They also buy and sell designer bags, shoes, and jewelry. I arrived on June 14, 2025, to pick up two pairs of Christian Louboutin's that needed the soles replaced and a pair of Aquazzura heels that need new heel tips. Upon arrival, I was informed that they were having a 40% off sale on everything in the store. I purchased the cutest purse that I had been eyeing for months (picture attached). I bought a pair of heavy duty Men's cammo lace-up boots on Facebook Marketplace for my son, who was looking for a pair. After I gave them to him, he told me that the soles were separating from the boot! I found Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair on Yelp and decided to taken them in for repair. I dropped them off and was given a pick up ticket. The woman who worked there gave me a ticket and said I might want to take a picture of it because it often gets lost. And having that ticket number is the only way to retrieve your item at pick-up. So glad I did because I couldn't find it when I went to pick them up! The woman looked over the boots and said the cost would depend on how much gluing was needed. Fair enough. Once the "promised by" date arrived, I went to pick up the repaired boots. The cost and time needed for repair was reasonable. The repair took place back in December, and they are still holding up, so they did a great job! I would definitely use Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair again if the need arises. read more

I had been coming here for years to get my shoes repaired and had always received great service until recently. On Jan 4th I dropped a pair of boots off to have the tap on the heel replaced. I was told to come back to pick them up on the 7th. I received a text stating they would be ready on the 11th due to the winter weather. I came on the new date requested and my boots were not ready. Two weeks go by and my boots are still no where to be found. They admit to losing them and then only offer $40 to reimburse me for the boots they "lost". I explained that the boots were worth more than $40 and now she is refusing to respond to my text messages. It's been 6 weeks since dropping my boots off and they haven't been found and I haven't been adequately compensated for their negligence. Since I have not been reimbursed, I will be seeking legal counsel. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to get repairs. Since turning it into a consignment shop, the store is unorganized and the customer service is unprofessional. Its unfortunate that I will have to file a police report for theft and seek legal counsel to be reimbursed for what was taken from me. read more

My wife brought four pairs of shoes for service. Three high heels and one pair of mens brogues. She asked me to swing by and pick them up and gave me the ticket to do so. I was happy with with what they did with my pair of shoes. They looked fairly new. For $24.99 I wish they included new laces, but they replaced the heels, polished them and colored the sides. They replaced all three pairs of heels at $9.99/each. Maybe it's the Indian in me but dang! For that little piece of rubber/plastic? Maybe there's more that goes into it. I guess I'll need to visit YouTube University. Either way I was prepared to spend about $55ish as my wife mentioned (yes dear...). When I got the bill it was $84 and some change. I tilted my head like..."whoa hold on here. What is the breakdown." The lady went over it a couple times (owners wife?), but she was even confused and had to ask Paul. They did not include the breakdown on the the slip for the 'polish' of my wife's red shoe. They said her red pairs were scuffed up and they took care of it. I had no clue if it looked better or not as I didn't drop them off. I couldn't tell. I figured maybe my wife forgot about the up charge and proceed to pay in cash since their internet was down. Before I left, I even passed my card and talked how we can build a partnership with my company to bring more business since they apparently repair leather. When I tell her about the visit, she said "I told them specifically NOT to recolor it as the scuffs were minimal, they were inexpensive and just easier to replace." Because of the service being billed for without prior consent or communication AND my wife explicitly declining when she dropped off the items, but still keeping in mind I liked the results of my shoes - I rated accordingly. read more

Dropped in here on a whim as I was driving past, my heals were down to metal. I popped in for same day repairs. The music is so pleasant while waiting. I started reading the reviews after he'd taken my shoes out the back. It seems the service is either loved or hated. Well my experience is he only took 5 min, he was friendly, the job is excellent and it cost less than $10 (fat cheaper than my normal place) It's clean, smells nice and the job I needed was done quickly and professionally 100% success for me. read more

We've given this place a few tries, but have never been happy with the results. The last straw was when my wife brought in a pair of suede shoes for a simple cleaning, and got them back in worse shape that when she brought them in. There were a few new spots on the toe of the shoes which he claims were there when we brought them in despite having pictures (which my wife took immediately before I left to bring the shoes in) that show otherwise. He basically said "that's what happens to suede sometimes". I had also brought in a pair of boots to be cleaned, and when I picked them up there were a few spots that he said just wouldn't come out. I paid for these two "cleanings" and took both pairs to another shoe cleaning place. I was told that there was nothing that could be done about the suede shoes (and he agreed that they were in worse shape in person than they were in the pictures) but he was able to clean the spots on the boots. In a matter of seconds, while I watched. I feel like I got ripped off at Michael's, and ended up paying him to 1) ruin one pair of shoes and 2) not clean another. I've already been back to the other shoe place since going in for a second opinion, and have been MUCH happier with the results. read more

I got my 1000 mile boots repaired and they feel great! The only thing was it took a day longer to finish them. They said it would be finished on Tuesday but they didn't have them ready until Wednesday. Will I go back? Probably but I'll be calling first to make sure my stuff is finished before I go to pick anything up. read more

This is a good store for shining and repairing shoes with reasonable prices. I used this store across many years.

