I was going to buy a Mercedes car S class and my brother-in-law convinced me to try a Tesla with their new technology I was so impressed with the self driving and the sales people at the Brea mall were amazing very helpful gave us a test drive and by the end of my test drive I was convinced to buy the X car. I've had the worst experience. I don't even know where to start with them. We just bought 2 Teslas from dealerships this week and gave them over 150,000 of business and I have to say we have received no service. It's so frustrating. Tried to get in contact with a manager, and they said none was working. I have been a corporate manager to a well known business for years and know that they always have an LOD. As electric cars go, Tesla is the standard. While I was hoping to see the new CyberTruck on display, they're 2 years backed out in demand that they can't just have a spare one lying around for this location. I got the chance to take the Model S and the Model 3 for a test drive, and it's just... they're the future. You basically have 100% torque available from throttle. Nought-to-60 in as fast as 1.9 seconds in a Model S Plaid. Yes, that beats a Lamborghini Aventador Super Veloce Jota, a Ferrari LaFerrari, and even the holy grail Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 (a car whose predecessor, the Mclaren F1 was once owned and driven by Elon Musk himself... and crashed... +__+' ). The kinetic recovery system means you can just let your foot off the acceleration pedal, instead of adding more wear to your brake pads. With the battery mounted on the bottom of the car, you have a low center of gravity which allows for superior handling dynamics than most luxury sports sedans. But don't take my word for it, for even Christian Von Koenigsegg, the builder of HYPER cars chooses to daily drive a Tesla Model S over a BMW M5, even so citing its direct drive technology as inspiration for his current crop of limited builds. Even Monster Tajima, famous globally as the pilot for the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak hill climb race car, has nothing but raves for Tesla's handling and cornering capabilities. As a daily commuter within southern California, any of the cars are simply breath-taking as a usable beater appliance. This is one of the nicer Tesla showrooms that I have seen in the malls. Very non pressure salesmen there and very knowledgeable. I am not in the market for one right now, but my friend is, so we went there together. They even have the new Plaid out on display. It is worth checking out just to see the new models, and you can sit in the cars as well. I believe you can setup an appointment for a test drive, but I am sorry fo not following up on that aspect. We went here to test drive a Model Y. Since Tesla has recently dropped their prices, and with both the federal and state rebates, we thought it might be a good time to try out a Tesla since it's actually cheaper than many SUVs currently out there. Overall, we really liked the car. It's overall smaller than we expected, but since the inside is so minimal, it feels very roomy. Also, all your navigation is done through the tablet, so that was a little different and will take some time to get used to if we decide to buy a Tesla. The test drive is really short. Only to the nearby post office and back. I think it was probably less than a mile, so you won't get to really try out the car too much. I've done test drives in other models, and although they are always short, this was probably the shortest. Our associate was nice. I was told by the Tesla rep over the phone that they aren't paid by commission, but she was still a little pushy for someone who isn't paid by commission. Not bad, but it definitely seemed like she was getting some incentive for selling a car. Otherwise, it was a good experience and I'm glad we test drove one so now we know what they are like. read more

