We stopped at this place for lunch. All of the food is made from locally grown ingredients. One would expect that to be expensive. But, one adult and two kids were a little over $20. The quiche was fantastic. The soup of the day (tomato basil) was also fantastic. I could not leave there without trying the pie. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we got there late in the day, so the single slice of pie selection was slim. So, we bought a whole apple pie (another $18) and took it home. It was FANTASTIC. As far as the environment goes, it is an old home that has been remodeled into a restaurant. It has a "down-home" feel to it. It is small and you have to order at the counter. Since I drive by Texas Harvest Pie Company almost everyday, I finally decided to have lunch there with the hubby. We arrived on a Friday around 1PM. While the crowd was mostly 'ladies who lunch', there appeared to be a few other reluctant husbands dining, as well. I had the Lunch Special of 1/2 a Chicken Salad Sand. w/ salad. The hubby had the Special of 1/2 Classic Reuben w/ salad. The sandwiches were good, especially the bread. The salads were good as well, a little heavy on the vinegar, but still good. But, by the time we arrived and placed our orders, the pie selection was limited, if not almost gone! We split a slice of pecan pie. The pecan was very good, however, it was not my first or second choice. We could see more pie behind the counter, however, the remaining pie had already been purchased ! Please make more pie!!! This place is simple. They make pies with a limited menu of sandwiches and sides in what is an old historic house that seems to be straight from the wild west days of Texas. Obviously, I came here for one thing and one thing only; pies. Everything is made from scratch. The only place to sit is outside on their incredibly charming porch with a nice street view of Olive Street in old town Keller, just far enough away from the street noise of 377. When you come in you walk past the coffee cabinet to a lovely pie display at the end of the hall right outside the kitchen. Those are the pies available for that day, made fresh, that day. The day we went the owner had blueberry, lemon chess, pecan and one other I can't remember. We went for the 3 slice sampler for $7.00 which includes unlimited coffee or tea. This is American drip coffee options only . . . I don't believe they offer any espresso coffee. We decided to get two blueberry slices and one lemon chess. These were darn freaking good pies! The lemon chess is one of my new favorite pies. The blueberry was fantastic. They taste like pies used to, made with wholesome quality natural ingredients and made truly from complete scratch. I couldn't get enough. The 3 slice sampler is actually a great deal because even though the slices are half the standard slice, they are perfectly good portion slices. A normal slice is 1/6 of the pie, which explains why the prices might seem a little high at first. They aren't. It is just that the sizes are Texas portions . . it is named after all the "Texas Harvest Pie Company" for a reason. The baker/owner was very kind/courteous and attentive in true Texas fashion. This place has nothing extra I say. Come here for pie, enjoy the porch sitting while eating said pie, then walk across the street to the book store and get a good book to read. This most definitely is my new favorite place for my weekly sweet treat. I imagine this would hit the spot on sunny days as well as lazy rainy days where the processed carb cravings are higher than usual. Come one pie lover, come all pie lovers. their buttermilk pie was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of crème brûlée dessert. They have a few seatings outside and the server was very kind and serving towards us. Not a place I would recommend for larger crowds, but definitely a place for a meeting. Had a very wonderful experience, I would recommend for anyone. We will definitely visit again read more

Cute unexpected place in Old town Keller. Service was good and pretty quick. We stopped in for breakfast one morning and like other reviewers mentioned, its the type of places that is for ladies lunching. Typically these kinds of places are a bit frou-frou for me, especially since all they served for breakfast was quiche but this place is definitely on my list of places to come back. We both ordered spinach bacon quiche and a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie to split. The quiche had a great flavor and the crust was wonderful. As a side note, if they are making pecan meltaways - order them. they're amazing. I ordered half a dozen for later and they didn't seem to last very long. Best pie I have ever had period! I can't eat any other pie now because it just doesn't come close. I normally hate the pie crust and never eat it, but the crust on these pies is possibly the most delicious part. My favorite are all the fruit pies, specifically raspberry, strawberry-rhubarb, and mixed berry but there's so many flavours I've yet to try them all! The owner is so sweet and makes sure to get whatever pie you want exactly right and always has pies ready to just pick up a slice. Also her lunches are delicious! I love the chicken salad sandwich with a cup of tomato soup, and I normally don't even like tomato soup! I go here every chance I get. read more

