I'm 81 and was told by shared fence neighbors that they'd only share cost of Pine on fence portions not seen on the street. So I had to go along with them, as the company wouldn't do my portion in cedar, instead of pine. I never heard rep say it was a bad choice - shrinks and loses shape. When 1 neighbor had 6 cedar pickets on the portion seen from the street replaced 18 months after installation, I called 22 months after installation and was told I'd have to pay for the Pine repair (a new fence) and that they couldn't just replace the bad pickets. Some of the boards weren't nailed to the posts or cross pieces. The person assigned to installation was never seen at the job site. They did cut my internet wires - I had to arrange that repair. They did want to use my bathroom - one day of that was enough. I really thought that companies in the fence business would want a reputation of service. read more

I would not recommend this fence company to any one . The gate they brought out is well built and the crew that installed the gate were spot on. The crew for reinstalling the gate opener are not up to standard had to bring them back out 4 times to correct there welding. I did not look at the bracket they installed on the gate well it fell off last week. I called them to disscuss the issue and no one ever called back. read more

Texas Fence is not worth the premium price. Don't expect anyone to call, or knock on your door to let you know anything, you'll know when you see them in your back yard. The crew either forgot, or didn't feel like putting in 24 of the lag screws that attach the brackets to the backer 2x4s on my 70' section. One bracket only had a single screw in it. I called TF about it, never heard back from them, so I went to the hardware store, bought the screws, and finished the job myself. While I was out I picked up a magnetic sweep and picked up all the nails and screw from the street, so my neighbors or I didn't end up with a flat tire. I'm sure a big fence company that drops copious amounts of nails and screws in the streets has to own a few magnetic sweeps, maybe not. They left a few sharp metal holes where they cut the old metal fence posts instead of pulling them up, and then just kicked some dirt over them. Left a lot of trash, rocks, and mud. Some of which they shoved up against the botched metal brackets they just left hanging. They placed some of the defective 2x4s with the gap facing the fence boards so they collect water. I had to go out as ask them not to use my expensive AC unit as a work bench. I paid my neighbor for 1/2 the price of the fence, not TF, so when I did call, I got a snarky comment about my name not being on the payment method. It's not worth the premium price, you can get that kind of treatment for far less. read more

This fence company installed a fence in my yard and the surrounding yards. The fence looks good. However, the crew they had do the installation did not clean up any of their trash. They have been contacted, but no responsibility was taken to return and pick up their trash. If you go with Texas Fence, know that the crew will arrive around 10am and leave about 4pm or earlier. Even a small fence will take 2 days, so don't plan on it being a one day repair. I would not recommend working with Lester as a project manager, as he will not validate concerns from a customer if you have any. However, I did speak with Trey about mine and my husbands concerns and frustrations. He validated our thoughts and spoke very professionally. I appreciated the time he took to speak to both my husband and myself. Overall, we are very pleased with the results and have a beautiful fence. read more