I was the Apple Store across the way and as I was leaving the Apple Store, I noticed the Tesla Dealer - and I have been on the fence with going with an EV for my next car since gas prices are ridiculous!!!! Walked in and they wanted all kinds of info - to spam me. The lady at the front introduced me to a sales person and he asked me a whole bunch of questions. I was only in there to see what they offered - he talked me in to a test drive - alone due to covid. They hand you the key card and set a route for you and you go. The car isn't your normal car. It's fast - and you don't have use the brake pedal. It's weird not to have a cluster of gauges right in front of you. It's a completely different driving experience. I liked it . I wanted one. But the no negotiation made it difficult for me to justify the price I was willing to pay. The overall store experience was ok I suppose. I am talking particularly about the guy Adil. He went ghost on me after I made my order. I would text and call but no answer. He scrually still works there. Tesla should pay commission to their employees , that way they would provide better CS. The most annoying part is I had to physically call in to ask for a delivery date appointment since my estimated delivery date was idle for 2 weeks. Unreal. I am a Tesla owner who purchased a Y with my girl a little while back. Today I was contacted by Tesla about an inquiry on a 3. They told me they didn't have it. I went on their website and they did. So I reserved it as that's what the sales consultant Edgar recommended. I tried to give Edgar a call back a few times to credit the sale boasting earlier about how easy of a close I was for him. Didn't get a response to credit him. Wanted to lock in the vehicle ASAP as he told me these things come and go in inventory and that's the best way to secure the vehicle. My girl called Tesla and started talking to a Rep named David who was very helpful. We got all the way to checkout when their SALES MANAGER Ben jumped in and stopped the entire process as I was at checkout typing in my social for financing. This guys hung up on us. The dude leading their sales team hangs up on a done sale... Anyways, I look back at price and now there's an additional $500/ delivery fee that was not originally there... I call Edgar again... I call their branch again... 3-5 times each. And here I am an hour later later writing an angry, dissatisfied customer review because the staff is too concerned on who's getting the credit for my sale that they are willing to place me on delay and hold right as I'm about to finalize finance and delivery. Are you serious... Being a sales professional myself, I would NEVER treat a client this poorly. Elon is lucky his products are as great as they are because this type of customer service is not something people would ever want to tell their friends or family about outside of maybe to vent about it. First world problems for sure but infuriating nonetheless. We went from stoked to spending 45,000.00 on a new car to now scrolling through OfferUp and google to potentially find a different option just because of the trashy customer experience I'm receiving. On a Sunday afternoon, our family stopped by the Brea Mall for some shopping. My FIL decided to swing by the Tesla showroom to check out the Model 3. Before entering, you are required check in with your contact information at the front booth. Then you're assigned to an available Sales Rep. Our Rep was very helpful and not pushy at all. She explained all the models, options, and financing prior to ordering the vehicle. To initiate the process, you'll pay the order fee and complete the transaction online. We were able to test drive the Model 3 and Model Y. Both models drive the same except the Model Y offers more head and cargo room. The interior is very sleek and minimalistic. Initially, my parents in law were certain they wanted to purchase the Model 3. After several days of consideration, they have swayed towards the Model Y long range. The pitfall is that estimated delivery will be December 2022. They are not in a rush so the long wait is not an issue. I'm not a fan of EV yet but after checking out these cars, my husband and I will consider it in the next few years. There are more pros than cons to owning an EV! read more

Today we came in for the first time and a man named Vince provided the worst customer service I've ever seen at a dealership. I booked to test drive two cars. When arriving, he stated he wasn't sure if we could drive both cars because only one person is allowed to drive per day. No where did it say this when I booked to test drive. My partner stated he wanted to also test drive another car. So the thought process was his license would suffice for the second car. After leading us to the car, Vince told us to be back in ten mins. In the mean time, he said he would talk to his supervisor, to see if we could test drive the second car. After the test drive we waited for him in the parking lot for over 30mins. He never specified that we should come back into the store. He never explained how to lock the door. He never even showed us where the key was to lock the door. When we figured all that out on our own, we went back into the Tesla store and he was seen inside a car talking on his cell phone. He saw us and continued talking. It was only until a supervisor, Nicky walked up to us, did he get out of the car. When talking to the supervisor, she didn't seem to even know we wanted to test drive a second car. So the question is, what the heck was Vince doing for over 30mins? The lack of professionalism and customer service provided by Vince was astounding. Beware when going into this store. Vince had asked us if we were buying a car today. When he realized we weren't ready to buy one today on the spot, my guess is he didn't care about us as customers anymore and therefore his customer service level dropped. Jamie was friendly, helpful and very informative to any questions we had around the car and assisted us with scheduling a test drive. Melvin was our "co-pilot" and had us hop into the Model 3 in the showroom before we went on our drive. This was very helpful and made the actual drive go a lot smoother. There are a couple routes available depending on if there are one or two people test driving the car in your party. Melvin had us drive down to Yorba Linda via freeway (~2 exits) and test out the auto-pilot (amazing). Pulled into a cul-de-sac and that's when we switched drivers, taking the same route back. We haven't purchased the car yet but I was very satisfied with the level of customer service we received. read more

