I came to this urgent care expecting urgent care, but apparently I accidentally walked into a time dilation experiment. I'm pretty sure the waiting room exists in a different dimension where time moves slower than the rest of reality. Einstein would've loved this place. Based on my highly scientific observations, they process about one patient every 1.5 hours. At that pace, continental drift is a more efficient system. This place gets worse and worse each time I've gone. The last 4 times I've been they happily take my money and make you wait in the lobby for hours. I sat for 3hours and 45 minutes once. Given there was not anyone else waiting but me. On top of another hour of waiting in the actual doctor's room. I could hear the staff members laughing in the back as I waited. I had a swollen uvula and didn't think it was serious enough to see a doctor till I looked it up and it could be uvulitis. So I looked up Texas MedClinic Urgent Care. I walked in and filled out the forms and was seen within 45 minutes. The staff is super nice and very helpful. They got me in a room and took my vitals and then the doctor came in and was very nice. I was in and out within an hour. He prescribed my medication for a bacterial infection on my uvula and off I went. But the best thing is and I have never had even my doctor at home do, they called me the next day to make sure I was doing ok. Now how many doctor offices do that? This will be my go to urgent care if I ever need it again. Thank you again to all of the staff at Texas MedClinic urgent care. This has been the best location and the most thorough care I've received at a Texas MedClinic. Best piece of advice I can give is make an online appointment. The walk-in wait time can be upwards of 4+ hours. If you make an appt they will see you at your scheduled time. No additional waiting and you can fill out all the paperwork online to expedite the process. Made an online appointment for the following morning and was seen within 15 min. After getting bronchitis in the late summer I still had a persistent cough that lasted over a month later. Doctor ordered chest X-Rays which was conveniently done on site. Beth, the woman who did my X-Rays was fantastic. Friendly, sweet, and caring. X-Rays were clear from pneumonia but the doc wanted to send it over to a radiologist for a second opinion. His guess was allergy onset asthma. I left there with a prescription for meds, inhaler, and cough syrup and within a few hours the clinic called to check on me and let me know that the radiologist confirmed no pneumonia and probably allergy related asthma. The next afternoon the clinic called again to make sure I was feeling better (I was). I was impressed by the level of care from an urgent care clinic where they treat the immediate concerns but usually don't concern themselves with the patient too much. read more

not too sure how the staff was because I was too busy trying not to pass out. my appointment was at 2:30 and I arrived 15 minutes early. clearly that didn't matter because I ended up waiting another hour and 45 minutes to get pulled back. I was running a 103 fever and tested negative for everything but they decided they were going to "treat" me for Flu A and tell me to quarantine. 4 days later I had to go to the ER because once again I never broke my 103 fever and now I have 93/61 as my blood pressure. I ended up having pneumonia and I bacterial infection. I was interacting with staff here for maybe 20 minutes tops... I get it's an urgent care but do better read more

Do Not Take Children Here We went for a routine visit and had a terrible experience with our 11 year old child. So much so that we followed up with a complaint with the Texas Physicians Assistant Board. James Belcher provided terrible care and did not treat based on the symptoms presented. After feeling ill and finding out strep was going through my grandson's daycare, I then made an appointment online at TX Med Clinic and completed the registration. I went in before the appointment time and was taken back right away. Didn't have to wait at all. After taking my vitals and a strep test, Dr. Beshay came in to check me out and go over everything. I really appreciate the time she takes to address any questions and concerns. She is very caring and knowledgeable. TX Med Clinic is the place to go when you are ill and can't get a regular appt. with your PCP for months. read more

My 16 year old son was severely sunburned 48 hours ago and has been in pain with the blisters on his shoulders and back. When we got home from our vacation tonight, all of a sudden he said his blisters felt like something was stabbing or stinging him all over his back and shoulders under his skin! He was in so much agony he was screaming and crying and I haven't seen him cry since he was little. His back all of a sudden was not just blistered, but looked like it had some sort of allergic reaction with blotchy whelps too! My husband rushed him to this urgent care which was 30 minutes away. The woman up front told my husband there was nothing the doctor could do for him but give him aloe Vera. My husband tried to explain it was more than just the burn and wanted them to at least check him out but she assured him there was nothing they would be able to do. She said she asked the doctor. The woman at the front desk was: Dianna And the doctor was Dr. Pashay (spelling?) We were shocked that if we were willing to pay, we couldn't at least get an examination. We hope our son will be okay tonight. It was close to closing time and you could tell the girls were just ready to leave and not deal with us. UPDATE: We ended up having to take him to ER a couple hours later. They were able to treat him for a rare allergic reaction from the burns. read more

