I requested a service for standard cleaning with fridge and garage cleaning. The regular cleaning was ok, but they didn't touch the fridge or the garage. Now, I have to go back to this empty house, with cleaning supplies to finish the job myself. - Edit: Which I ended up doing, because I was selling the house. Now, I raised a claim and one of the owners of Texas Cleaning Services contacted me and refunded $50 for the inconvenience, also they did not charge for the services not performed, which was nice. I don't expect much from cleaning services, and usually I'm not disappointed by lackluster cleaning. But the fact they missed dust bunny levels of dust on a fan was amazing, in a bad way. Perhaps they're better in regular cleanings, I've just used their deep clean and move-out services. I would not recommend them. Edit: Raised the rating a star since I did get contacted and offered a 50% refund, so the company is trying. I have had the company come to my house and clean several times without any problems. This week they showed up and the cleaner drove into my garage door. The company refuses to pay for the repairs that are over $1300. It was their employee who did the damage while on the job and they should be responsible. Do not use this company. This company is dishonest. They charged me $100 more than I was quoted and did not provide any receipt or explanation. The only communication I received from them after the service was a request for a review. I had to go to my credit card bill to find the charge and was horrified to learn that I had been charged so excessively, especially because the quote I received was for a home that was actually larger than mine. They also claim to have applied a 20% off discount, but I have no way of verifying this. Also, the cleaning job was incomplete. They didn't make my bed "because it already looked made." Even thought they are supposed tot change the sheets as part of the service. They didn't wipe down the vanity in the master bathroom, and they didn't wipe down the window sills. I very much regret choosing this service. Such a disappointment. I hope to get a refund for the overcharges, but I don't have high hopes given how awful this experience has been so far. Texas Cleaning Services didn't do the cleaning I asked of them, a manager named Adam pretended to give me a refund (but didn't) when I sent them photos of the incomplete work, and then had the audacity to fight me when I contested the charge with my credit card even though I had e-mail evidence that they had promised me a refund. They even went so far as telling my credit card company that they performed the service and that the customer (me) was very satisfied. I was floored by this. Arrived an hour and a half late, which would have been understandable if she still stayed to clean for the two hours I've paid for - but she left after 45 minutes. I made the mistake of running an errand while she was here, so I didn't get to see what she did and didn't do. I came back just as she was leaving. It looks like she did not clean the floors (photo is what I swept up after she left). I also noted when I scheduled this that I wanted an emphasis on the bathroom, particularly because a rusty bolt in my toilet is leaving stains I can't seem to wipe off with my basic cleaning supplies, yet the toilet was left completely untouched in the cleaning process. Basically I paid 170 dollars for 45 minutes of cleaning that I could have done myself. Save your money! read more

Took service of Texas Cleaning Service for a move out clean with carpet wash. The clean was average, have had better service in past with like much less the price. They did a good job in cleaning appliances, okish with floors and below average in cleaning the bathrooms. I took garage cleaning as well and it just got a wipe out that's it, hoped they will atleast wet mop it. The carpet cleaners came in way late, I was told 12, then 2, then 4 and they came after 5. I wasn't der came back to check their work and still found some uncleaned spots, they even emptied the their machines in my front yard and I could see a fur ball of the cleaned carpet there. For the money I'll say this is a way overpriced service. But they do a decent job nothing to rave about though. read more