I've taken different pairs of shoes on two different occasions to Michael's and had two different experiences. The first was a pair of leather pumps that needed a new heel and a cleaning along with some mens leather shoes that needed shaping and cleaning. It took three days and 21 dollars later, I had two pairs of brand-new looking shoes. The second time, I took a pair of leather boots with a high heel that had broken. They were due to be finished four days after I dropped them off but when I returned, they were not ready. I came back the next week, and they were not ready. Michael finally offered to call when they were finished. He said the pin in the heel was not in one piece and he was working to rebuild it. I told him that if it was not possible to repair, to please let me know, because I didn't want to pay for a pair of shoes that I couldn't wear, and I wanted to buy a new pair of boots. He said he would be able to repair them and at a reasonable cost. Finally, two weeks later, he called and had finished the repair. The boots look great, though they didn't shine like the first two pairs. Total repair cost was $30 which was much less than a new pair of boots! I am pleased with the pricing and the turnaround. If you have a pair of leather shoes that you just can't part with, see if Michael can help! read more

Someone at Nordstrom referred us to Michael's Shoe Repair and what a lifesaver this place has been! I've brought in a few pairs of pumps that I've worn down the heel to the point you can see and hear the metal when walking. It only costs $8 for Michael to cap the heel, and you're good to go for awhile! Much cheaper than buying another pair of pumps for at least 6x the price of the repair. My friend in Houston says she pays around $12-15 at her shoe repair place, so he's got great prices. I also brought in a pair of boots with pretty beat up heels - I was worried he'd have to figure out some way to replace the heel completely, but he figured out how to cap them instead. He was even the one to suggest capping the heels for $8 instead of paying $20+ to cover the chipped parts. He also resoles, resizes, and shines shoes, and works with purses as well. Very reliable and always has your repairs ready for you in 2 or so days. read more

Horrible experience. First of all, they gave me a date when it would be ready and when I arrived it wasn't ready and they said it would be ready the next day (obviously forgot about it and worked on it the next day). Then, I arrived the next day and the paint job on the shoe wasn't 100 complete so I asked them to revise it. I gave them 1 week and a half since I went on vacation. I come back and they said the color came and it would be ready later that day (obviously another lie to work on it the same day). I come back later on the day and I get the shoe in worse condition then when they repainted it! They messed my shoe up with no solution to fix it. The guy just gave up. Waste of 3 weeks and nothing to show for it!!!!! DO NOT go to this shoe shop. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Michael's for at least 10 years now ~ the owner's name is actually Paul, a quiet unassuming man who is a master at his craft. Over the years I've taken Paul both women's & men's shoes, women's sandals, cowboy boots, women's dress boots, belts, purses and even a watch band that needed shortened. I have narrow feet and can't always find shoes that fit perfectly but Paul always solves that problem by inserting pads under the liner for extra cushioning. You can't even tell they're in there. He's also tightened & shortened straps on those sexy high-heeled sandals we all love to wear but hate our toes sticking out the sides of...he is a perfectionist. A brand new pair of black leather peep toe pumps were nearly ruined after I got caught in a freak rain storm but Paul was able to completely recondition them and they look as good as new. I also had a pair of bronzed high heel fabric dress sandals get trashed while in a restaurant (waiter dropped an entire tray of dirty dishes beside our table) - didn't think the stains would come out but Paul worked his magic and they look wonderful. Last month I challenged him with my Kenneth Cole black leather jacket - older & worn in but didn't want to get rid of it. Just starting to lose color around the cuffs from wear and along the front. So, I took it in to Paul and asked him if there was anything he could do to save it...why yes, he says! He can apply additional color to the areas that have started to fade from wear and feather it in to the rest of the jacket. I'm thinking this is going to be pricey but to my surprise it cost $30.00 and my little black jacket looks brand new but still feels worn in. Once again, Paul has come thru for me. So, if you are looking for the BEST place in the greater DFW area to take your shoes/boots/purses or whatever think of Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair first ~ and by the way, remember his name is Paul. :) read more

