Was pleasantly surprised by Tetta's pizzeria! We had a large pie and a cheese calzone which cost $33. I really liked the dough and the flavor of the sauce. It was thinner crust but not too thin. The calzone was well seasoned and garlicky goodness. My only note was the dough was soft and could of used another minute or two to crisp up! My partner picked up and said the owners were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop by again! read more

Not alot of people know about Tetta's Market because of its strategic location. They really do try to be a pillar of the community and offer up more than your average gas station. I mean it's a pizzeria, deli, bakery, beer garden, gas station, and convenience store all rolled up into one. With an old school vibe unchanged over time and the kind of place where everyone knows your name. Their sandwiches are really good with high quality ingredients. I enjoy their pizza although I've heard mixed reviews. I did spy some Formisano bread boxes. The cookies are the size of my face btw. The owner Primo is a real cool guy with a larger than life personality. I'd go here more often if it wasn't so far away from Saugerties but if you live out by Stone Ridge or Shokan it's a must stop. Excellent variety of options including gluten free granola, buns, even cookies! Some basic necessities, some local goods. Great friendly interactions with staff always. Indoor and outdoor seating for pizza and sandwiches. Old fashioned gas pumps are a nice touch- prepay inside first. read more

I am an avid hiker and amateur mountaineer. While on, what I like to call an "explorative backpacking trip" I became extremely disoriented and was thrown wayyy off course. My plan was to hike the entire Appalachian trail, I started in Georgia and I was determined to go as far as I had to, to complete the trail. I met a few friends along the way and I have quite a few stories of crazy encounters with strangers and wildlife that happened to me along the way.. One of the scariest moments I endured on this trip was when I got lost in NY. A few things led up to me getting thrown off course, and an encounter with a certain individual cut my entire trip short. I had gone three whole days without cell service and not even a single meal. This is when the encounter happened. I walked into Teta's, and nobody was in the store. I myself was in an extremely fragile state, my hair hadn't be brushed in weeks, it was filled with leaves, mosquitos and pine sap. My clothes were ripped, I only had one lens in my sunglasses and I had poison ivy all over my body! STARVING is an understatement, I had never been so hungry in my entire life. I began calling out "Hello?" I was curious as to why the door had been unlocked if nobody was in this deli/pizza shop.. I said again "Hello, is anyone in here. I am really hungry!" I was so desperate I started pleading. "Please! Can anyone hear me, I really need help, I need a meal!" Thats when I heard a sound, it was a slight crash of what sounded like silverware rustling around in the kitchen, and a consistant squelching noise... As I walked toward the sound, I saw what had horrified me. On top of the counter was a tall thin man named Primo. Primo had his pant legs rolled up to his knees in the fashion of modified high water pants. Barefoot I saw him squishing and mashing san marzanno tomatoes with his bare feet and toes. There was tomatoes sauce everywhere, and this man was covered in it. He was just minding his own business, seemingly with not a care in the world, singing Italian songs. I screamed at the top of my lungs because I was so startled to see what he was doing. Primo then slipped out of the metal container he was standing in and off of the counter he went with a crash, I was so scared I had no idea what to do. So I ran out of the store. I didnt even look back, I just kept my head down and ran as fast as I could. I made it about a quarter mile down the road before Primo caught up to me. He hit me right over the head with a pizza paddle, and then the lights went dim. I awoke to the smell of fresh pizza wafting into my face. Primo had tied me up in the middle of the store. Obviously concussed, even my dizzy state did not suppress the fear. I did not know if I was going to make it out of this one. When Primo noticed I was awake, he began to show how displeased he was that I had snuck up on him. Primo must have known how hungry I because of how thin I had become, or maybe my stomach was growling. Either way, as punishment Primo began to feed me slice after slice of the delicious pizza he had made. The strange part is how good the pizza tasted and also how many slices I was able to eat (which was 16 slices), but the strangest thing of all was Primo forcefully fed two whole pies to me with his feet. He would grip each individually slice with his toes, fold it in a NYC style grip, and slowly, careful not to burn my lips or mouth, he would blow on to cool down each bite and slowly fed me. To this day I have not met a man that matches how flexible Primo is, he was able to do things with his legs and feet like nobody I have ever met. I bet you Primo could compete in a contortionist foot archery competition! Anyways, once I had my full of pizza Primo untied me. I thanked him for the meal and he told me if I ever told anyone how he made the pizza sauce he was going to come after me. Recently I decided to move to Australia, since Im pretty sure Primo has no means to find me out here, I figured I would share my experience with what happened when I went to this place. Tetta's is a great spot to grab a good made to order breakfast or lunch sandwiches or a pizza. It's kind of an old-school country store with an Italian-American flavor in the Catskills under the shadow of High Point and Mombacus Mountains. They renovated the place a few years back. The staff is very friendly. I've been going here for well over 20 years now and they only get better. Love that they have great Bread Alone products, local yogurt and vegetarian frozen meals. read more