We contacted this company cause we moved into our new place from out of town. The initial phone call and setting up an appointment was easy. We were a little skeptical about paying over 300 for a deep clean the day before they even came out. Allison showed up and was super friendly and got to work on the 1200 sq ft home. She did it all herself and still had time to be customer oriented with us. Making conversation and making sure she was doing a good job. She came in fid a walk through saw what we needed went over her process and got to work. After did another walk through made sure my wife and I were happy left us a tradh bag... as she noticed we didn't have any. I highly recommend Allison for your clean she is amazing. I am unhappy with the services provided by Texas Cleaning Services. I am helping my father get his home ready to sell and had an appt at 10am today. While I was running late to the property and had the number of bathrooms wrong (I don't live in this home) they communicated to me the extra charges and everything was going great in the beginning. All text communication was consistent. I was told they would send me photos of the job after it was complete as I was not on the property anymore and this is when the problems started. They did not send photos of the finished job like they said they would in text. When my father let me know they did not do everything they said, I was told by someone on the phone (after calling multiple times) to send photos to show how bad it was with a follow up text message. As soon as I sent them they have gone radio silent except for one very nice lady who answered my call on the 7th ring and told me she'd get with her general manager this evening. While they weren't answering my calls my dad called to let me know they had JUST processed the extra charges previously discussed, even though none of cleaning was done! You would think an ethical company would pause everything before resolving the issue. The cleaning checklist for a move out clean is supposed to include dusting/wipe downs of all the things like vents, light fixtures and baseboards. I also added to our special notes the walls needed cleaning. I have added a few photos for all the things promised, but were missed. read more

I used Texas Cleaning Services one time. We booked them for a "post renovation cleaning" since we just demoed and put in new floors in our house. We have a 4 bedroom, 2360 sq ft home. They told me their "team" would be bringing "special equipment" to do a deep cleaning. They arrived 2.5 hours later than scheduled, they sent only one person who didn't have proper equipment, she was only there for 2 hours, they charged me $475!! She missed whole rooms, did not have equipment to wipe the ceiling fans and light fixtures, couldn't reach top of windows so every window had an obvious line for where she stopped. The only thing she really did was clean the floors. I politely requested a partial refund and shared these photos. They have now been unresponsive to my follow ups, and I've only maintained polite correspondence. Would not recommend. read more

There are add on options as well. I set up a time and an employee arrived prompt and the company sends you a text letting you know approximately their time of arrival. I have called 3 times now asking to speak to a manager and every time I'm told he's in a meeting or just stepped out. This is starting to sound like an excuse. The service provided was terrible for a number of reasons that I have listed below. I am very very disappointed in not only the cleaning service but the customer service as well. 1. The cleaning lady showed up without the proper cleaning supplies. I had to leave 2 times to go get supplies- paper towels (she had 0), clorox wipes, oven degreaser/cleaner (she explained she had nothing to clean the oven with, I also had to supply the sponge) and pine sol as her bottle was almost empty. I would think that when paying for a cleaning service, that the tech should show up with the proper equipment/supplies to get the job done. 2. Her vacuum cleaner did not work properly and when I asked her about the carpet being vacuumed she explained that her vacuum doesn't do a good job. The entire upstairs including the stairs is all cut-pile carpet and I had to go back over it with her vacuum myself a second time b/c it did not look clean. Even after the 2nd time of having to do it myself, there were still crumbs and little pieces of things everywhere. She also said she could not vacuum the stairs but that she would sweep it. Sweeping cut pile carpet does nothing, it still looks dirty. 3. I had to tell her multiple times that she forgot to clean certain areas. She even missed cleaning the rim of one of the toilet bowls. Also, she did not mop the tile in the laundry room and I've included a photo where she stopped at the threshold to the room. Window sills were also missed as well as the shelving in the pantry and the pantry floor. 4. The water to the house had been shut off yesterday and I understand that this was my fault. I know not having running water can make cleaning difficult but I had asked the neighbor if we could get water out of his hose and he had no problem with that. I filled up her mop bucket and another bucket I brought multiple times so that she could clean and just b/c water isn't coming out of the faucet doesn't mean she can't do her job. She had water in her mop bucket and another bucket to get water from if needed. I dumped both out and refreshed them multiple times. I'm really disappointed that I had to stay at the house for 3+ hours to not only help her clean but clean behind her b/c areas were missed or half cleaned. The whole point of hiring the cleaning service was so that I didn't have to clean it myself and take time out of my work day to do so. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLEANING COMPANY!!!!! They do not care about you. All they care about is taking your money and doing a subpar job. They don't even have the decency to call me back to discuss my experience and make it right. I had some renovation done on the house and the dust was everywhere. Yuck. Reached out to about eight different housecleaners on Yelp and chose Texas Cleaning for a couple of different reasons. Here's what I got: Two cleaners showed up right on time (there were a couple of txts before the service to confirm date & time) ready to go. These two ladies worked four hours straight with no breaks and like all good cleaners, they started at the top and worked down efficiently cleaning every room including dusting, sweeping, cleaning, polishing, shining, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping. I had no problems with these nice people - no dawdling, no wasting time, just solid work with care for my furniture and belongings. Total cost for two people at fours hours with all the services I noted (and tip!) was a little under $400. For a home full of dust everywhere, I thought this was well worth it, and Texas Cleaning did just fine. Give 'em a try. read more