Happy I found this place! Saved me time & money by avoiding the E.R. Perfect for small emergencies like my broken finger. This Urgent Care has convenient late hours (8am-11pm), onsite X-rays, friendly staff, great doctors, and an efficient pre check-in system that you can do online before your visit. It even offers a reminder text so I could easily plan what time would be best to leave my house based on the wait time. Main waiting area is beautiful & clean and the building has a large lot with plenty of parking. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded...wait time was about 15-20 minutes. My wife and I arrived at around noon so she could receive x-rays on her foot. It was swollen and had shooting pain into her calf and we wanted to see if it was broken. We were told she would be 3rd to be seen and to wait in the lobby. As we are waiting, people are coming in and being seen before her. I understand the concept of triage but we just need x-rays and there is one x-ray tech on location. At this point, I ask again because 45 minutes have come and gone and my wife is sitting in the lobby with a throbbing foot. We are told we are next and she gets taken back to get vitals. We are then quickly asked to wait again in the lobby. As we are waiting, more people are seen in front of us and I ask what place she is in line. We are told we are next. Fast forward another 30 minutes and she is still in the lobby in serious discomfort. We are watching other patients go in front of us so at this point, I'm boiling over. I get an empty apology from the attendant in the front and I request a refund on the 75$ copay. How my wife was treated in this facility was absolutely shameful. I felt like we were being lied to from the beginning. If she wasn't going to be seen, then say so! Don't waste our time. We were in an empty lobby for 90 minutes while other patients were being moved to the back and receiving care. I will never go to, nor recommend anyone waste their time at this location. I'll be spreading the word about this joke of an urgent care everywhere I can. Poorly run, poor customer service and probably substandard care. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. read more

I saw them in person, been sick for a week with Covid symptoms. First day I felt like going. Covid was negative, but they did all kinds of other greats on me. They says they do not take Cigna, but since it was for Covid they did. I better not get a big bill for all the other things they did! I will be furious! Very nice PA and staff! I came to this urgent care a couple months ago to check out a bug bite I got and as soon as I arrived the front desk staff had a very poor attitude to start off the visit. She explained the pricing to me & I told them the price was fine & the lady immediately goes "if you want somewhere cheaper there's some other places" implying I wouldn't be able to afford it. After waiting I got sent to the room where I waited over an hour to be seen when there was no one else there when I checked in. The staff was in the hall having full on conversations before they even attempted to help me. Again today, my friend has been waiting to be COVID tested for over 2 hours now & a front desk staff looked at her and said "staring isn't going to make us see you faster" , the staff here in both experiences have been horrible. I would NOT recommend coming here unless you want to be talked down to the whole time. read more

1st Saturday visit was great. Staff listened, short visit (including labs), follow-up phone call and great advice for flying (while totally congested). Unfortunately, had to return 2 weeks later for stronger antibiotic - staff argued with me on what I needed...congestion was still 50% there, and cough would not go away (flying out again the next day). Finally received RX, and left. Guess level of service depends on who is working that day. Bill was double without any labs. I know with my work schedule, I may have no choice but return......very unhappy customer. read more

I went to the new location 1604 and potranco. Service is good. Staff is respectful and as quick as can be considering were still in a pandemic. Expect a wait especially during covid, but this is anywhere. You can sign in and have an option to get an alert if you leave. I was just happy to be seen. From the moment I entered the facility I knew the care was going to rate low. The heavy-set female was extremely rude, and not just to me, but to two other gentlemen in the facility. She definitely isn't front desk material, she had about as much personality as a box of rocks. I finally get called back by a male M.A. he was very professional and friendly, he took my information and it wasn't long the acting doctor on duty came in. We discussed everything that I was experiencing. I thought he would do blood tests and a chest Xray since I was having non-stop coughing and coughing/blowing blood, fever, chills, headache and sore throat. He informed it could be one of 3 things, but couldn't give me a definitive answer. He wrote an antibiotic and cough med script and sent me on my way. They sent my script into San Antonio instead of New Braunfels, we are retirement age and hate to drive that far at night, most especially into San Antonio, didn't take the time to tell me there was a closer Walgreens and offer that instead of CVS. He asked me which one did I prefer I told him it really didn't matter, just one that was the closest, because I wasn't feeling like riding that long. We finally arrive home at midnight. We will drive into New Braunfels from now on when we need an urgent care. If you don't mind generic diagnosis then this is the place for you! If I'm going to be charged top dollar I expect top rated service, and I definitely didn't receive that here! read more

They need several doctors in there. Tanisha was great. I was lucky enough to get myself an appointment for the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine. When we arrived the staff was very friendly with check in and answering any questions we had. As soon as we arrived we were helped, even though out appointment was at a later time (we arrived at 1:35 for a 1:55 appointment). When we were put in a room, they were very quick to deliver our vaccines, we only waited for a few minutes. I have a huge fear of needles and Tanisha was very nice about the whole thing. She was a great conversationalist and made me feel relaxed about the whole thing. She did my vaccine very quickly and made sure everything was okay while we waited. Highly recommend getting a COVID vaccine at Texas MedClinic if you can. read more

So glad this clinic is open until 11 PM! I arrived around 9:30 and was the only one there. They helped check me in and get me to back a room within 30 minutes. You can check in online, get an approximate time for callback or check in at the clinic and come back at your time for service! Dr. Miller was super sweet and sent in a RX to Boerne Walgreens 24 hour pharmacy so I could get relief quick. I was in and out in less than an hour. Lifesaver! read more
