My name is Terri and I'm visiting from Boston. My boyfriend bought me here and the food was amazing. The service was amazing and we had a great time.

Love what they did with this place. Expanded it so there's way more leg room and comfort. Terry's for the win.

Horrible, I was served expired food, had to go back to get a refund...‍. Terrible experience @ Terry's...

Don't let the name fool you. This place is not your ordinary American coffee shop/dinner. As soon as you walk in the staff is very friendly. They ask you if you would like something to drink. My daughter and I ordered a cafe con leche (coffee with milk). It came in a tall glass just like a cappuccino. It tasted really good. The menu items are listed in English. My daughter and I ordered breakfast combos, hers came with a meat and mine was meatless. Both combos come with eggs, potatoes, a meat, toast, coffee, and juice. The home fries were overly seasoned with sazón (too orangey) and kind of mushy. The fries were undercooked. I also ordered a stuffed potato ball on the side which took forever to get. I had to remind them more than once for it. I didn't get it until much later and I ended up taking it home. When it was time to pay I was charged extra for the 2 cafe con leche (coffee with milk). I asked why was I charged extra if the coffee is included with the breakfast combos, and she said "because I ordered a cafe con leche and the meal comes with cafe". I was a bit puzzled with that statement I asked her what the heck is the difference? The lady said cafe con leche is a cappuccino and cafe is just regular coffee. WTH ‍ I said "Where I come from and being raised in Union City cafe con leche is COFFEE with milk and cappuccino is CAPPUCCINO", but whatever. The "cappuccino" was the only thing that was really good. And the potato ball was ok, but not worth the $3.50. This was my first time at this coffee shop and it will be my last.‍

Triple decker chicken salad sandwich with extra crispy fries.. pretty good!

This small hidden cafe has a good variety of everything. I personally love their triple decker chicken salad sandwich, I usually get it with their fries, extra crispy which is the double battered fries but EACH time we've called recently they don't make the right fries... one day they will and the next they send us regular fries. It's very frustrating, I don't think I will be getting fries anymore for that simple fact, not sure if it's someone different on the phone that they aren't sure what we are referring to... I've also had their broccoli cheddar soup, it was alright.. nothing amazing. They also have iced coffee which I cannot lie was perfect for this summer hot weather. They are located on Bergenline which I can imagine tends to get busy, they deliver which is a big plus and they also take Cc's. I recommend this spot if you're looking for a quick breakfast or lunch !

ordered a bagel with cream cheese and jelly and it was horrible & sad!!! terry's should be ashamed o themselves

Juice and coffee with breakfast special. Spoon added for size comparison

If cleanliness freak likely walk away when see boxes of stuff out in hallway and coats just hanging outside cramped kitchen. I usually try the pancakes or waffles at new breakfast places as shows more skill then eggs. Like many places breakfast special comes with juice and coffee. Coffee was fine and they would happily Refill. Apple juice had slightly more taste than water and came in glass about size of two shots. There were plenty of pancakes but they had off taste. Rather had two well cooked pancakes and more and better apple juice. Price is reasonable and service was decent. The muffins up front looked good. If looking for very filling breakfast for around 5-7 dollars this will do but eat quickly as here for substance

One of the few places around you can get an actually good croissant! I occasionally indulge in the mac & cheese as well. They have an array of fancy-ish sandwiches and entrees. I haven't had a lot of their menu, but they briefly had pizza (maybe they still do?). That I cannot recommend. It was basically a frozen grandma pie with little to no sauces and very thick bread. For a place like this, I was surprised that the liquor prices. are actually better than many of the straight up liquor stores in the area. Interesting craft beer selection that rotates. The beer is actually pricier by comparison than the booze. But it all depends on your taste. I love their beer selection when it's heavy on the IPAs, but when they go heavy on the sours I get a bit sour...

On our way back from New York, we picked up our car and wanted one last quick, authentic food…read moreexperience before heading home. I had been saying for days that I was craving a good Italian deli sandwich, and my partner came across Vito's & Son Italian Deli in Hoboken. Well, it does not get much more authentic than this. What an experience. You know how some Italian restaurants say they make you feel like family? At Vito's, we actually felt it the moment we walked in. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. If you have not been to Vito's & Son Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and go. Authentic, welcoming, delicious, and completely worth the detour.
