It's right off of Hwy 1, which is very convenient. There are 4 chargers that are ultra charged. It took only 22 minutes for a full charge. This is a great charging station. The views are exquisite and that includes the architecture and artwork indoors. As documented in previous posts, the bathrooms are under renovation so you have to use porta potties outside the center. You cannot bring any food or drink on the bus or walking tour other than bottled water so be prepared to eat before or after your visit. My daughter was so impressed she would like to return for different tours.

The inn is located on the state beach access road with the other small inns. This location is only two floors and we got the 2nd floor in the middle. The lobby is cute and offers complimentary coffee in the morning and tourist information (where to go and what to see). Our room is nice. It came with two queen beds with a mini bar/kitchen. We have a Keurig machine and complimentary cookies and water bottles. There is no central air but a ceiling fan to cool off the room. There is a faux decorative fireplace to warm up the room and to make it a bit romantic if you are staying with your significant other. Bathroom has a shower and is pretty good in size just like the room. There is a complimentary breakfast each morning and you can order one meal from the selections. Anything extra is an additional $5. Food is good and service is quick. If you are here for a couple days or just spending the night, this is the place to. Be. You are conveniently across the street from the beautiful ocean and there are some cool and popular restaurants a few doors down like the Sea Chest. Plus, it doesn't feel like one of those big chain hotels and feels like a home away from home. Happy staying!

If you are planning a drive along the Central Coast you can then use the 41 to go west to Morro Bay then travel north to places like Cambria and Hearst Castle. Keep in mind that the next SC going up north on 1 is Big Sur. There are 8 V2 stalls with speeds up to 150kW. As other people have mentioned the speeds vary depending on how many people are also charging. Amenities wise there aren't very much - there's a Rabobank with a drive-up ATM on your right, a Denny's on your left and across the street there's SloDoCo Donuts and Que Pasa Mexican Cafe. Not sure if they'll let you use the facilities due to COVID-19 restrictions. I stopped by here twice during my Central Coast drive but now that the SC in Paso Robles is open I'd much rather go there due to convenience and easier access to restrooms and food/coffee. While the Atascadero plus Paso and Pismo Beach SCs fulfills a need so that the SLO SC doesn't get super crowded there's not much to do in the town. Plus I had a rather awful encounter with a non-Tesla driver who gave me a rude gesture because he apparently didn't know that a Tesla is supposed to back into the stall in order to charge.

At night the parking light is very dim and looked eerie to me. If you are here just to charge during the day it's a good place , at night alone I would pass and find a more well lit spot.
