The macaroni and cheese might be the best thing on the menu, with the beans right there behind it--but trying to rank anything feels pointless when everything hits at such a high level. They let us know they're open Friday-Sunday with running specials each day. And they're open March to November. They also do Smoked turkeys & other meats for Thanksgiving. The smoked meat was great & the warmed bottle of bbq sauce on the side was a nice touch. Our personal favorite sides were Mac & cheese & the potato salad. The baked beans are good with a unique flavor (I want to say all spice) The other sides were just average but not bad. Overall we loved this place & will definitely be back. ABSOLUTELY delicious! Definitely one of those "off the beaten path" gems you should not pass up. Only open on the weekends and all the food has that homemade feel. The Texas BBQ lady came out to be sure everything was to our liking. It is that kind of care that I really appreciate. We got spare ribs (very meaty), potato salad, mac & cheese, and corn pudding (first time trying "LOVED IT"). I really liked that m&c too. Bottle or can drinks. We celebrated my husband's birthday with our family today (8 adults, 2 kids) here and it was AMAZING!! They were so kind and helped us arrange a few tables. The menu is extensive and very reasonable for large portions. The food came out about 15 minutes after we all ordered and every order was correct. I had the pulled pork meal with potato salad and Mac & cheese. The pork was so moist, tender and smokey. The mac and cheese was delicious- so cheesy. The potato was mustard style and was very good. I always look forward to supporting local Black businesses whenever I can, and TX BBQ Lady is no exception. She reopened today (Saturdays only during the winter, weather permitting) and my dad was craving smoked sausage so off we went! I was a bit disappointed they did not have any beef ribs or corn pudding today (my faves) but I will be back next week to order some! The meats are always smoked to perfection and keep us coming back. Another star on the menu is the locally baked desserts! Pops loves the pound cake and I always get ghe caramel cake, it's perfection! I advise to get there early when they open because they do sell out of some things pretty quickly. I recently posted that Carr's Market was the best bbq in town. This week's journey might make me change that. Texas BBQ Lady is legit. It felt like walking in to a backwoods Texas BBQ joint and the food did not disappoint. I ordered a Texas hot link, but got a hot dog by mistake. Not a big deal, except I don't like hot dogs, EVER. This was no ordinary hot dog. I ate every bite and would definitely order it again. The Mac and Cheese was the best restaurant Mac and cheese I've ever had. Very good stuff. I'm from Texas and can say their bbq is good. My only minor criticism is please don't put the sauce on the meat in advance. Or at least ask the customer how they want it. Some Texas bbq places don't provide sauce at all. Also, if you don't already it would be nice to offer up pickles and sliced onion. read more

I visited Texas BBQ Lady based on a friend's recommendation. I'm glad I tried it! I purchased a pound of brisket but it seemed more like 2 pounds. The brisket was VERY moist and tender (fall apart) with a fantastic smoke flavor balanced just right with the taste of the brisket.
