My review a few weeks ago was because we had a great stay here. And back today because we loved it. BUT.... After checking in we saw a sign in the elevator, NO WATER the next day for 5 hours. I wish they could e notified me in advance. The young people at the front desk were unaware of this issue so major communication issue. 2 stars instead of 1 because Bryan the GM was very apologetic and sincere in his apology. We booked a last-minute, double queen room on a Friday night around 10pm and were able to get into our room immediately. They even offered us a king-bed upgrade, but we didn't take it because we needed the two beds. Our room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We ordered breakfast the next morning at their hotel restaurant, and it was the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. Prices were a little expansive ($15-$20 a dish), but it was tasty and convenient. Parking was easy and plentiful. No complaints! read more

We had to stay over here after a disastrous experience with a rental car. I'll review that one later. The hotel is very large. After selling out the main building, our room was in the smaller adjacent building. The benefit is that it was still connected with a skywalk. The room was clean but the ac didn't work. By the time we woke up, we were all uncomfortable because of the room temperature. If we were there multiple nights I would have asked for a new room. Breakfast was basic, which at $15+ a plate was maybe more expensive than it needed to be. I'll look for a different place the next time I'm in the area. read more

I really enjoy this hotel and the location. The hotel itself is nice and located off the I40 making it easy to get to plenty of nearby attractions and outdoor recreation offerings. The hotel has two small buildings connected by a skywalk, clean rooms, free parking, and two (?) restaurants on property---one a cafe and one a Japanese place. Both times I have stayed here I have eaten at the cafe and have enjoyed the food. Great service, massive portions, and yummy food. Their burgers are very good here. There is an inside jacuzzi as well as an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, sauna, and gym. Lobby is nice and open with a fireplace and a bar area to the side as well. Overall, nice property. read more

Great easy place to stay off I40. About 2 miles from historic downtown and Lowell Observatory. The hotel has 2 buildings and plenty of free Parking. Small bar in lobby. Japanese (?) Restaurant on property. No breakfast included but you can buy at the dining area. Pool is outside but closed for winter (December). The rooms were nice and big but beds are hard. read more

I was here for a week and I got a good night rest every night. Love the hot baked chocolate cookies that they provide complimentary. The lobby is nice and lots of parking. Stayed at the DoubleTree during our trip to Flagstaff/Sedona. Our room appeared quiet on the outside but the refrigerator made a humming sound and the HVAC was noisy. The shower head did not function properly as the water pressure was almost nonexistent. When it was mentioned to the front desk, the young lady who was working had no interest in hearing about it nor trying to get maintenance to our room. Went inquired about coffee and the only no charge coffee available is in the room but who knows how old that coffee is and what was shape the coffee maker is in. The room does not have a microwave and for some odd reason there is no phone either. The refrigerator was replaced but the food and drinks that were in there froze. We most likely will not return to Flagstaff but if we do, we will not stay at this Hilton as it was awful. read more

Hilton Just no. It's dated which means it's not the comfort you expect from Hilton Hotels. The staff are just rude. The digital key quit working and front desk lady gave me such an attitude asking for a physical key. She stared at me, it was so uncomfortable that I said "thank you." Idk why I had to thank her...Later, we walked up to the elevator and and an obvious manager told the people inside to go ahead and go up, we didn't know what was going on. Then he turned to us, laughed and said "ha! You missed that one." WTHeck?? The only thing that was good was the excellent breakfast with the best waitress. Try the Huevos Rancheros with their homemade salsa. Looking at the other comments on here, someone responds with a fake "sorry." And a "please contact us." I did not stay at this hotel but visited the Japanese restaurant downstairs and was very impressed with the property. It's a beautiful luxurious hotel, at least based on the lobby floor and the surrounding grounds. Even the bathrooms felt opulent. We had an amazing stay here. All of the employees were amazing everyone was nice and accommodating. The pool and two hot tubs were great for our family. The housekeepers even folded our kids blankets and set out their stuffed animals all cute! Great hotel in the perfect part of town. Easily accessible in and out from both directions. With two restaurants on site it takes the hassle out of going out to find food when you're tired from your drive. Service is phenomenal and the free cookies at check in tasty. They don't offer free breakfast, but do have a full service one which is great. Parking was easy and lot clean. Rooms were immaculate, beds cozy. We were right near the elevators and heard nothing. Complimentary water bottles in the room for Hilton Honors Members. Great facilities on site. Will definitely stay here on our next trip. read more

