I've been bringing my Nissan here for over 10 years. Prices are always very reasonable and below other competitors quotes. No work will be done without your approval and they take their time to explain to you what is needed etc. Too bad that we live in S Austin, so I only come here when I need major work done. read more

I haven't had a good experience with this place. I originally went to the shop because my AC wasn't working. They told me I had too much coolant and vacuumed it out. Took 5 minutes and felt I was definitely over charged. A few days later I get an engine light saying I have no coolant; I go back and they added coolant for $15. I felt like I shouldn't have been charged since they were the ones that vacuumed too much out. They never programmed the car to take the engine light off. One month later I get an over heating problem with my engine and had to pull over into a shop. Turns out I had a leak that was never diagnosed by this shop and had leaked out all of the coolant. Now I know I'll be facing a hefty bill with this fix when it could of been addressed a long time ago. read more

I had the worst experience of my life today at this place. When I first arrived the mechanic didn't even acknowledge when I was there and allowed the person behind me to pay for his gas. He didn't bother to say, "I'll be right with you." He then asked, "What do you need?" Told him I needed a State inspection and he said, "Park your car in the front." I did as he instructed but he didn't bother telling me to give him the keys. I stood there for a minute and asked him if he wanted my keys. He then said, "just leave them on top of the counter." I stood in the waiting area for another couple of minutes and he was just talking to his coworker not even focusing on the inspection. Before I left I told him how rude he was and have never experienced anything like this before and he said, "You know what man." "If you don't got the patience to be here, then get the **** out." I told him, " I'm leaving and there is no need to curse like that." "You are very rude and I'm never coming back." I know this was a long review but I wanted to share my experience today so that no one goes through what I did. I forgive the man but I will never forget. State inspections are generally annoying, but this is ridiculous. Go anywhere else! I came here because I happened to be in the neighborhood at the nearby AutoZone and was referred by their front manager because he apparently knows the owner of MBC and they provide quick service. I brought my car in on a busy day, knowing there'd be a wait, which doesn't bother me. After the long wait, I was told by who I assume is the owner that my inspection failed because of a "loose headlight." Although I had to pay for it upfront, I was told I could make the repair and come back within 15 days to get it inspected again for free. Okay, no big deal... Right? I went back to AutoZone for help where the manager couldn't believe that "Eli" failed the inspection for a headlight that was a little loose because it "doesn't make any sense". After the really nice manager and I messed with it a bit, he said "it should be good enough to pass". I went back, and "Eli" ( I assume) said he wouldn't even look at it because he still thought it was too loose and he'd have to fail me for good if he inspected it now. OKAY... I appreciate the honesty but this is ridiculous... So I took it to my trusted mechanic, who also didn't understand how it didn't pass, but they made the quick fix for free the next morning (gotta love Yost Automotive!). Fast forward to now. I'm in the "waiting room" at MBC on my day off, along with another woman. I find out that she also is here for her "second inspection" after failing once. A man is checking out, and is told by "Eli" that his inspection failed and he has 15 days to make the repair and get a second free inspection, but he has to pay now. Is this a scam? Maybe a lot of people just take it somewhere else after repairing it and end up paying for two inspections? I don't know, but it's sketchy enough that I'm never coming back here again. read more

I had no idea how much work my car needed until I took it to MBC. I am almost finished paying it off and was thinking to trade it in. Well, it is running better than ever and just like the day that I bought it (it had 3 miles on it when I bought it)! Fantastic, speedy and friendly service. We've been using this neighborhood service center for over a decade and have always been pleased with the work. For a long time, two generations of my family drove cars over ten years old and we would pop in for all of our old car needs. With newer cars, we don't have to visit quite as often, but today I went in for an inspection. Expected to have to wait but was in and out within 10 minutes and it was lovely to see everyone again. We've been doing business with Elie (and Imad) for many years, and they're always dependable, honest, and trustworthy. They'll get your car fixed for the best deal they can give you, and they're really good with older cars. We feel incredibly fortunate to have such good car repair in the neighborhood. We buy our gas there. They don't play games with the prices. What they charge reflects what they had to pay. You can sometimes find gas cheaper somewhere else, but I prefer to do my gas-buying there (not that that's a huge amount with our Hondas) and keep them in business. read more

This place is super shady looking from the outside to start of but I try not to judge a book by its cover. I'm here at 1:30 pm in the afternoon and they tell me the inspection guy just left but should be right back. Ok so I wait 15 min and he shows up but tells me he just bought his breakfast and wants to eat it before it gets cold. Really?! It's the middle of the afternoon and I have no choice at this point since I'm this far committed. The other mechanic is super nice though and I'm pretty sure felt bad. This place is not worth your time or money honestly. The inside isn't any better and gives off a drug front vibe. Super creepy read more

They are willing to answer my questions about car issues that come up and seem very honest. Last Saturday 12/13/14, I went and asked for a man to check to see a problem that was wrong with my car and quote me a price. The price for the parts and the labor was reasonable. On this Saturday, I went and asked another man at the same place to see and quote me a price for the problem wrong with my car and he was honest and true to the first quote priced to me. I followed through and had the repair done. The old parts that were taken off my car was showed to me and the new ones was also. They did a good job and they were true to their work and word. I am pleased with the service this company gave me and would highly recommend it to others. I wasn't even charged for them to check out the problem with my car which other companies always charge for that service. The car was repaired in least time than quoted. read more

im a local collage student, and i always go to the MBC station if my car is in need! they have the best service, and also they give me the best prices in town and also, their prices are absolutely reasonable! their jobs are done by certified mechanics! i take my car there because it is very convenient , they offer gas, safety inspection, oil change, tires, and any other car needs you could think of! i greatly recommend everyone to go there ! and lots of my friends thank me for telling them about MBC ! I went to get a repair done on one of the hoses connected to my radiator and when I arrived I let them know that I already brought my own coolant/anti-freeze in case they needed to put more in. When the service was done the mechanic told me that he put the store's coolant in for free since it was supposedly a better quality than the one I had. When I got into my car I noticed my gallon of coolant was gone and I asked them what happened to it and they told me that they kept it since they used theirs for free but they did not inform me of that before they did it and then they wanted me to pay $10 dollars if I wanted my own coolant back. I don't like it that they took my own coolant out of my car without my permission. That's the equivalent of stealing out of someone's car. In reality it was not free, it was a trade in which they did not notify me of. I should not have to pay them $10 dollars to get my own gallon of coolant back! They should have used my own since I told them I brought my own. They will profit off of it. This really angers me and I will never do business there again! read more