When we booked the appointment we asked how many cleaners would be sent. They told us two. Also, we were sent a confirmation email claiming we would receive a discount for our first visit. Neither were true. But, a very nice lady arrived on time and began to clean. I had requested special attention to our baseboards as this had not been done for quite a while. I didn't observe this occurring immediately so I asked if she'd been directed to do this. She said in the bathrooms she was focusing on them but indicated she had not enough time to do them all. Though things were tidy and cleaner than before, we felt the job was rushed and attention was not given to the items we specifically requested. The owner, Jacob, reached out and offered a full refund and a reclean. We accepted the refund, which we truly appreciate and resolves that particular issue, although I would have been happy with just the partial reclean to finish the service from the beginning. It's a shame that it got resolved after I posted a poor review; I didn't go straight to posting a bad review--I tried to find a resolution with a company supervisor, and I don't believe it should have to get to the point of an owner overriding a supervisor after a review is posted--it should be made right the first time. But I appreciate that he emphasized growing from these mistakes rather than solely smoothing it over with a refund, and I think it's meaningful that he gave detail for the ways they'll improve. Examples are "...I will be taking the necessary steps to improve from this situation and avoid this from happening again in the future...Regarding the response from the management team, I think that could have been addressed a little better, the situation shouldn't have escalated the way it did, the solution should have been sending the team or a new team out to do the appropriate job that wasn't done originally as per the agreement. I will be working on improving the training process...Cleaner will be aware of their mistakes and management side will be aware of how to deal with these kind of situations and provide the best solution to the problem..." But he also continues to heavily and repeatedly emphasize removing my review, and this is what continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I had hoped to write a more positive review, but while finding a resolution can often fully solve an issue, it doesn't make it so that it didn't happen. This was the interaction between the company and me, it's just a fact that it happened; the purpose of a review is literally to convey your interaction with a company in order for others to make informed decisions, and removing it feels dishonest. I personally often value how a company resolves issues more than the issue itself, and any future potential customer can see how the company resolved the issue, and how the company has committed to improvement. It's up to them to decide for themselves--erasing a company's mistakes is not my responsibility. It's also dangerously close to Yelp's policy against companies paying to change reviews. And I wanted to give 4 stars, but I can't. If it was just bad work but was handled well, I'd give 4 stars. If it was bad work and was handled poorly by a receptionist but handled well by management, I'd give a weak 4 stars. If all of that had happened and the company committed to change as they did but didn't over-focus on reviews, I'd think about it. It would also be different if this was a fluke and didn't seem to be a trend for them. My husband hired them without reading reviews, but there are other reviews also complaining about things not being cleaned at all, and some of the 4 stars were actually poor reviews that changed after Jacob "made it right". I do hope that they are genuinely committed to improvement so that their employees communicate professionally, don't grill customers that follow procedure, actually know what to do in normal situations, actually do what they're paid to do rather than cut corners, and aren't dishonest. Their future customers deserve that. I hope that they get nothing but genuine rave reviews from here on out because they changed to preemptively provide great service. read more