With California moving toward fully electric cars, my wife and I are considering replacing her BMW. We already have an electric Porsche, but because of the lack of availability we are looking at other manufacturers that can meet our needs and requirements. Despite the large number of cars being recalled and accidents being investigated by the NTSB, we needed to see, sit, touch the car as one of the vehicles were considering. Let me premise this, like you I received a large number of marketing and spam calls daily. Unlike other Tesla showrooms, this Brea location wants your name, phone number and other personal information before they allow someone into the store. For me, the lack of appreciation, a personal and friendly greeting and their arrogance was a strong indicator of what I might expect after I buy a car. Moving forward, every manufacturers are coming out with a new electric models and have a $7500 tax rebate Tesla no longer offers in CA. When I asked for entry, I noticed at least a half dozen people sitting on the displays visiting. Had someone greeted us and been willing to show a vehicle, I was truly was in a position to make a purchase. read more

I went to Tesla's shop in Brea Mall to have a Model Y demo drive on this Monday. The saleman told me all the Model Y do qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit and I have a $500 incentive discount as well. Then I placed the order today. At that time, the salesman told me there is no $500 incentive and just the federal credit. OMG. I continued my shopping then. I paid the $250 order fee as well. Unfortunately, I found out that the car which I ordered two hours ago does not qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit. So I called your local office to cancel the deal and request a refund $250 back. They refused to make a refund. I'm very very angry. Basically, it's not my fault. Why I need to be punished by them? It's something like a scam sale. They set me up with a trap. I can't imagine this marketing skill would be happened at Tesla. I never buy Tesla anymore. read more

There is not much staff here, but keep in mind that Tesla is not like other car companies were you go to a Tesla dealership to purchase a car, you order completely online. If you don't feel comfortable doing that on your own, then you are welcome to go to a Tesla location where you can look at the cars in person and someone will assist you with the online process. NOTE: there is no price haggling at Tesla, you pay what is shown on their website, and that's how it is, whether you love or hate that, it is something good to know. I don't recommend. Customer Service - I purchased a Model 3 from Lydia Lin who promised incentives if I took delivery that same day. I never got the incentives. I spoke to Lydia once over the phone after my purchase when she said she would call me back the following week but that never happened either. I've called her but she wont take my calls. Model 3 - I had to take the car in for service as soon as I took delivery because there was something wrong with the wheel alignment and the vehicle would pull slightly to the left. The rear door seal was also defective so had to get it fixed as well. I don't recommend Tesla. Maybe wait a few more years until all the kinks are worked out? If you end up going with Tesla make sure everything in writing. Take a flashlight to inspect the vehicle and if you notice anything wrong don't take delivery. Just tell them to fix it first. You'll save yourself lots of headaches. After your purchase you will be a nobody to Tesla and they wont help with anything. read more

