Plenty of charging stations. Convenient location but slow 72 kw charge when it's cold outside at 23 degrees...

What an absolute stunning place to visit. To see the…read moretelescope that actually discovered Pluto was amazing All of the history that you have is completely aww inspiring. And to even have a show that's on the roof rooftop with heated seats explaining about the moon an while we were there saw at least five shooting stars as the gentleman was talking. Completely worth every penny! The staff is all wonderful!!

We pre-paid for our tickets (which are non-refundable), and had no choice but to go on the only day we were in Flagstaff... when it rained. The big clue should have been us driving into an absolutely empty parking lot. Most of the cool experiences in Lowell are weather-dependent. We couldn't look through the large telescopes because of the overcast. The observatory show (and many of the outdoor shows) were canceled. All the things that make the high admission price tag worth it just weren't possible. With that said, there aren't many indoor, inclement-weather-friendly activities at the observatory, which made for a fairly boring experience. We walked around for an hour, and then just left. The Lowell Observatory needs to expand in my opinion or offer discounted rates for days when most of its experiences are closed. Positive notes... the drive up to the observatory is very pretty. They have an awesome gift shop. And you can see the telescope that discovered Pluto.

Nope, not particularly a fan of this Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites in Flagstaff, AZ…read more When I arrived at around 7:00 PM, I was welcomed by a very nice lady at the front desk. I wish her counterpart the next morning had been a bit more warm and not so snobbish. It was pouring down rain on November 22, 2025, when I checked in, so the mood was already quite sour. Then the spot where I parked was overflowing with rain water. Unloading with two kids plus a dog was adventurous to say the least. Lol. The room was disappointing. Small. Everywhere I turned almost everything was outdated. Not the cleanest. Torn, dirty top bedding. Cold with the air conditioning running as soon as we walked in. It had a fridge, yet, no microwave. Weird. The in-room hair dryer was super weak. I should have brought my own. Breakfast was across the other parking lot in a huge sloped-roof building. It was quite nice. Oddly, the nicest thing. I like the self-serve yogurt area. The toppings were limited, but I really do love yogurt for breakfast. The indoor pool was also in this vicinity. The major plus was that this hotel was dog-friendly. The pet fee was $25. There was also a pet area with a pet waste bag receptacle provided. My canine refused to relieve herself in the pouring down rain, so at 2:30 AM when she could no long hear it, she woke me up and we walked out this way. It was well-lit at night. My total bill for a double queen, one adult, two kids, and a dog was $185.39. I don't think I'll be back.
