I've used this plumbing company a few times for one of my rental properties, most recently in May 2025. On those jobs, I worked directly with Justin, and he was great - knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. I trusted his work enough to refer him to another client. He also provided a one-year guarantee after rodding the sewer line (this is important) for $650. Unfortunately, my experience today (Jan 2026) with the office was very disappointing. I called around 9:00 AM for a backed-up line that was still under warranty. After several follow-ups, I was told maybe someone could come out later in the evening. There was very little urgency, despite this being an active backup that could impact tenants. I had to keep texting just to confirm my messages were received. When I followed up again in the evening, I received multiple back-and-forth calls repeating information already discussed earlier in the day, along with unnecessary explanations that felt dismissive. In the end, no plumber was sent and the warranty was not honored. I ended up paying $500 for another plumber who arrived within 20 minutes and fixed the issue. Justin himself is excellent, but based on this experience, the company's communication and response, especially regarding warranties, was frustrating and unreliable. We asked if they could share a referral with us and we were told no and dismissed promptly. Justin made effort effort to diagnose without cutting; when cutting became necessary, he was very conscientious about where and how much he cut. They were able to come out the same morning I made the call and cleared a wad of tree roots from the line about the width and length of a possum. Yeesh. Recently my husband stepped out of our downstairs shower at 5:45 am into a pool of water. We do not typically have water in our basement, in fact the River Forest flooding that frequently occurs because of the nearby Des Plaines River has never reached our house in the 14 years we have owned our home. My basement began backing up with sewage with even a small amount of rain. The smell was rancid, and after Shopvacing it up twice in ONE week we Yelped for plumbers in the area. We originally had someone from Oak Park come out and tell us it wasn't the pipes, that we had to install a "back water" valve which would run us at least $3000. I called Terry's on Mother's Day night at 9pm, and he answered the phone. He would have come out that night, but I insisted we would live through the weekend. He said he'd come by on Monday. He was prompt and came with help. They rodded out the pipes, and sewer, pulling out a beer bottle, and huge tree roots! I've had these guys out at least 3 times over the years to help when my basement floor drain starts the first sign of high water. They come in and blast through any roots or other hang ups and stick to the price quoted. The best part is how prompt they always are. Terry and companion came within an hour of my call. It wasn't an emergency but they were prompt verifying address before arrival and calling when on my front stairs so I would be prepared. I had a leaky bathtub faucet and shower head and the sink to the tub needed to be drained. They replaced the cartridge and rodded the tub all within two hours even with a water main that was acting up about shutting the water off. Pros and was a fair price. We called Terry's plumbing on a Saturday when a second floor pipe broke and water cascaded into our living room - and of course then we had house guests with no water. Within two hours we had Mark and Ivan - who worked for two hours locating and repairing the pipe, which was behind a wall.