So like many of the negative reviews here, I had one of the WORST experiences ever. To make this clear, it has nothing to do with the car or the company but rather the service I received at this location. So it may be different at another location and I would recommend checking out another location if the service you received here was really bad. To start, I came in here with an objective and actually deciding to put an order in for a Tesla Model 3, since I had already test drove one and drove other cars. I asked specifically for a sales person to get a general quote on financing options and leasing options. The service was great in the beginning. Very helpful and the sales person explained all the special features of the car my wife and I were thinking of getting and even explained the different trims and what he recommended based on our situation. Then came to the end when my wife and I were debating on the financing options and seeing how much down payment we would need to put in order to reach an ideal monthly rate. Once we told the sales guy we would need to discuss this and finalize our decision later, the sales guy motioned for his supervisor to come over and that's where the bad experience began. The supervisor came over and asked us how we were doing, what car did we want and when we would be placing our order. I politely told him we were going to need to think about it and discuss this and make a decision. Then Mr. Supervisor fired back, "okay well what can we do to earn your business?" and again i told him this is a big decision so we need to discuss this personally and come back once we've decided. Normally this is where other sales people we've spoken to get the idea and back off and let us be on our way, but not this guy. He kept coming. Supervisor: "okay so what other cars have you looked at or plan to look at?" Me: "We've looked at this and that and finally we are here for our last stop" Supervisor: "okay so you saved the best for last? great. Those other companies, can they compare to our quality, our tech, we are the top selling electric car company in the world, blah blah blah" and proceeded to brag about how AWESOME Tesla was and how CRAPPY everyone else was. Again, I told him politely "that's great and all but this is a big decision and we need to discuss this, and I understand you are just trying to make the sale but thank you for your help and we'll be going" Then came the BS. Supervisor: "We don't work on commission (they don't but do have quotas, and I confirmed this with people I know who work for Tesla as well) so we are only focused on offering you the best service (which it was not because clearly he REALLY wanted to make a sale, was VERY pushy and did not care about the shitty service he was giving us) and I want to tell you that because of how great Tesla is and in demand we are, the price will go up tomorrow, so the price you see today, it might be up a few thousand dollars by tomorrow or next week, so why don't i put you in order an order right now before it's too late?" Finally I got fed up, told him I know what he is doing and thank you very much but again, we will need to discuss this and decide if we can afford it as this is a big decision and finally he let us go. In the end, that was the WORST experience ever in terms of planning to buy from a company that claims they are not "sales oriented" and are "customer service focused". The car is a great car and built well but if you wish to purchase a Tesla, I recommend doing it online yourself or going to a different location. But from my experience as well as a few others, this location has been very bad, very PUSHY and these "customer service focused" salesman need to go through some retraining on knowing when to back off when a customer has already told you NO more than 3 times. read more

This place is a joke: I tried to buy a certified used Tesla. They won't let you see the car physically until giving them a NON REFUNDABLE deposit. Once you enter into the contract for the car, they bring you the car. If you find the appearance (cosmetic wear or otherwise) is not acceptable to you, you can unwind the contract, but for the privilege of seeing the car, they keep your deposit. Total scam. I put in an order on a model Y over a week ago and have been trying to contact the store as well as the associate who texted me after completing my order. Over the last week I have been calling and texting to try and get ahold of someone without any luck. I have even left voice mails a few times to hopefully get a call back with no luck. The experience in the store was completely different. We felt great about placing our order and I can honestly say that the post service has made us rethink our decision. Staff here are rude. Try not to come by. I purchased a Model 3 online and booked a test drive here the next day to ensure myself in my decision. I booked the drive for 7:30 PM and received a call the next morning saying the store would be "closed" at that time and they need to bump me up to 6 PM. I thought nothing of it and thought even less about the email that arrived saying my drive would be at 5:30 PM. I arrived at the mall at 5:40 PM with my parents and informed the bored-looking employee that I was there for a drive. He retreated to the back and returned a few minutes later saying "well... you're LATE...." to which I informed him that I was told 6 PM in plain English on the phone earlier. They relented and told me I'd need to wait 15 more minutes, which is strange because the keys immediately turned up and I was whisked away to the parking garage by an equally unhelpful Doris. She made tiny attempts at small talk so I'm willing to forgive her since she has a family back home and it was the end of a presumably long day for her, but she didn't hide the fact that she was annoyed to tend to us. We got to the car and I was told I'd only have 5 minutes to drive it. This is strange because on the website itself where I signed up, i read that I would have 30 minutes with the vehicle. I put on a smile and drove the car for 5 minutes, but the entire time, I regretted having this experience at this Tesla store. When I finished, I handed the keys back to Edgar, whose name I remember because his was THE ONLY SMILE that I saw from all the employees at this store that I will never visit again. I can't wait for my Model 3, and I won't let my fecal-smell experience ruin my excitement. I hope that the staff here learn a thing or two about the meaning of customer service. If you have to come here, try and find Edgar.