I visited the Pie Company again. The food---bread,salad, pie,etc was delicious as usual. The service was hectic as usual. There is one woman who takes your order, hands out the glasses or cups, works the cash register, brings your food and when she has time, clears the tables. We cleared a table in order to sit down, knowing she was busy. I had changed my order because she said they ran out of chicken salad, were making more and it would take some time. After the excellent meal, we chose to have pie and when I went up to order, she suggested we order pie next time when we put in our lunch order so that it would save time. Guess I'd better have a conversation with my tummy to see just how much it needs before I go in next time. We arrived at 11:30 because the first time we went they had given out of some things The little house is so homey, the owners seem so cotton pickin' nice that I feel like a heel to complain-------but come on----it is a business. Can't they figure out how much to buy and don't they have an Aunt Emmy or Uncle Bud who can help out? They only have 7 tables. But, like I said, the food is great. read more

I stopped by to pick up father's day dessert with no pre-order and they had chocolate or key lime pie left. I chose the key lime with trepidation, because both of those pies are easy to get wrong. However, the key lime was very right! Absolutely delicious. The best crumb crust I think I've ever had (there is something special in it, I can't tell exactly what but I think it's brown butter) and the filling was perfectly sweet/tart with homemade whipped cream on top. Next time I'm going for the food, but I will be certain to pre-order another pie to go! read more

My family and I order pies from the place at least once a month if not more. They are amazing! Their little business is growing and they are doing the very best they know how to do. Just like all new business adventures sometimes things are a little hectic. I would think as American's we would understand the dream of owning your own business and understand that this is not a corportate restaurant where items are shipped here made and they warm it up in a oven. This sweet family makes each pie and cake with love and their own hands and we should appreciate their effor to give us good homemade fresh pies and stop complaining. Came here on a friends recommendation with my girlfriend. I'm honestly not a big Pie guy myself but I was really interested in the chocolate meringue pie and it was quality. I absolutely loved it, my girlfriend ordered the coconut meringue and she wouldn't let me eat off of hers at all. All in all It was a great experience with great service and great pies! I tried their pies some years back and remembered they were really good, so I was happy to learn they have opened a spot in old town Keller. Went right around noon and there were no other customers. It was a little confusing when walking in because they share the small building with two other shops/businesses I think. They were right in the middle and you walk straight into a glass display cabinet with some pies and then their kitchen. I have never been here before so a little guidance or sign as to what to do would have been helpful as honestly, there is no counter where you can order and I did not see prices as well. There is a porch outside that's quite lovely with a few tables and chairs which I assume, one can use if eating there. Again, no sign. The pies I got were both really delicious, way better than the pie place in Roanoke in my opinion. The ladies were nice; it was just really an awkward moment as I have never been there before, did not know how to order and the lady was looking at me, kind of expecting I knew how it works. I will probably be back, but next time I hope for a little warmer reception. I don't expect a hug, mind you, but just some good old Texan welcome if possible. read more

To say angels work in the kitchen turning out pies that are "HEAVEN ON A FORK" is not an exaggeration! For melt-in-your-mouth crust and the yummiest of fillings the pies are OUTSTANDING! Yum, yum! Great quiches and I usually don't like them but these are great. Salads and soup are very fresh and good quality. All of the sweets aka pies, cookies, muffins, turnovers are great! Service is very slow but the have gotten better. Obviously the owners are great cooks but not the best at keeping tea and coffee jugs filled. I was very disappointed in our key lime pie we purchases. The filling was so skimpy that even with the whipped cream added on top it didnt come even with the top of the aluminum pan. The filling wasnt creamy it seemed almost curdles and at a eifhteen dollar peice tag was not happy. read more

This place is AWESOME! If you like homemade pie - there is none better. They are a small family owned business and don't cater to the large commercial - pump them out - attitude. Each pie is made by hand with love - you can definitely taste the difference. A MUST try - come early for the best variety - they sell out quickly - one taste and you'll know why. I took one to a quilting class one time (it was still warm) and I thought they were going to bite my hand before I could set it down.