I had to leave before the job was complete. When I came back the guys had piled the post hole dirt at the base of the fence and halfway up the rot board. Unfortunately I paid the first half with a credit card and they invoiced me for the balance whether I was satisfied with the job or not. Fence was ok. Just finishing having a fence installed at my home. The work was completed in two days and was an exceptional job. Workmanship was superior. A large tree was on the property line and I figured it was going to be an issue. The gentleman made custom cuts and was able to seamlessly go around the tree. Exceptional work. My husband says he never believes 5 star reviews, but I'm giving Texas Fence 5 stars anyway. Our new cedar fence looks amazing. The crew came out and worked hard removing old fence and installing the new one. Two of our neighbors had a chain link fence, so the crew had to work in very tight spaces. There were a couple of small problems, like boards missing nails, but they came back right away to make sure everything was perfect. And they gladly came back, meaning there was no complaining or delay. They apologized for inconveniencing me! That's how businesses should be run, but it's so rare to find companies that actually deliver. We had a cedar fence installed and two gates. Daniz, the crew leader, was phenomenal. You could tell that he took pride in his work and he and his crew did a beautiful job. We were pleased to see that they took their time to build a quality product. Stuff I have no clue about like geometry and a square (those tools shaped like a triangle) were used. We are very happy with the finished product. I worked with Chris Bankston as well. He answered all my questions and made sure that I was happy with the finished result. We have had terrible communication, scheduling, incompletion of the job issues as well as billing problems. We would not recommend this company. We had a complaint from our neighbor because their fence was disconnected at the corner and not reconnected to our new fence. This has been a mess. We discussed what I wanted and he measured the area. The guys came when he said they would and installed my fence. And in the midst of them installing, I changed my mind about an entryway and called Erik. He was so nice about it and added the entryway, called my project manager, Chris and it was done! Texas Fence is one of such businesses - very deserving of the highest ratings and highly recommended. We first hired them 3 years ago to replace one part of our fence and they did a wonderful job. When our other neighbor was ready to replace a shared fence, we recommended hiring Texas Fence again, and together we did. The work was done in one day - excellent job and superior quality! The crew was very courteous and professional (unlike some other construction businesses we've dealt with, Texas Fence crews are respectful and diligent - they keep standard and considerate working hours, show up on time, and keep noise to a minimum - no accompanying music, no loud yelling, respectful of the neighborhood, they are very focused on getting the job done right!). One of the crew members - Angel - was especially helpful in fitting a plank near our gate from the previous job - he ensured that everything fits and looks great with the new section of the fence.  I must also note that Texas Fence management truly cares about great customer service and good communication with clients. During the last job, I recall, we had to reschedule work due to the Easter Holiday, and the handling of rescheduling was very professional and considerate.  I would highly recommend Texas Fence to anyone looking for a job done right. I received bids from several companies for a 120ft of fence plus new gate. I'm glad we went with Texas Fence. They have an easy online payment and contract docusign system.. I never had to even meet up with the sales person or office staff. I worked with Brian Elliot and Sean who were great! Initially I was told they would be 4 weeks out before they could start my fence due to high demand. They run at least 15 or so crews possibly more I can't remember the exact number. Luckily they had an opening about a week after I signed contract so they squeeze me in (my fence desperately needed replacing). I have a very particular neighbor who is super critical but this crew was so great I received no complaints! In fact both neighbors added more work to each of their sides. I called Texas Fence for an estimate in mid-October and a salesman came out to my house the same day. I told him I was taking estimates and he gave me an estimate for 126 linear feet of wood fence. The price was higher than another estimate so I emailed him a copy of the lower estimate and he lowered his price to match it. I signed the contract online online Oct. 24 and was hoping to have the project completed in November. I did not hear anything for three weeks and then the salesman called and said they didn't receive my deposit. I explained that the online system was a little confusing so I re-entered my deposit information again. He emailed me back and said that it may take another three to four weeks for completion. The project manager called in late November and we agreed on a work date of Dec. 1st and 2nd 2022. At that time communication became clear and the work crew came out on time and completed the job in one and a half days. The crew was a sub-contracting crew. They were professional, easy to work with, and did and an excellent job. Overall, my experience with this company was good. The online system was a little bit confusing at first and I felt they could have provided better customer service by explaining the whole process when I signed the contract. (project date, preparation, receipt of deposit, etc.) Once the project manager called (late November) we set a work date everything went well. The price was competitive, the work was professional, good quality, and completed on time. read more

Our driveway gate that was installed at the end of May stopped working in December. I called Texas Fence immediately to log a ticket before we had to leave town for the holidays and was told that someone would maybe call me within 48 hours. No one called or followed up in 7 days that the ticket was called in. I had to call another company who showed up within 24 hours of my call to assist and fix the issue. Let me begin by saying that I have no issue whatsoever regarding the quality of materials and the actual installation process. Texas Fence did an acceptable job once they arrived onsite. My one and only issue has to do with the level of communication after the quote was provided and the project was initiated. I and two of my neighbors had to go in together on this project and getting basic information regarding the installation date and just general information was, well, frankly incredibly frustrating. Numerous voice messages and emails were sent and responses were never provided. This is just unacceptable and unprofessional. Would I use Texas Fence again, maybe, but forewarned is forearmed. I'm sure other customers have had a good experience, but I'm not one of them. They replaced my old wood fence and didn't dig out the old 4x4 posts. They just cut them down the to the ground and set new posts beside them. Worse yet, the new posts weren't set deep enough and the fences fell over 2 yrs later. When I called, Robert said there's nothing they can do and just gave me a new quote to replace the crummy fence they installed. What bothers me is that my next door neighbor had Home Depot replace her fence the same week as mine and her's is still perfect 4 yrs later. Had I known then what I know now... read more

We are in the process of moving and we needed our fence replaced. Texas Fence did a decent job and the guys were nice however we noticed the nails went into the wood a little too far and that means the boards will likely come loose early and have to be nailed in again. Nails should be flush with the wood to make the fence last longer. Some additional issues. They used an old post instead of installing a new one in one corner of the yard. They need to replace the old post with a new one. They were suppose to come back after the weekend and finish the job but we have not heard from them since and the work is still unfinished. Husband contacted the company and reported the problems but no one has responded. They claimed they would call us back about using the post we paid for to replace the old post they used but no one has bothered. We can't recommend this company. read more

1 STAR! They deserve less. It's been 2 months since the first installation. The gate breaks every other day. Not an exaggeration, it's probably more often. They will come out and "repair" it in a fairly timely fashion, but that's about it. It will break the next day. And then he comes out again. and again. and again. But really, they just use a bad system. They said they'll replace it with a new one, but that has yet to be seen. Stay away from these guys. They use shotty gate mechanisms, and can't get them to operate properly. 2 months, over a dozen visits, and it still doesn't work. You've been warned. read more

Have had issues w/installed gate opener not working since day one and their response to returning calls, keeping appointments have been anything but pleasant.
