Wonderful service. This lovely shop on the Paoli shopping center is unassuming but brilliant inside. I came to see if a pearl pendant necklace would be worth repairing and they did a beautiful job at a very reasonable price and called directly to let me know it was ready. The shop has amazing pieces on display, a variety of types and plenty of settings to work to create your own options. It's wonderful having such a great spot nearby to purchase or repair in the future. The strip mall tends to have shops rotate regularly and the parking can be tight but usually can get a spot and this one seems to stand the test of time. read more

I've gone to this Jewelry shop since the 80's, after recommended from a Surgeon from Paoli Hospital-where I worked for 40 years! They have made jewelry for me, repaired broken pieces & their service & pricing has always been awesome. Up until now. My 12 year old grandson accidentally broke the 14 kt gold chain to a crucifix necklace that I let him wear to an AbbeyFest event. So of course, I took this broken chain to Testa's, for repair. I trusted them. I explained the event & asked if it could be repaired, & they said yes. I think I was notified after a week that the chain was repaired & ready for pick-up. On 10/08/2025, I picked up the repaired chain, paid $58.30 & stowed it away until I wore it to church this week. So I went back to Tests's with my receipt & chain. I showed them the loop on the chain with a snag, that I felt, & asked why the snag. I thought it was repaired? The woman working, took out a loop to show me that the work repaired was not at the snagged loop. I could not see it. I am not a jeweler. I asked her, "Why would the JEWELER not notice that loop?" All she could say is that is not where the repair was made! I asked her," why was that not noticed by the jeweler- the professional & repaired too?" I got NO satisfaction! I really wanted to show others in the shop how dissatisfied I was, but instead I felt my frustration would be better exhibited on this forum! I will never go to Testa's again! read more

Band on wife's wedding ring needed repair for her to wear it. Testa quoted me a price of ~$400. Seemed a little steep to me but we had budgeted for this and wanted it done. Staff were friendly and repair was completed promptly within a few days. I went to pick up the ring and paid with my credit card. It took the person helping me a while to come back with my card and the receipt. I signed it and we were on our way. A few days later I noticed that I had two pending charges for right around $400 from Testa. I've seen this before and expected one to go away. A couple of days later both charges posted as balance due. I went to Testa and told them about this. They said no, they'd only charged me once. I showed them the charges on my credit card account. They pulled the receipts and showed me just a single charge. They then asked me to call and verify with my credit card company that the charges I saw posted were indeed actual charges. As I was navigating through Chase's phone menu, the Testa rep declared "Oh, here it is. I see 3 charges but 4 transactions. I guess we did charge you twice. I'm glad we caught that." I said "You mean you're glad I caught that." He said "Yes." Here's what bothers me about this occurrence. I asked how it could happen and he said oh, that happens sometimes when the printout shows not approved but it actually is so we run it again. What? I asked him if they would have caught it if I hadn't been looking at my statement. He said well, I give my accountant my receipts at the end of the month so I'm sure he would have caught it. Um ok... Maybe an extra $400 isn't a lot of money to some people but it is to me. Particularly as we approach the holiday season. That's an extra car payment, a couple of weeks groceries or some nice holiday gifts. I don't think he even really expressed sorrow that it happened, but rather "I'm glad we (meaning me) caught this." This review is for their Philadelphia location, but since it's closed now, I wanted to post it here. My fiancee and I were looking at engagement rings. We went to the mall stores and then down to Sansom Street. My mother, grandmother, and a friend all recommended Testa Jewelers, so we went by. I was absolutely amazed. They didn't have any of the mass produced products - they were all "home made." We learned about how diamonds are rated in quality and had a choice in what we wanted for her. They took their time and taught us everything we needed to know about rings. We found a set we loved, but didn't quite like how they set together. The salesperson had us meet the designer and they made a wax figure of exactly what we wanted in the wedding band. We live on the west coast, so they sent the ring to us (saved on sales tax). They held the wax impression until we needed it for the wedding. We had a budget of about $10,000 for the rings, which could have easily surpassed if we purchased at one of the bigger stores. With Testa, we got exactly what we were looking for and it cost us less than half that. My grandmother used them for her wedding bands. My mother did the same. Now three generations of my family have gone there and all of our experiences have been wonderful. read more

Mike and the team at Testa were phenomenal to work with. 2021 has been a big year for jewelry purchases for me and they made everything simple and extremely easy. I started the year needing a pair of diamond earrings for my girlfriend's 30th birthday but only had a day to get them, he didn't have what I needed on site that day, but Mike took great care of me and sent me to his dad who was able to make the earrings that day and they were beautiful. Shortly after it was time to start ring shopping. My now fiancé wasn't sure what style she wanted so we went to Testa to look at the different styles of rings/cuts of diamonds and learned a lot in the process. Mike was willing to take the time to teach us about the diamonds and tell us where the value truly is. We went to a few other jewelers but ultimately I decided I was most comfortable with the experience that Testa gave us. A few weeks later I went back and ordered the ring, Mike again took the time to show me a few different diamonds and educate me on picking the right diamond. We decided on a round diamond on a yellow gold band with platinum setting and in about 2 weeks the ring was ready.
