Honestly I really wish I could've gone somewhere else, but I'd already paid a deposit on their work not knowing that Ecoflow just contracted about any old Electrician, I guess.. Anyways, contacted veteran electric as I'm a veteran as well so of course I will give them business before some random company. I was highly impressed by the work they did I watched them work very quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will be recommending them to my friends, family, and my customers as well. I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.

But our last service was a disappointing and shocking experience with him and has prompted this review. We are a couple in our 70's, retired and my husband is eyesight challenged. When I called Justin, I told him I believed our GFCI had gone bad in our bathroom but since I am not an electrician I could not be certain. We scheduled an appointment for a few days out, but he called us that same day saying he was on his way to another job and would be driving in our direction. and could come by. We agreed. My guess was correct and it was a bad GFCI outlet. Justin changed it out in the 20 minutes he was here and gave us our bill. Shock is the best way to describe the bill. It was $417.50! We paid him the $417.50 in cash but were very upset by his price. So my husband called him about it that same day. Mr. Macri agreed to refund us the $275 service charge he had tacked on the bill. When he came to our home to give us the refund the next day, he said he didn't have it all and would go to the bank and return with the balance. He never showed up. My husband called him twice more but Macri never responded. In the future I will be finding a new electrician, hopefully with more integrity and honesty than Justin Macri. So disappointing. Update: Justin brought the additional refund to our home today.

However, after checking our AC system and completing preventing maintenance for a really fair fee, Jason concluded that our AC system is in very good condition and it was more Thermostat wrong messaging than the AC system itself. My wife and I were extremely appreciated and happy Jason's professionalism as AC Technician and most of all for his/their honestly. I really appreciate James for showing up the same day that I reached out for help on Yelp. He responded within minutes and came by my house after his doctor appointment. I already knew what was the issue with the AC as the previous AC company who works only for home warranty companies, came out 3 times and only did a band-aid job that lasted only 2 weeks. I knew it was out of freon because the AC was leaking freon. James was able to schedule for an early morning appointment to repair the leak the following day. He put in more freon in the meantime so my house will have air conditioning until they can repair it. The next morning, Chris and his crew showed up as promised, first thing in the morning and fixed the leak. I will definitely use Richmond's Air again in the future, but for now, hopefully this leak repair will last me for a few years before having to call for service again. Hopefully my next call to Richmond's Air will be a yearly maintenance type of deal and not to fix a leak! I definitely recommend this company. As a PSA, please, please, please STAY AWAY from home warranty service companies! If you must purchase one, stay away from Fidelity National. I won't mention the name of the HVAC company Fidelity National sent to fix my AC and then denied my claim and I had to pay over $1300 out of pocket for a band-aid fix that lasted only 2 weeks!

I had a problem with my dehumidifier not shutting down when water would back up from the condensation drain line. The tech from Texan mechanical initially appeared to be stumped but dug into it and found out that the unit was set to run continuously by the installer. A simple adjustment solved the problem. read more
