My wife and I had dinner here on a weeknight in early Nov 2019. We are fans of Texas Roadhouse restaurants. This restaurant is a copy of that restaurant chain, right down to the way the staff announces birthdays in the dining room. We enjoyed the meal and had no complaints. While the Missus and I were up in the Cumberland area to do some sightseeing and take a trip on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, we stopped in this place for dinner. It was purely random choice. It was a great place. Dinner time was bustling and there could have been more staff but the waiter we had was supper friendly and put us at ease. The menu choices were what you would expect from a "Texas Roadhouse" and the steak was very tasty and prepared perfectly. The place has a full bar so the Missus had her normal Marguerita. The desserts were good and the price of everything was pretty reasonable. If you're ever up in that area, it's definitely worth the visit. read more

Location is everything, and there's not much else around. Decent prices, good service, but feels very much like any other chain steakhouse. Very small beer selection. This is a locally owned and ran restaurant and it's done well. This isn't a traditional steakhouse per se, but it was a good experience for my family and I. It has food done well, but it's not Texas Roadhouse. The baked beans are the best I've ever eaten. Both the food and atmosphere were pleasant. The staff were inviting and knowledgeable. Great find! Looking for a place to have a family dinner after my daughter's field hockey game and drove around and found this restaurant. They were able to accommodate 10 people right away without a wait, that right there is a good place. Service was excellent, we had two waitstaff attending to our table and that really sped things up. Servers were very attentive, food orders, even though some had specific requests, all orders were made and delivered properly. Food was delicious, two of us had fajitas and they were wonderful, tasty and plentiful. Others has ribs and chicken, chicken fried steak and salad. We started with the crab dip appetizer and it was delicious. We will definitely be back as my daughter attends college nearby and just started there. Overall pretty good. We tried a wide variety of brisket sandwich (no cheese), sweet potato fries, salad, cornbread, beans, and onion tumbleweed. Onion tangler was greasy and had a puddle on the plate when we were finished, but tastes ok. Brisket sandwich was good and the beans were good with less tomato taste and more beef than the normal variety. Overall not too shabby. Prices are reasonable, service was good. Menus looks good with lots of selections. The salad was good although the plate was far too small to contain it. The sweet potato was also very good, but my steak was very disappointing! I ordered the Filet medium rare. It came out BLUE, burnt outside and half frozen inside, second time it came out bloody rare and still half frozen with 4 cuts in it. Needless to say this meant the manager got involved. We had to pull up the photo charts as as medium rare only the middle is red and it is not crispy on the outside. This was our second visit to this place. I gave it a mediocre review for the first visit, however thinking it could just have been one of their off days our family and friends thought we owed them a second chance. The food was served at circa 45 mins after ordering, even the drinks took 10 mins to appear, the check took another 30 min to arrive. No apology was offered even though we had children with us that needed amusing during our marathon wait. When the food eventually arrived it showed all the signs of longevity and tasted at best 'industrial'. I was truly expecting for the food to resurface during the night for one or more of our party, yes, it was that bad. The whole experience was a disaster and we will never darken their door again. One of the kids said can we go back to Bob Evans and I said let's go back to Ruby Tuesday (just a stone's throw down the street), the Double Decker Chicken there is sublime. Ruby Tuesday is at the other end of the evolutionary scale i.e a 5 star experience. Please don't waste your time and money here. read more

Will never go back. The steak was over cooked didn't get part of our order then had spoiled slaw. When I said something about the slaw the manager told me it wasn't she ate it I said well this one is. I only said something incase it was all bad to have them check. She stormed away yelling I'll take it off your bill and all staff who were all standing around at the side the whole time we were there making rude comments ..yes we could hear them I've never been treated so poorly . I have worked in restaurants and you do NOT act like that , I have been going here for years but after that I won't be back the staff and management act like ignorant children treating customers with no respect. We were about to celebrate my deceased mother -in- law's birthday as we have for the last 6 years at her favorite restaurant, Texas Grillhouse. There were 6 people of a party of 9 present when we attempted to get seated. We were informed that we could not be seated until our whole party was present. This would have been fine if 2 of our party hadn't had a limited amount of time and one of our party was going to be about 30 minutes late. We tried to express this to the waitress to no avail as she insisted she would not seat us until everyone was there. I asked to speak to the manager and heard the same story. Even after informing her of our situation she would still not allow the waitress to seat us. As all of this was transpiring 2 more of our party showed up but we still weren't seated. Now it is hard enough to work around every bodies schedules to put this together without something petty like this popping up. Needless to say our party departed and headed to a different eating establishment where we didn't have this problem.(One of our party called ahead and that restaurant had tables ready when we got there. From looking at previous receipts from Texas Grillhouse we spend between $250 to $300 and always leave at least a 20% tip. This is our last trip to this place, I'm sure mom will understand! read more

The only good thing about this place was its location near the hotel we were staying in. My meal was a mess. I didn't know it was possible to mess up a chicken quesadilla, but Texas Grill House did it with ease. The salsa tasted as if it it came from a jar of Pace, the chicken had an odd flavor, the side of rice was drowned in oil. We had an early dinner here. Seating was immediate and staff were friendly and efficient. Booth seating was comfortable for my wife...the gal with the bad back. The Sirloin was well grilled and well seasoned and the salad and side were good portions and also well made. We had a beer from the tap. They don't have an enormous selection but it was adequate. Disappointing. Salad was adequate. Hot bacon dressing was very good. Steak tips came out a couple minutes after the salad. Tips were slightly overcooked (not bad enough to send back). Onions/peppers were badly overcooked to the point of being mushy. read more

Family of four went here for dinner. The Rotisserie chicken was very good. The crab soup was inedible. Most other options were decent but not great. The two exceptions were the service, which was friendly, quick, and helpful; and the sweet potato fries with sweet, cinnamon butter. This was a nice place. Nothing fantastic about the food. I lived in San Antonio, and dont remember the food this way. The waitress was very pleasant. My biggest issue was the price. Stopped in for dinner tonight and we are sure glad we did! The hostess was quick to greet us and seated us immediately. Desirea was a wonderful waitress. She was very attentive in meeting all of our needs. All of our food came out hot and exactly as we ordered it. The shrimp Alfredo was hot and cheesy just like my husband likes it. My daughter had the crabby chicken and she absolutely loved it. I had the flat iron steak, which was cooked perfectly and wonderfully delicious!! For me personally, I would not go back here. The location was nice, but the food was mediocre. Based on the prices you could probably assume this. Most of my family enjoyed their meal because of the price though it was not more than average. I can say that the fried pickles were very good and so was the ranch dressing. The steak was hard for me to eat. I am a steak LOVER, but this steak tasted like kerosene and left me with a sick feeling afterwards. If I have to add A-1...the steak is not good. The fried crabcake was fairly decent, much better than I expected. The gravy and mashed potatoes were salty and also left me feeling unsettled.