EDIT: Jacob contacted us to understand what went wrong, noted all of our grievances and promised to fix the issues for future customers. He also credited us for $100 for our troubles. It goes to show that the owners do care about customer service, and are willing to work hard to keep improving things 1. They offer a 24-hour cancellation window. It is very easy to book the service online, but there is no way to cancel online. We had a Monday morning appointment, and we needed to cancel. The only way was to call, and they would only take calls at 11 AM on Sunday. Despite this issue, they flat out declined to waive the cancellation fee. Their first response was that we dispute the charge with the CC company. It did not seem to them that this was their problem. Eventually, they let us reschedule online. 2. We had booked a post-renovation clean, costing us about $550. This includes wall cleaning. We filled out a form with this information, and mentioned that we needed bathrooms cleaned, and we have hardwood floors. When they showed up, the cleaners didn't know about any of this. They didn't have equipment to handle the dust, to even vacuum hardwood floors, and we offered our own vacuums. The cleaning people were very nice, but they had no information. They were just two of them, and obviously overwhelmed by the task, though they did a great job at the end. To me, the second point is what makes this business terrible. Being incompetent in scheduling is one thing. Trying to keep as much of the money through unfair policies is also nothing new. But being incompetent at the logistics of cleaning? That is inexcusable. I hope they paid the cleaning lady because from their attitude it seems they would try to scam on the other side too. read more

I am updating this review as per the resolution to the issue I had with cleaning service. I did receive a refund of which the amount I will not disclose here, and an extensive follow up email about how the company will resolve these issues moving forward that appeared to be genuine. With that being said, it seems like similar issues have been noted in other reviews and the company may still be having issues with executing what they say they will do to improve. I will consider using this company again for regular cleaning service and see if it is done better, the initial issues I had were with the move out cleaning service which was executed poorly when I was on a strict timeframe to get old tenants out, do repairs to the house, build a gate, and also working my 9-5 job on top of all that. All of this needed to be done within two days, and cleaning was to be done on the second day after all other projects were done. I cannot say at the moment I would suggest using this companies extensive move out cleaning service, however they might do just fine for the regular cleaning. I cannot in good conscience remove my review completely, as the bottom line is I paid for a service in a time of need with confidence that what I had paid at the time would be worth every dollar paid and the house would be ready for new tenants to move in. It was not ready, and that is the point. The company did make it right by providing a refund and explaining how they would correct these issues moving forward which is why this review is now four stars. With that being said, the below information is still relevant to my initial experience. Hopefully I can work with the company to provide better service with regular cleaning moving forward. Further information regarding this service: Not done: 1. Vents 2. Door frames 3. Picture frames 4. shelves 5. top of refrigerator 6. Toaster oven 7. Wall behind stovetop 8. Dusting off one desk in office Partially done: 1. Lighting fixtures. 2. Mopping (mostly done, one or two areas not done) 3. Ceiling fans (partially done, decorative crevices not cleaned) I did manage to come find (unnamed workers due to privacy) as the fridge had only been partially cleaned inside even though this was a service I paid extra for. It was difficult to communicate to them but I eventually realized they had not cleaned it because there were some items in the fridge. This is not clear when paying extra that everything must be taken out, however as they would not I took everything out myself which took three minutes, and asked them to clean it again which it seemed like they begrudgingly did. I have to say I was not particularly happy needing to argue about receiving a service I had already paid for. I asked them to focus on the tenant rooms and they said they would, mopped everything else but the tenant room still has dusty shoe prints. What's funny is I actually vacuumed the WHOLE HOUSE ahead of time to make sure they could focus on problem areas. they used this extra time to leave early. When you pay $15 extra for refrigerator cleaning, this is unacceptable, the only time it would be acceptable is if it is DISCLOSED everything must be removed from the fridge (it was not) Speaking of which, if you have any items in your house, say, notebooks, stickers, mousepads THEY WILL NOT MOVE IT TO CLEAN IT. They offered to have someone come to fix it, to bad since I already spent my time that I needed to repair damage to the house and do touch up painting etc cleaning everything they did not clean. read more