My shoes were given to someone else!! I went in on a Saturday morning to have a simple high heel cap replaced. The man at the counter didn't address me when I came in the door because he was speaking to a customer that came in to pick up his shoes. The credit/debit card machine was down which should have been my first clue. This customer had to leave without his shoes. I approached the counter and told him what I needed. He didn't confirm if he could do the work, he just asked for my info and asked if Tuesday would be ok. I had to ask to make sure he could do the work and at what cost. I came back not on Tuesday, but on Thursday on my lunch break with my ticket. He took a while in the back and then kept coming out to ask what my shoes look like. He came out and stated could not find my shoes. He went back for another look and told me he found the shoes under a bag and it would take 15 minutes to complete. I didn't have 15 minutes to spare and had to come back later. I came that evening and he did not remember me. I gave him my ticket again and he started asking what my shoes look like again. He eventually brought out a box with shoes that didn't belong to me. I told him these shoes weren't mine. He tried looking for the shoes again to no avail. He said he was going to look at his other store and would call me the next day. I waited all day and he never called. I had to call him and he told me that someone gave my shoes to another customer and they were trying to reach her. On Saturday, he called and stated my shoes were brought back in by the other customer. I came to get my shoes which he didn't charge me for, but there was zero attempt to retain my business or even provide much of a sincere apology for all of my troubles. I will never go back here, and I would warn anyone away. read more

I had a leather pair of tong sandals by Tory burch that I absolutely adore. Unfortunately, a dog decided to use it as a chew toy and chewed off a piece that attached the straps to the base. I didn't wear it for many years but then decided to get it fixed. Went here because it was close to work. They did a good job on the repair and it's held up since then, got it fixed in 2015. Looks brand new but repair cost was high. I got the shoes on sale and it almost cost as much to repair. But i doubt I will find it for that sale price again so overall I needed the repair. The repair cost was a tad high, it was about $26-30 to fix one shoe and not a pair. read more

I wish I'd remembered to take before photos, so to anyone thinking of having their leather shoes refinished here or anywhere else, please remember to do that! Otherwise, you'll have no proof of damage if it occurs. I brought my most treasured and once expensive leather boots to Michael's asking if all the scuffs could be removed, especially in the toe area. He inspected them and also suggested that he cut & replace the tip of the sole to make them last longer. For the refinishing of the entire boot to remove scuffs and the tip of the sole to be replaced, he quoted me just under $45 with a pick-up time of 4 business days, to which I agreed. Today, when I went to pick them up, he seemed to have forgotten all about the toe tip sole replacement, as he had only refinished the leather. He suggested the sole fix at the toe tip again, to which I said I thought we'd already agreed to do that, but I didn't want to leave the boots for another week. I just said "maybe I'll bring them back to do that". He charged me $20 for the work that was done. The boots looked a lot better and most of the scuffs were removed with a very good color match, however, there was just some damage that I guess couldn't be fixed. The reason for my one star review isn't just because I waited 4 days for basically a shoe shine, though. After I got back in my car and drove away, something caught my eye that I hadn't noticed in the shop. There was a hole in the leather on the inside of one of my boots near the top of the shaft that absolutely was not there when I dropped them off! I have no idea how to fix this so that it doesn't grow bigger, but I certainly won't be returning here. read more

I had a few pairs of "tow up" shoes I needed to get fixed but haven't found a shoe repair place to give my loyalty to. I turned to yelp for advice and noticed Michael's received glowing reviews and it was kind of on my way home from work. I dropped off a pair of boots and heels on a Monday and kept my fingers crossed they would turn out ok. We had a little mix up with the pickup day, but I ended up getting the shoes back within a week and they were in excellent condition. Michael even polished the scratches on my boots! It ended up being $24 total for both pairs of shoes, which I thought was pretty good. Some places charge a lot more for boot repair. I plan to take the rest of my ghetto shoe collection to Michael's in the near future! read more

