Butter Chicken Momo & Veggie Samosas

Great, friendly service at Texas Momo Taqueria (name changing to Masala Grill & Momo soon). It's great with Mango Lassi yogurt drink! All natural ingredients and no MSG. Butter Chicken Momo's are great on a cold day! A great hidden gem in Haltom City, a great escape from the ordinary.

I ordered Nepal food, Wow I ate all my food and didn't even have a chance to take a picture ! It was sooo good! Order lamb tacos , lamb w/rice and chicken tiki Marsala !!!

I came back with…read moretempered expectations and was pleasantly surprised -- this visit was a completely different experience. The food quality was noticeably improved. The steak was cooked correctly, flavorful, and much closer to what you expect when you walk into a long-standing Texas steakhouse. Sides were hot, fresh, and felt intentional rather than an afterthought. It finally tasted like a place that knows what it's trying to be. Service was also a big step up. Attentive, friendly, and much more organized than before, which made the meal relaxed instead of frustrating. The pacing felt right, and we didn't have to chase anyone down for basics. The atmosphere is still classic Hoffbrau -- casual, old-school, and comfortable -- and this time it worked in their favor. I'm glad I gave them another shot. While there's still room to grow, this visit earned a solid 4 stars and restored some confidence. I'll actually be back again, which I didn't think I'd say after my first visit.

I ordered the king burger with ranch for my fries but wasn't asked about burger condiments. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese, but the bun was undressed and without the ranch for my fries. I asked twice, but it never came. By the time our waitress checked in, my husband had finished and I hadn't touched my food. I asked for ranch again when asking for a to-go box, it arrived on the third request. Disappointing service and lack of follow-through, though the steak was a highlight.

This is our go-to when we come back from trips. Nothing says home like a country kitchen…read more We often get the breakfast chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes or homefries and eggs. Most recently we opted for some pancakes . Overall the quantity you get for the price is good but the overall quality is not always consistent. The first time we came my husband had piping hot mashed potatoes while mine were almost cold on one side. The next time we came the fries were no longer home fries but just your regular frozen variety. The time after that, one of the chicken fried steaks was a little gummy at the bottom, probably from an uneven fry. This is not to say everything else is bad, they just seem to have an inconsistent cook. Pancakes are good though. Service is typically okay, just like anywhere it depends on your server. If you happen to be seated in a... non assigned area... you may not get the most attentive service and flagging down a different server will just have to do. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. They also serve pies, giant cookies, and brownies. I do recommend really looking at the pies since the servers don't always know what's in the fridge, so when they say "thats a lemon pie' you may end up with a Buttermilk slice like we did. The brownies are also... not good... so I really don't recommend them. They don't really taste like anything... Overall an okay country kitchen, not overly bad but also not the best. They could use some tweaks and better quality control.

The woman at the counter was extremely helpful and patient with us as we ordered. We ended up with a 1/4 Philly, a cow town burger, a full catfish, 5 hot wings, and the fried pickles. I really liked the burger and Philly but they do lightly dress everything so we ended up adding a little bit more mayo at home. The hot wings were well made with a very vinegar based buffalo hot sauce while the fried pickles were absolutely delicious. They tasted like best maid pickles and I'm a sucker for those! The rand is made in house and was also very well made. The catfish was good but the breading was definitely on the saltier side, paired with tartar sauce it wasn't too bad. All in all we're definitely coming back!

I have frequented this restaurant since its inception. Originally it was outstanding in every aspect. We adored the owners and grieved when they sold due to personal health. Consecutively... with each ownership change and consistently... with food quality, the high standard has diminished... UNTIL NOW!!! Ownership has changed. Management has changed. Waitstaff has changed. Decor has changed. Ambiance has changed. Methods have changed. And most importantly, the food has changed! Peruvian/Indian cuisine ... and the new image includes but is not limited to the following noticeable positives... Their dedication to excellence is obvious upon entering the restaurant. Greetings abound. Additionally, you will be surprised by the facelift! Including its future purpose. It will excite you. There's an immeasurable level of courtesy exuding from all affiliated persons ... waitstaff shows a rare enthusiasm for customer satisfaction that demonstrates genuineness... and it's touching to see. The manager... well... he's destined for greatness. You'll make him an honorary member of your family... you'll adopt him... you'll want to have him become your best friend and lifelong companion You'll exchange phone numbers to stay in touch! This gentleman knows exactly what he's doing and he's brilliant at it! But the food... you'd be a fool not to go there 3 days starved and gorge yourself with more than just a taste... of everything! Lastly... I usually plan for about an hour per restaurant, even if it's crowded or if the service is annoyingly slow... but here? I would never have believed that I'd actually spend 3.5 hours in a restaurant simply chatting with the affiliated people... in full... each and every one... and not notice a second's passing. I'm amazed. So go there! I insist.

The staff is entirely different, and while the food is okay, it no longer has the quality or flavor it once did. The buffet selection has become noticeably limited compared to what it used to be, there were far more options under the previous owners. The layout also feels awkward, with tables positioned so close to the buffet that it's almost like dining on display. I preferred eating where I wanted out of the way of people coming and going from the buffet. It's disappointing to see how much has changed, especially since this used to be one of our favorite spots. I truly hope the new owners can bring back some of the variety and quality that once made this place special. Until then, we won't return. And a correction to my last review from several years ago, they do have red meat, just not beef. Understandable.
