This was my first trip to Grease Monkey with my work fleet car and everything went very well. I was greeted promptly and promised a 20 minute wait while I could tell they were busy. It took just a little longer than that but still well within reason. The staff was attentive and friendly. The price was on par with the area and I'll definitely bring my personal car here too. Your question might be, if I had to return to the Burnet Road Grease Monkey because of an oil leak after I let the car sit for a day after the oil change, why did I give them a 5 star rating. My wife and I went back to the same location expecting pushback because of the leak and maybe a technician cranking down the filter even more. They are pleasantly different. They apologized, changed the oil filter, refilled with fresh oil, replaced the gasket on the oil plug just in case, and showed me the filter that leaked and where on the filter, supplied by Grease Monkey, it had failed. My wife was especially please when she saw that they checked the air in the tires and pulled the air filters to show you their condition. You to make the choice if you want a filter changed. For the same car, I saw the technician show the owner a car interior filter. It was good and the owner said to leave it in the vehicle. The engine filter was almost black and the owner made the right decision to have it replaced. My wife and I will be going back to the location for all of our oil changes. read more

Wow! What service! I came in for a state inspection on my stick shift 13 year old Ford Ranger. The manager- gosh I feel bad for forgetting her name but you know who you are! It was very fortunate for us to visit here as the nearest auto shop when driving home from work became dangerous. The single bolt holding our undercarriage protector was insufficient and caused it to rip free. We had barely cracked open our complimentary cold sodas when the friendly technicians informed us they had replaced the missing bolt on each side. Was quoted $109 (pre-tax)for an oil change. When I saw the quote, I specifically asked, "Is this the exact amount I will be charged for the oil & filter change? There will be no added costs?" They said yes, that would be the price, plus tax. Of course, they can't stick to their word and charge what they say they'll charge. They charged me $129 (pre-tax). They pointed to fine print saying the $109 was only for the first 5 quarts, and my engine held 5.8 quarts. I won't be returning. I came up to Grease Monkey today to get an oil change on my car. On my way up there, I noticed my tire pressure light came on and saw that one of my tires was flat so after getting an oil change, I already knew my next stop needed to be a tire shop to see what was wrong. Once I got to Grease Monkey, the attendant who approached me asked did I have any concerns with the car and I told her I knew my tire was almost flat and the tire shop was my next stop. She said no problem, they will do the oil change and put some air in the tire before I leave. I went inside the lobby area and about 10 minutes later, the same attendant lady came in and told me they wouldn't be able to do an oil change because it was more wrong than just my tire being flat. I asked her what else was messed up and she said they did not know because they're not a full service shop but they were putting my spare on for me. I told her okay and thank you and she said it would be about 10 minutes until it was done. A little later, the owner Glenn came in with my key and told me to come outside with her. She told me what was wrong with the car/tire but she was talking very quickly so I asked her twice what exact part was broken so I knew what to tell my partner afterwards to get fixed. She then told me her tech guy put my spare tire on, which he didn't have to do, and if she did it she usually charged $49.99 for the "extensive labor". After she said this I told her thank you for doing that because I understood he did not have to do that AND they could have easily charged me for that. After she said that, the tech guy, J.D. came over and pointed out exactly what was wrong so I knew and told me he was going to air up the spare tire to the right specs. Genn handed me my key and walked off and I waited for J.D. to finish airing up the tire so I could tell him thank you and I appreciated him changing the tire when he didn't have to. After J.D. aired up the spare, he walked away without saying anything before I could speak to him, and Genn was walking back towards me so I simply asked her "Is that all? Am I good to go then?" Because no one had said anything and I didn't know if J.D. was done airing the tire or if he needed to come back and do something else. After I said that Genn then rolled her eyes at me and said in a very rude, condescending tone "Well i mean yeah i guess" to which all I said back was okay because I was confused by the attitude from her. Before I could say anything else, she once again in a condescending rude voice said "you know my guy didn't have to do that for you. Like I said i usually charge $49.99 for that so you could've at least told him thank you or just anything to him for doing that for you. He didn't HAVE to do that". I was honestly stunned because I WAS going to tell him thank you when he was done but like I said before he walked off without saying anything and I had already told Genn thank you when she told me that originally before she walked off. I told her that I in fact was waiting to tell him thank you and that she didn't know what my intentions were. I am a 22 year old young female, I do not leave reviews on Yelp for any place, ESPECIALLY bad reviews like a Karen, but the way Genn spoke to me was completely unprovoked, disrespectful and disappointing. At no point did I have any kind of attitude towards any of the people who I spoke to at the shop, yet I was met with such disgust and indignation from the person who claims to be the owner of that shop. Please, do not come to this place if you don't want to be talked down to. I don't know if it was because there was something bigger wrong with my car then just the tire that made Genn so upset with me or if it was the color of my skin that made her speak to me that way (I am black woman and Genn is clearly a white woman), but I promise to you Genn if you're reading this it's way more of an inconvenience to ME that my car is messed up than to you. Genn, just like I told you at the shop today, I hope you never treat or speak to anyone else the way you spoke to me today and even though you won't be, you should be sorry for the way that you acted. read more
