Horrible customer service! The manager on duty Thursday night really didn't care if we were happy or not. First she refused to come to our table when we had a issue with the food, then when she finally did, she argued with me over my meal that was RAW when I asked for well done!! Charged $29 for a meal I didn't even eat! Didn't offer me anything else, just to put the raw meat that I cut up, to see if anything was edible, back on the grill. And to think, I drove over 2 hrs to try this place on the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law. Even the waitresses thought the meal should have been discounted. We recently had an event in the banquet room. The food was great as well as the servers helping us. The management on the other hand is flawed. We spoke with multiple people prior to the event to make sure that it was perfect. We ended up changing our order due to the lower rsvps. We expected that to be noted and even received a call the next day. Apparently no one ever wrote down the order change. On top of that we had small requests that were not done. The manager Andrew was so unhelpful and unprofessional. He definitely wasn't trained well enough to be a manager. We've done tons of events here in the past with no problems. Expected decor; TVs had different shows(?) Despite uncrowded, long wait to order after seating. Waitress very personable but order took forever to arrive. Free popcorn not offered - had to ask (two flavors!). Medium-well (after waitress warned of under-cooking) steak arrived as shoe leather. Re-order steak was rare sent it back again. Third time a charm. Pulled pork sandwich - sauce ordered on the side came on the sandwich, Barbeque tri-tip overly smokey muted some by delicious sauce. Great beans! They stopped serving popcorn. That sucks. Asked for no cheese on burger and it showed up with cheese. Didn't want to complain so we left that alone but then we were given a receipt with $59 on it. I handed my card and she returned with a new receipt and charged my card $70. Waitress did not say one word but the prior receipt had disappeared. When we asked what happened she said prior waitress gave us the wrong receipt without drinks included. Common courtesy - she should have said something before handing a receipt with a different amount. This was the worst experience. read more

Large helpings and reasonable prices. This is a family style restaurant so don't go expecting an elegant date night. There are games and funny plaques on the walls. The free popcorn is a nice touch but be warned its cheddar corn and kettle corn. Our drinks never sat empty. Multiple waiters were willing to check on us if it appeared a drink was low. This was a nice touch as it was a busy night. If you go for the ribs know that a full slab is a lot of food. About nine inches in length. read more

Cattle Co. is my favorite place to eat! I have been a #1 customer for 21 years! I have brought my kids, my nieces, company, and anyone else I can get to go with me. The atmosphere is fun, the waitress' are wonderful, and the food is good and simple. I don't live locally so I drive 50 miles every week to enjoy my very favorite lunch....nachos and cheese and chicken strips! Why? Because Cattle Co. has always had the tastiest nacho cheese anywhere! Until this last couple of weeks! They have changed distributors and now serving a very "Cheese Wiz" tasting cheese that you can find anywhere.(and I'm not convinced that the chicken strips were the same either). I know times are tough and we all want to save money where we can, but when you have a successful restaurant why would you want to mess with it? I won't be making any more 50 mile trips specifically to drop in on Cattle Co. I can get "Cheese Wiz" anywhere! Toni E. read more

Went here for lunch last weekend, and had horrible service from our waitress. She was even bragging about how she's worked there for many years (and so we were expecting the best service and were bitterly disappointed). After ordering drinks, it took over 15 minutes for her to come back (and only a few tables in the whole restaurant). She acted annoyed while taking our food order, and after 40 minutes our food finally arrived. When we tried to ask for drink refills, extra napkins, and such, she had the biggest attitude. Besides the food not being as good as we were hoping based on the pricing, it was the service that really has us never coming back. read more