Not just a little country convenience store, Tettas carries fresh produce, pastries and bread and makes a great sandwich. The pizza, calzones & home made soups are delicious and it's a community gathering place in the a.m. for breakfast & socializing. The family carries on the wonderful tradition of Joe & his son Fred. Tetta's Market has crossed many boundaries and are extremely unprofessional and I'm literally so sick of them thinking it's alright to treat people poorly because they're the only gas station in Olivebridge. A few weeks ago, I went in there with my makeup all done up, wearing sweater and jeans for a concert that I was going to, and I was only there to pick up a sandwich. The owners father, a 60 year old man started speaking to me unprovoked, he looked at me and said  "what happened to you" with a semi-disgusted look. I answered with a smile and said "I'm going to a concert". He replied looking me up and down "Looking like that? Good luck." I didn't answer and proceeded to grab my things after they were checked out. as I was walking away he began to chat with the other workers, asking his coworkers if anyone "saw the woman who came in and used the bathroom", he said as I walked out "she must've had a vagina that spreads open and shoots piss everywhere" while gesturing JUST how big he thought his customers vagina was. I wanna know if that customer was aware that right after she left from giving Tettas her money they were talking about her vagina. I SPOKE TO PRIMO, the owner, and after an apology issued from only himself and a gentle productive talk I felt like everything was fine, but I decided I would refrain from going into tettas so it didn't happen again. Today, I ordered a sandwich from tettas. I sent someone who lives with me and is basically my brother, cody, to pick it up. When cody arrived and the owner, Primo, had learned the sandwich was for me, he asked Cody why he would be doing favors for me and if he "was going to get something out of it". It's ridiculous to me that not only can I no longer go into my neighborhood gas station because the owners father wanted to insult my appearance for no reason, but also I can't even have people picking things up for me without being disrespected and talked about for no reason. read more

The Sandwiches are decent, the Pizza is okay, the coffee is mediocre at best. Although, the hired staff is generally nice, The owner "Primo" and his father have a peculiar attitude to their customers, at times being inappropriate, and sometimes bordering on rude. Eg, asking probing questions, as if trying to determine ones political affiliation, snarky comments, etc. Their little shrine to racist products above the cash register says it all... read more

A wonderful market with a pizzeria and a deli in Olivebridge. They're friendly, have delicious pizza, and are a great part of the community.

The workers are very unsanitary as is the store they have a limited selection of beer and drinks (coolers are all broken lights off with hot drinks inside) all of the snacks are out of date and they do not know how to make pizza or subs (that is all they offer not a good selection of choices) ..... I would rather spend money at Marty's and so should you!!! also they are not friendly being that they are the only store in the area you wouldn't think so but it is not a comfortable environment SAD TO SAY SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE!!!!! read more

This place is incredible! Tetta's has all the basic necessities (eggs, milk, beer, toiletries) AND serves up the most delicious pizza in the area. The cherry on top are the the staff and owners. It's a 4th generation family owned business and they are very welcoming. read more

I'm a resident of West Shokan and it's nice to have access to Tetta's. They were closed for renovation most of the three-years I've lived here. This area can be tough on businesses (Marty's on 28A) and they get four stars just for having the courage to open their doors to the community for four generations. Haven't had their pizza yet, oven was down last time I called but will try again. After they reopened I asked if they had a paper menu I could take home, no, but there is one online. The "Hot Mama" sub was no joke the best sub I have ever had! The employees were super nice and welcoming too.

I ordered the Hot Mama for the second time and it did not disappoint. This is currently my favorite deli in all of New York State, and the customer service is outstanding. Everyone there is friendly and serves with a smile. read more
