I placed my order online at 6:30pm and it said it'll be ready in 15-30 minutes. I get to the store at 7:00pm to find the line out the door and down the shopping center. I waited on the line (with many other people who placed their orders online) for 65 (yes, 65) minutes. I finally get to the register and he tells me they haven't started my order yet and it'll be another 30 minutes. Are they insane?! Terrible customer service. They need to communicate with their patrons rough wait times on carry out food. I can't stand outside their establishment for over an hour and still not have my food. This place is great. I have had just about all the tacos and the shrimp taco is my favorite. The empanadas are also very good. They have a wide variety of salsa so make sure to try them all. I have been here a few times. It has a few tables inside, but I live locally, so I always take out. It's best to call ahead because it can get busy. I normally grab a chicken burrito, which is very good. It's tightly wrapped and filled with goodness. Juicy chicken with beans and rice. The quesadillas are pretty good too. Recently, I had the guac and chips, which were pretty good too. They also have the glass bottles of coca cola made with real sugar. It's a nice little treat if you like cola and have never had them. The people there are really friendly too. Overall, it's a good Mexican takeout place. Think like a Chipotle style menu, which is perfect. The food is better quality and made better from my experience. I would definitely recommend them. read more

The food is good with only two complaints - the cheese (including the melted cheese) is just bland and why so much sour cream? Texas has so much amazing queso why do bland cheese? Then the shredded cheese put on the food has no flavor either. My daughter got the cheese quesadilla and there you can really tell. Just get better cheese. And the sour cream, even when you ask for none, is all over the food in huge dallops. Other than that the meat tastes good, the prices are pretty good, and the pico is good (even if it does not have any spice to it). If they would fix those couple of things it would be perfect. Always fresh ingredients. Always quick delivery and large portions. My favorite is the Hicksville tacos(steak and shrimp with a sauce that's out of this world...trio is $11.50) amazing. My husband always gets their quesadillas ($5-$10) and loves them. They're guac is awesome and so is there cheese sauce. They're taco salads are also sooo good, loaded with bomb ingredients. I really wanted to like Texas Taco. I thought it would be something different to order online for a later delivery, but the delivery was 46 minutes late. I ordered brisket fajitas, chicken burrito, chicken tacos, beef tacos, beans rice and cheese cup, and churros. I set a delivery time of 5pm and in the note said it needed to be delivered before 5:20. I called the first time at 5:18 and heard that the delivery person left 10 minutes ago, "but my order was to be delivered at 5" I said, "Oh maybe he left earlier", "well if he did, he should've been here already". I live about 10 minutes away. So I waited longer and called at 5:28. This time he said he'd call the driver and call me back. He should have done that the first time. At 5:34 he called back to say that the driver was stopped by the police and was now on his way. Great job. No discount, no apology, nobody cared. We received our food at 5:46. Of course it was cold, and my fajitas had no tortillas to wrap the food in, my daughter did not get beans in her taco like I requested and the shells were not crunchy, and the churros were raw in the middle. We tried to cook them more in the toaster oven, but they would not cook more, so they were thrown out. The fajita container was a good portion size, and the meat was good, however they did not give me the tortillas to wrap the food in, good thing I had my own. The burrito seemed filled, but couldn't be eaten by the person who ordered it because it was so late, which later after it was consumed, my husband said it was dry and he wouldn't get it again due to it tasting like raw onions. The beans rice and cheese in the cup were good according to my daughter. So although 1 or 2 items were good, we won't be coming back for seconds. read more

Decided to try out Texas Taco since I received a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon and honestly, it fell flat of expectations. It started with a ridiculous long wait for my food, which wasn't even hot after my not even 10 min drive home. I open my bag to find out that the free burrito, the reason I went in the first place, wasn't even in my bag. Neither was the side of sour cream I asked for, which I'm not sure if I got charged for since I wasn't offered nor given a receipt. I did get charged extra for a taco bowl (I asked before ordering) which was stale tasting and so soggy on the bottom that it collapsed when I tried to lift it. I had Super Taco (competitor half mile down the road)'s taco bowl in mind when I ordered, and maybe that added to my disappointment, because THEIR taco bowl is flakey, flavorful, and great even as a leftover. Meanwhile Texas Taco's was boring, barely editable, and felt like it had been left out for a week before ending up in front of me. The rest of the food I ordered was edible, not too flavorful but okay overall. Still upset about my missing burrito and sour cream, but at least I know not to come back to this place. read more

GREAT!!!! The food here is ALWAYS delicious. Juicy and hot loads of flavor. Tastes authentic. There's a heavy set guy always working behind the counter and he is the star of the show !!!!! Absolutely what I expect as far as customer service. Welcomes you as soon as you open the door, apologizes for any inconveniences(Which barley exist), and goes out of his way to make sure you have all the sauce, limes, and extras you need. I have been here several times. Place is rather small but has about 8 tables to dine in. I have had the taco salad, fajita bowl, churros and various kinds of tacos - all excellent. Love coming here when I am in the mood for some Mexican that is close by and convenient. Service is nice and relatively quick when they aren't busy(especially Friday's). I had to take two stars away for the following reasons: - I highly suggest you do NOT purchase a fountain drink. Their fountain drinks need to have their syrups changed, you think you are getting Coca-Cola but it is so watered down. I will add that you are not getting real Coca-Cola, Hi-c, Fanta etc. as displayed on the fountain machine, you can tell this is false advertising and it is not the true soda syrups. -there is garbage overflowing. - almost always when I go in there is garbage on the floor, garbage can is overflowing which makes me believe they only change their garbage once a day (what else are they not doing back there) read more

The food here is always great, as is the service. I've ordered from Texas Taco by myself and with coworkers/groups of 10+ people. The staff is helpful, they always give us extra hot sauce and all that.. Whether we pick up the order or have it delivered it's always ready within 40 minutes, and for ten people that's not bad at all. They always make sure our orders are correct, specifically the younger boy who works at the counter. The only downside to this place is that sometimes when you order the soft tacos the tortillas have a "wet" feeling.. Assuming this is from any excess water/juice from the meat or chicken. Best item on the menu is either the chipotle chicken soup or the shrimp tacos. Would definitely recommend. read more