We "reserved" the banquet room three weeks prior to our company Christmas Party and left a deposit of $50.00 for the event. Upon a 30 minute early arrival of our Company's owner before employees started arriving we were informed that we did not have a reservation nor did they have the staff coverage to handle us. WOW! What do we do now? Do we cancel our Christmas Party? How do we inform everyone 20+employees who had planned their day accordingly within the next few minutes? The staff ended up last minute putting together a banquet table for us. However, it took over an hour to even get water to be served even after asking several times (only because they were short staffed, I am sure). Then after taking our orders (bless the staff and waiters, they did their best) our meals arrived after about an hour or more, with the exception of one of our employees whose meal order never even got placed. It took another 18 minutes or so to get the attention of the waiter to ask where his meal was. The rest of us were just about done before he was even served. As anyone knows it is a very unpleasant feeling to be sitting waiting for food while every one around you is eating. The mixed drinks were awful (had to return) , the food unfortunately was mediocre at best. When we got the bill we asked for the $50.00 reservation fee to be applied to the bill (since they had no record of our reservation) and we were "refused". There was not a single "manager" on-site so phone calls had to be made and again we were refused to have the $50.00 credited to our bill. Our Company has held our Christmas Party here for the past 4 yours spending in excess of $1,000.00 each time. A foot note here: It was the Manager who took our reservation and did not enter it in to the system. I feel bad for the staff who was there as they did the best they could under the circumstances. Years ago, I had gone to this restaurant several times and found the food and service great. So for my daughter's birthday dinner last night, 10/29/17, we chose the Texas Cattle Company and we arrived around 6:00 PM. There weren't a lot of patrons in the room in which we were seated or in the restaurant itself for that matter; only one other family in our room who were being waited on by a waitress. We had a separate waiter. While he was pleasant enough, after serving our food, he didn't come back to check on us to see if we needed anything else. In fact, we had to ask the waitress at the other table to find him for us. The second issue was that I ordered a turkey sandwich with avocado. The avocado was rubbery and hard and inedible. What chef serves something like that? When the waiter finally came back to the table and I told him about the avocado, he asked me if I wanted another sandwich. I told him no and asked him just to find me some edible avocado. He came back and told me there was no other avocado available. Really? At 6:00 PM? If you have no edible avocado, take it off the menu, don't serve it. The third issue was that my daughter ordered a $13 medium well burger that came medium rare. The fourth issue was that my granddaughter ordered a $21 steak medium rare and it came back medium well. While the waiter took off the price of the burger and offered to make my granddaughter a new steak, by this time, we were all over the terrible experience, especially my daughter. The whole experience was a bust. A lot of the food was cooked wrong, inedible avocado, an inattentive waiter - not a good dining experience at all. Unless and until this restaurant goes back to being the good dining experience I once had there, my family won't be paying them any more visits. In fact, in the same parking lot is a restaurant called Miso Sushi - wonderful food and service! We should have gone there!! read more

Had been many years since I've visited a Texas Cattle Co. establishment and the times I went were enjoyable. Was great by the hostess who was very sweet and walked me to my table and to whom I also had to clarify wasn't my server. After a few mins looking at the menu my server Tori J approached to ask for my order. Out of the starting gate she wasn't very friendly. The hostess again came by my table and asked if I needed my beverage refreshed to which I said yes please. The server returned moments later with my food again nothing friendly about her service. Placed the plate in front of me and literal tossed some napkins down in front of me. While I was waiting I could her server Tori behind me talking to another restaurant patron who I figured was a regular in the way they were talking. To left of me were to ladies and 2 children also at one of her tables who I noticed got more of her attention then I did. She refreshed their beverages even provided them with place mat to which she did not provide to me. Was again unfriendly when it came time for me to pay. Left a 0 tip, but had to ask the hostess as I was leaving if she was my server, to which she asked was there something wrong and I said yes and explained the events that had taken place. She replied I'm am very sorry many times. I told her you were great and served me better than the person who's job it was. I work in the service industry, not food, and I would never conduct my self as poorly as this Tori J server did. read more

TCC catered my company's annual Christmas party. In previous years, we had done a party, potluck style. This year, I didn't want my families to have a care in the world. I wanted to make sure they relaxed during a typically stressful time. TCC DID NOT DISAPPOINT. They had phenomenal service, from the time we originally talked about using them for our party to the moment we left. They were the epitome of great service! If you're looking to host a party, baby shower, etc, you ought to seriously consider TCC. There were many benefits to using them, but one was that I got to choose how much gratuity I left, not the typically 15-18% gratuity that's automatically added at other restaurants. The manager even brought in some added bonuses for us, such as having Santa arrive (again, a Christmas party). If you want a fantastic crew to serve you phenomenal food, with hassle-free payment terms, and an above-and-beyond experience, then you have to choose Texas Cattle Co! read more

It was after my third time dining out at Texas Cattle Company here in Lancaster that I felt compelled to give it the praise it is due and write a review. I was aware that the restaurant had new owners and that a few changes were on the way. The good news is that everything that was a favorite on the menu remained and that some of the good, got even better. By better I am referring to both the quality of the meat and the service. The new owners actually came by the table to say hello and the friendly servers we remembered from before were still there to assist us. I took a date there and they treated me like a king. Both of us were pleased. By now we have had the tri-tip, the chicken, the prime rip (yum), and more than a couple of the many great burgers offered. The last time my family was searching for a place to dine they chose this restaurant and there was a special area for large parties like ours. It's now our regular gathering place.Will we be back?