We stay at this property often during our twice to three-time annual drive half-way across the country. Though handy to everything, the hotel feels like it's out in the woods because of its lovely, park-like surroundings. Rooms are clean with nice furnishings (a little pricier than some of the other Hilton Honors stays); lobby ambience is contemporary yet warm; and the Woodlands restaurant/bar serves good food. Staff is helpful and friendly. Here's an example: recently I received an email close-out folio that showed double billing for in-roon dining during the last stay. I have found the Doubletree brand varies more in quality than brands lower down the rung in the Hilton lineup. This particular Doubletree lives up to the promise of better dinning and amenities than others I have stayed in. Having good restaurants and a full bar is very convenient for weary road warriors. We stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 queen bedroom. Had mini fridge, regular coffee machine, and a safe. No microwave. But there's a microwave down stairs in the lobby that could be access 24/7. There are plates and utensils. The room has a full length mirror and a desk. This location is right off the highway, convenient 30 min drive to Williams, an hour to Sedona or 1.5 hour drive to Grand Canyon. This hotel was busy with meeting rooms and tour groups arriving in buses. Parking is free, has a small pool, and gym. The outdoor jacuzzi was closed off and the indoor jacuzzi jets were not working. The pool could be cleaner and better managed. Pool towels available. Lots of restaurant food options in this area and walking distance. Downstairs Woodlands dinner or breakfast. Or Sakura Japanese food. The breakfast is made to order at Woodlands. I got biscuits and gravy under chef specials for $11 with hash brown. I got my mom Two Farm Fresh Eggs for $11. You can only pick bacon, ham or sausage. I asked for all and they said no but they can split it. So she got 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs and hash brown. The bacon was dry and chewy. The sausage reminded me of the frozen Banquet Brown N Serve. It was small, dry, and chewy. This meal was basically a flop for my mother who has dentures which makes it hard for her to enjoy food if it's not made properly. My biscuit and gravy was average. I've had better. I do not recommend eating here for breakfast. Many choices around the area. Even the coffee was weak. However, when you check in, they ask if you want chocolate walnut cookies! It comes right out of the warm drawer. So good and addicting! Everyday, I would ask if I can get some cookies. Each time, they asked me how many. So the last day, I asked for 4! read more

This is a very nice hotel and a great location. We picked this hotel because of the Tesla charger, but were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! The rooms were very clean. This hotel is in a convenient location close to I40, NAU, and lots of restaurants and shopping. Our 4th floor suite was quite nice. The non-private bedroom worked for us two adults, while our teen son was on the fold-out couch. The fridge was on the mini side of mini, and its small freezer compartment was unusable because it was encrusted with ice; this was the most negative aspect of the room. The shower was straightforward to use. During the night, road noise was minimal. Overall, it was a nice place and we wouldn't mind staying there again. read more

We stayed here for two nights. I had two Queen rooms. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and ac worked well. The woodlands restaurant was great. We ate inside restaurant one night and room service one night. Both times food was good quality. My only complaint would be that you have to ask for maid service for new towels or beds maid or trash taken out. We didn't know that and came back our second having to call and ask for new towels and trash taken out. Other than that everything was great and we'd stay here again. read more

