasonably priced ($125) and performed a thorough check of the car to help us determine it was mechanically sound. In addition to the mechanical inspection, Sam also inspected the body and alignment of the car to help point out a couple of areas where work had been done that was not shown on the Carfax report. I requested quotes for replacing alternator in my Honda Odyssey 2000. The alternator was provided by me. I received three quotes and Sam's Auto Care was lowest by $120. I then checked their ratings and reviews both on Yelp and Google and found them to be reliable with high ratings. So I called them and got a fast response with regards to getting an appointment. Next day I had my vehicle towed to their place and they gave me back my vehicle same day no problem. However when I was driving back all the dashboard lights started blinking and batt light also came on. The one Nguni started stalling however recovered and I was able to drive home safely. I then drive again around the neighborhood and same problem. So I looked under the hood. And I see a shoddy job 1) the alternator cable was almost hanging out 2) the steering fluid reservoir was loose from its holder 3) the engine cover was not locked in place #2and #3 can be considered minor or just shoddy job but #1 is not acceptable. I had to buy a special wrench to tighten the alternator cable as it was hard to reach and I could not drive back to Sams Auto, nor did I want to pay $125 for another tow. Long story short- he had sent out car out, to another town and business, to be painted. Furious! Then we had to take our car to another shop because he didn't complete the mechanical work. Pretty good place! First time in, I needed some AC repairs and new brakes. There's a lot of auto maintenance places in the area and I had yet to find a place I trusted. I didn't have a lot of confidence with the guy who took my keys initially, but I knew he wasn't alone and that Sam was around somewhere so I left and hoped for the best. *UPDATE* BE AWARE He said he fixed my issues and the same issue arose again in less than a month. I contacted the BBB and he ignored them three times. I requested my money back for the so call patch-up job and an unhooking of my car battery. The BBB contacted me and advised me that the owner did not respond. However, this "shop" has a negative feedback on the BBB website. This place is not affiliated with the BBB so you will not receive service from any certified mechanics. Just a bunch of guys guessing and utilizing youtube. I wasn't offered to have the issues corrected just a rude racist owner who took advantage of me. God sees and knows all.
