I often take the free shuttle bus over from the DoubleTree hotel when it is too hot or rainy to walk. The parking is plentiful all around the mall area and the signage is very good when looking which area of the mall entrance I need to go into. Inside the mall there is a great variety of quick service dining spots as well as sit down restaurants. The stores are nicely displayed from their large windows and open entrances. The rotating artistic works displayed are interesting and pretty. There is plenty for families to do to entertain the kids while shopping and plenty of sitting places when you get worn out from walking and need a little break. I like seeing stores here that I don't have at my local Westfield Shopping Center.

Unfortunately, due to the holiday schedule being different for Link (same as Sundays), I had to get a Lyft here this morning which was much pricier but guaranteed to get me here on time--but then I had a 2 hour delay. Anyway, SeaTac is not responsible for those travel woes. What they are responsible for is making people feel welcome, directing people to the correct security lanes (TSA precheck only took 5 minutes!), cleanliness, and seating/dining options which were plentiful. They provide a decent number of charging stations at each gate which is helpful. Their bathrooms were decent, and each had staff on hand to keep them relatively clean. As a result of my longer flight delay, I got a chance to check out Club Sea which is an airport lounge by the A gates. Expedia sent me a free entry into the lounge once my delay was longer than an hour, which was nice. It was crowded at the lounge, but I managed to get a seat and a yogurt parfait which was refreshing. Only my third time at this airport but it seems to improve each time!

I love how the airport has grown as the number of…read moreairlines, destinations and facilities have been expanded to match the increasing number of passengers flying into SEA. Public transportation to the airport has also improved with Link, though it is still somewhat difficult to get from Bellevue to the airport quickly. Usually at least 90 minutes. As for the roads to the airport, they have gotten very congested with some cars parking on the shoulder while waiting for the call to pick up their loved ones. It is really a hassle to drive to the airport during the holidays. I have also seen facilities go downhill a bit. The last few flights I have taken, the gate waiting areas have been littered with trash on the ground. Granted I was taking a couple red eye flights so it was the end of the day, Though it leaves a lasting impression about cleanliness and whether the airport has enough resources and manpower. I do also avoid buying anything to eat at the airport now as the prices have gotten out of hand. Compared to a decade ago, I would more often than not get a meal here because pricing was still fairly reasonable. Overall, I like the relative ease of flying out of SEA compared to other large US airports. Though I think they could do better to improve the passenger experience.

I learned about currency around 1st or 2nd grade. So when a Target employee, a young adult, struggled to count the cash I tendered I became deeply concerned about their education and training. She had difficulty adding the denominations, a basic elementary skill, which held up the line. The culmination of their family (parent(s) or guardian(s)), their school curriculum, and their employer failed them. I don't shop at Target as much as I used to. I just happened to be in the area. And just like Safeway, they lock stuff up like personal care items and laundry detergent. I think people will still shop here though because it's close to Sea-Tac Airport. They just won't get the same customer service and freedom to shop like how it was a decade or two ago.

Upon arrival, as you walk in your notice lots of Asian inspired decorations and artwork. The hotel is very clean and secure. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. This location is very close to lots of things, and if you enjoy golf, then the golf course is right there, and some of the rooms have a balcony so you can look out at it and do what golfers do. We had no issue with our stay and were greeted by staff every time. It's something we typically see in the South, and I don't see that often in the US at other hotels. We were truly impressed with this Best Western and decided to try other ones on our next trip. The shower had ample hot water, and the water pressure was so hard it could peel paint off a sidewalk! The mini fridge was cold, and lots of linens. What more can one ask for?

The bed was decent. The fitness room was small. It was a nice stay.