Disgusting. The quality of this hotel is seriously lacking. We checked out minutes after arriving. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. We arrived late (I'd called earlier in the day to alert the front desk that we would check in around 9pm). We did not receive water or cookies as other folks noted. The elevator buttons were grimey and dirty- particularly unacceptable with COVID. The room was musty and warm. The bathroom was disgusting- the shower mat was chewed up and there was something that resembled pink mold around the tub. This is what I would have expected at a Motel 6, not Hilton. [Stachybotrys chartarum, the pink "mold" in your shower isn't actually mold at all. The discoloration comes from a biofilm--that is, a bacterial colony--of Serratia marcescens. The airborne bacterial species thrives in moist environments like showers, where it feeds on mineral deposits in soap scum and fatty deposits in soap and shampoo residue. While it's harmless to most healthy people whose skin may brush up against the pink mold in a narrow shower, it can cause various ailments (e.g. urinary tract or bladder infections) if it enters the body through the eyes or open wounds. The severity and variety of these ailments increases in individuals with compromised immune systems. Better safe than sorry: It's best to remove the biofilm before the bacteria multiply and your exposure to it increases. DoubleTrees deliver a dependable solid product - clean rooms, delicious chocolate chip cookies, and comfortable beds. This particular Flagstaff DoubleTree has a few additional perks, however, that make it special - an in-house restaurant serving plated breakfast (Diamond perk = anything on the menu) and very friendly service. We stayed in the Presidential Suite for a weekend, which was very spacious with a separate sitting room but most importantly with a massive bathtub. When there's snow on the ground, you've gotta have that hotel room with the jacuzzi bathtub. It's nice that the Flagstaff DoubleTree has figured out a way to keep good COVID precautions while still serving hot food. This hasn't been the case with every hotel room over the past year, and it's a nice change of pace for a chain hotel. read more

Dutcher and Henrik were extremely professional and helpful. We had an awful experience in an Airbnb we had booked and were forced book a room last minute. Both were extremely helpful and compassionate about our situation. We had two sleepy kids and our small dog and when we realized the booking by Priceline had not book two queen beds for us, Dutcher looked and looked to accommodate us. Not once did they make us feel we were on our own calling Priceline they took it upon themselves to help us figure things out. Upon checking in I swiped my credit card, after having specified that I would be paying with my debit card when I checked out. After a two day stay and a total bill of $435.83 paid with my debit card, I return home to find over $1300 of various "holds" on my credit card, as well as the existing payment and $50 "incidental charge" in my debit card. A few days pass and I see that one of the "holds" from my credit card, had actually posted, which means I was double charged. $435 on my debit card and $435 on my credit card. I have spent more time talking to the front staff and management than I spent in AZ. Very frustrating. It's absolutely unacceptable to have "holds" on my credit card for three times the amount of my total stay. Do yourself a favor and find a better hotel who appreciates your business. The words, "I apologize", don't really mean a hill of beans in a situation like this. read more

I stayed here with my furry critter on a road trip across the country. I'll be honest by saying I focused on pet-friendly Hilton properties when I booked my stops in each city. I arrived about noon and they did not have any availability for early check-in. Once we did get checked in, the front desk crew was professional and got me in quickly, along with dinner delivery options. The hotel was clean and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfy. In terms of traveling with a dog, there was an additional fee charged each night. There were plenty of grassy areas outside where the pooch could take care of his business. There is a bar in the lobby that was fairly small, but had a good crowd of patrons. I did not check out the restaurant or bar because I did have the dog with me. Check out was a breeze the next morning, and there were plenty of luggage carts available. Front desk clerk offered me an option of a printed receipt or emailed. A nice stop in Flagstaff not too far off I40. Travel note: If you are leaving at the crack of dawn, there is a coffee stop (you know which one) that opens at 5am before you head back out to the highway. read more

We love staying here! Close to where my daughter's apartment and I love the bar tenders and restaurant servers. Food really good here and they have two restaurants in addition to the hotel restaurant. Brandy and Jenny just the greatest severs ever. The bar tenders are so fun and delightful to customers too. I had so much fun battering with them. Rooms are always clean too. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the price we were charged for the room during graduation week. I get it all the rates go up during this week but we paid almost $900 for two nights. Just seems like a bit of price gouging but then it was our choice to stay there. We like the staff so much and now they treat us so I was willing to suck it up and pay the price. One would think with that Price on the hotel room that we would get a free breakfast or something out of that. It was an expensive weekend for us. We hit the bar several times, ate breakfast there twice and I tip very well. I think my bill was about 1300. Again, this was our choice to spend this. When you hire great people you get repeat business. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Stayed here for one night after an abbreviated visit to Grand Canyon National Park, getting ready to fly out of the Flagstaff airport. This DoubleTree is located in a convenient area close to shopping plazas and gas stations (walking distance). The beds are quite comfortable, and the room we stayed in was nicely updated. Very glad to take advantage of the Gold member HHonors status to use our restaurant credit for breakfast. I don't know if I'll ever be in Flagstaff again, but this was a great DoubleTree location and definitely recommend it!
