Cant reach anyone, thats speaks English and is literate. Had to hangup twice as person taking my call is just unintelligible. Trying to make an appointment after receiving at least 4 phone call messages urging me to make an appt, that my tests were past due and two letters urging me to call. Im at every 3 yrs now and have been putting this off, but knowing I am at high risk, Ive tried to get an appt but no luck. Cann anyone refer me to someone else for Colonoscopy & endoscopy. I had an appointment after an episode of diverticulitis. I saw the doc, Dr. Merriweather, he was good, knew his stuff. I should say at this point that I am an ICU nurse and work with docs of all specialties and have an excellent BS detector. The office made me an appointment over a month out, fine. 2 weeks before my appointment, A lady calls me and says the procedure is out of network and will cost me a lot of money. She then informs me that the office will reach out to reschedule at Resolute. So now they say next available is JUNE 14! 2 months from now. This office is crap; I'll be dead before I see a doc. I called to set my five-year follow up colonoscopy. I was informed to call their billing dept. It was actually a collection agency! I called back and the billing dept listed 5 separate "cancellation fees" of varying amounts: $100, $75, $50 x3. These dated back from 2021-2024. They weren't able to explain the variation in the amounts billed! No apologies, either. I need a new Gastro. Smh. read more

I had a colonoscopy/upper endoscopy At TDDC. To get my results and get prescribed medication I had a follow up visit. I was charged for an office visit. This is first doctor I have encountered that charges for a follow visit after a medical procedure. I called the office and was basically told " tough luck". I have been in the TDDC system for many years. The New Braunfels location has been subpar regarding ease of scheduling, communication with office staff, and lack of personal people skills of the doctor staff. read more

I waited 3 months to have a procedure done. The billing office called me promptly prior to the procedure to ensure they get paid. It was getting closer to the date of the procedure but I had not received my instructions that I had been told I needed. I called and was sent to a nurse's voicemail. I received no call back; called twice more. The front desk rudely told me that I need to be patient and scolded me; talked condescendingly. I was not rude to her to provoke that behavior. I canceled the procedure as a result. Bottom line; long wait for procedure's, rude customer service and patient call back is nonexistent. read more

I have been a patient here for 18 months. After numerous tests and procedures. No treatment and just told they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Now with actual diagnosis in hand from another doctor that is 100% not in line with this practice or doctors I can see that this isn't a practice for medical treatment it is a practice for medical billing. I have a serious medical issue now that has been compounded by no treatment and is become dangerous. Thanks for caring nothing about patients. And if you are a patient triple check what your insurance company is billed and what is coded for the company to pay. Ive discovered some glaring overcharges. I guess this all explains why suddenly their "nurse" said I was rude and removed me from practice. Suddenly, as I have another doctor running tests and find overcharges, I am the problem. No. If you don't value your health and want the run around please, by all mean give this outside a go. But, pay attention to billing. This group has a complete disregard for what patients may be going through! They know they will get paid by insurance at some point. Would not see me with out paying co-pay. DR JOHN CLULEY is my gastro-guy. The staff were very helpful from the very beginning of my referral; I'm anemic & he's looking for a bleed. The colonoscopy procedure itself is really a pain in the patooty (pun intended) but Dr C met with me and explained the new/improved liquid laxative version I'd be taking this go-around. This kept me better informed than when I had a colonoscopy 6 years ago in Utah. The procedure itself was done at Christus Santa Rosa Surgical Center and they, too, have a wonderful, well prepared staff. I'll be returning to Dr C and staff for an upper GI and expect the same stellar care! read more

DO NOT use these guys for your gastro services!. They do not care about you or your health. I was told I had to "prepay" for services and I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance. All they want is your money. read more

Not sure how the doctors are here, but that's because the office staff is brutal...My wife made an appointment and was supposed to hear back if they except our insurance...We didn't hear back for a week, so we called multiple times and always got recorded message...Day of appointment I called several times, finally heard back from someone and told them that since we had no records sent that I wasn't going to come...They said ok, then sent me a bill for a no show...Called to reschedule and discuss the charge and they said, "You're insurance will not cover you anyway..." I tried to speak to the "case Manager and she was unavailable...Going to try her again in an hour...Maybe your experience will be better...LOL read more

I was told in July that I had tested positive for colon cancer 4 months earlier via cologuard. I reached out to TDDC and Dr Pearce, endured the colonoscopy and still have no new information. I agree, this is all about the money. I can't get through the staff for an answer, can only set 'another appointment' for follow up, and Dr Pearce does NOT recommend surgery, only further colonoscopies, for a rather large and unstable tubulovillos adenoma. I'll be moving on and taking my records with me. read more

You cannot contact the office in New Braunfels TX. I tried to reschedule an appointment by calling the help numbers furnished with my colonoscopy prep form. Those numbers never answer and you get a voice mail saying they will contact you within 24 hours. That does not happen. The only number that you can reach is billing or new appointments. Even if you reach new appointments, they will promptly transfer you to a number that will not answer and ask for you to leave a voice mail that will call you back within 24 hours. Again, it does not happen. I've been trying to reach them for 72 hours. I finally begged the person in appointments to please help me reschedule. At least she cancelled the appointment and said she would leave a message with the staff and they would get back to me for a reschedule. If any of the doctors or corporate management reads this, you are losing business. I feel I have no choice but to return to my PCM and get a new referral to someone else who will at least talk to me as their patient. No where on their website, even on the patient portal is there a way to contact anyone who will actually answer the phone. It should be a matter of patient rights that there is at least an email a patient could contact for their concerns. read more