After reading all those good reviews, I decided to take my Michael Kors shoes, boots & Nine West pump for repair. A long story make it short, I went by to pick it up when he told me to then the shoes weren't ready. So I went back few days later & found out they marked/ damaged the shoes. I pointed out why they over sanded the area where you can see the black mark on tan color sole, his answer was I should told him how I want the shoes to be repaired. I demanded they repair the damage they caused so I ended up leaving without my shoes & went back to pick it up. After 3 trips to this place, at the end I was able to remove cleaning shoes charge due to make me coming back twice. The owner was kind enough to remove that charge but I gave up pointing out the area they made didn't repair. I really don't want to bad mouth about this place but all I can say is... Never again... I looked at reviews for Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair *BEFORE* checking this place out. I was hopeful, and thought that I'd be getting great service. Nope! I read somewhere that they specialized in working with leather. That being said, I figured they wouldn't have much trouble with some leather steel-toed boots that I brought in. I *only* needed the zippers to be replaced. It couldn't have been that hard of a job.. So basically, this is how it went: I brought my boots in on my payday, I asked if the zippers on each boot could be replaced as I didn't like how "sticky" they were. (The zipper on one of the boots had split from a weak spot because the teeth on the zipper were loose and messed up.) He said it'd be a bit pricey, and I knew that going in. I mean, come on... they're leather boots, and the zippers to replace weren't all that short. I said it wasn't a problem, as I was expecting that to begin with. He said to come back in about a week, and they'd be ready. Since they were only zippers that were going to be replaced, I figured I'd ask and see if there was any way that I could pay a little more to get the service to be slightly rushed. He thought about it, hesitated, and then said no. I was okay with that! I essentially just wanted my boots in the end. So time goes by, and when they're ready I go to pick them up. The first thing I notice is that what I had asked him to do, hadn't been done at all. The same crappy, "sticky" zippers on my boots that were on there when I dropped them off, were still on them when I went to pick them up. I *wanted* them replaced for a reason. Because they had given me problems before, and I KNEW that they had to be replaced. He hands me over my boots, and shows that the (once split) zipper now "works". I almost lost it when he tried to zip them up with ease, and one of the zippers got stuck on the way up... really?... REALLY? He tells me: "We just repaired the zipper. To actually replace the whole thing would be around $60. It should work now." So I pay like $16 for the zipper repair, and take my boots back to my car to inspect them some more. Red flags were up... Upon further inspection, it looked like he had fixed the zipper. But it wasn't fixed at all. The zipper teeth were still loose in some spots, and it looked like one of the zipper teeth had actually been taken out. The zipper teeth didn't align perfectly, either. You know what it did? It created a weak spot in the zipper. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and a couple of wears later, and what happens?... The zipper split AGAIN where the weak spot was. I was pissed. I didn't bother going back to Michael's Boot & Shoe Repair to ask him to "fix" them again, because I HIGHLY doubt that the job would be done. Like I said, red flags had gone up when he handed me my boots and I saw that the same zippers were on there when I SPECIFICALLY asked for them to be replaced. I'd be really cautious if you're thinking about coming here to get a zipper replaced on your boots. There is another review on here from someone who had a similar problem when he wanted a luggage zipper to be replaced. I will never be coming back, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. I'm currently searching for a shoe repair shop that WILL do the job that needs to be done when asked. read more

Took my boots in to have the zipper fixed. Reasonable price. The new zipper did not last after putting them on the second time but when I went back to get them fixed, the owner was so nice about it and fixed them again for me that week. I gave them 5 stars because eof the great customer service and because of the hard to repair boot. I've taken two new pairs of high quality leather boots to Michael's to get the sole savers put on. The first pair came out looking great however, I am so disappointed with the second pair. The boots had a beautiful painted gold leather finish and one I picked them up, I noticed that there were marks of black paint all over the edges of the boots (from painting the soles black). Now the edges have permanent black markings that ruin the gold finish. I don't know much about shoe repair but I would think one would protect light colored shoes from being marked by paint. I am bummed about how the second pair came out and will take seek elsewhere for future services. read more

I went during business hours today (Saturday) just after 2pm to drop of a pair of heels, and they had a sign posted saying they would be back at 2:30pm. Annoying, but I waited. They didn't show up at 2:30pm. I waited about 10 more minutes and then went to a shoe repair business that was actually open. I understand employees need to take lunch, but you should manage customers' expectations about when you say you'll be back. Obviously they think their time is worth more than ours. read more

I took a piece of luggage in to them for a zipper replacement, we agreed upon a price and I left. When I went back in the store to pick up my luggage, they only repaired the zipper and charged me $55, the original agreement was to replace the entire zipper for $95.00. When I left the store the zipper fell apart again, so I went back in and gave him back the suitcase for repair again. After 1 month I got my suitcase back in basically the same condition as when I took it in originally. I would not take anything to Michael's for repair, their work ethic and honesty has a lot to be desired! read more
