This is such a cute spot. Yummy food. Fantastic setting. We loved our afternoon snack. Wish it was closer to home to make it a regular spot!

He also forgot my pickle which I asked for on the way out the door and is included with every sandwich. The place is empty and non inspiring. You really need to be on your game for a $15 sandwich in an empty store with no customers. With all that being said this sandwich was excellent but you pay for it. If this is a double I'm scared to see a single ***found 2 banana pepper rings in the last bite

Definitely prepare for the shift of the boards. Walked in and it REEKED of cigarettes. It's always kind of dark in there, so it was just a dingy vibe when you add smoke. That said, I still got a sub - they've definitely slimmed down recently, but damn it was tasty. I also got a pint of the red hot pickles, which aren't that spicy, but still tasty. The owner was nice enough, I wouldn't say friendly, but didn't snarl at me. I do find it funny that none of the subs seem to have pickles on them, considering it's a pickle place! ‍ Here's hoping he fixes the porch, maybe spiffs up the place a little, and stays open for a long time - because the subs really used to be good!

The apple cider donut stand was absolutely amazing. Theyre making them fresh right there! We got a couple fresh apples as well and they were phenomenal. Service was nice and they're busy! We had fun plucking zennias ($.50 each) and wanted to see the sunflowers but did not get a chance to since we saw lightning. Within ten minutes of seeing lightning, a heavy thunderstorm began, which we waited out in the cidery, which is in a large barn. There were three bathrooms and a shared sink. There were also lots of snacks, ciders and spirits available for purchase. You could even buy crackers / cheeses / meats to make your own charcuterie board! It looked like there was a private event while we were there as well as another private event in the evening. I only tried the Kitchen Sink cider which I honestly didn't like at all, but at least the packaging was nice! I also have to give a shout out to the people working at the stand near the parking lot for giving me a free sunflower stem since I didn't get a chance to pick one!

We were in Rhinebeck for a quick weekend getaway. It was a bit dreary weather wise but the town…read moreitself is on the quaint side and very quiet and clean. We made reservations to have dinner here and the food was phenomenal. I do recommend making a reservation because it appears to be quite popular as an eatery. Ambiance was nice, a little on the louder side as it filled up quickly but not loud enough where you can't hear the person or people you're with. We had just eaten a large lunch at a BBQ place so I wasn't particularly hungry. I got the PEI mussels which were fresh and delicious and came with more mussels than I was anticipating for a starter dish. My husband got the pappardelle which he enjoyed thoroughly. I think we were both so full than we declined dessert. I believe they're altered their business a bit and changed it to cater to more private events so unfortunately if you haven't had the chance to try it you may not be able to for the remained of 2024. Hopefully in 2025 they return to being a restaurant where people can enjoy it once more.

The restaurant has a great vibe and everything, down to the playlist, was on point. The proximity to the CIA shines through in this restaurant. The service is a cut above the other local restaurants that we ate at. Many things are made on the premises. A lot of the baked goods, etc.. They even butcher a lot of their own meat! The coffee, bread and butter were excellent. I really enjoyed my chorizo scramble. My wife liked, but didn't love her omelette. The dish was prepared properly. It was more of a matter of her palate not coinciding with the chef's. The french fries were the platonic ideal of frites and the salad was excellent. I'm pretty sure that we will hit the fifth star when we return to this cool place.
