I love this place so much, especially after living in NYC and having access to some of the best Indian food in the world. Maharaja is just as good as many of the places on Indian Road in New York City. This evening we ordered for delivery, the lamb tiki masala and the buttered chicken. Also had a side of naan bread and two Samosas. They were absolutely exquisite, as well as the tamarind chutney to dip the Samosas in (one of my fav things to do). Everything was cooked perfectly. There's only a few choices for Indian food in Fort Worth and this is the best in my opinion. We picked it up to-go and everything was packed well except our Raita was in the bag with all the hot foods and got too hot and watery. Their Goat Biryani is top tier! The meat was tender and juicy. It's 1 mile from the hospital we were at. Buffet for $16 and yes, worth the lunch rate! This place is tucked away in a shopping center but don't worry, it's got plenty of charm once inside! My sister and niece love Indian food. My MIL likes it too so I simply steered her clear of any dairy. We were seated immediately, ordered drinks and hit the buffet! Round 1. Plate filled with samples of most things. The samosa seemed a little dry but still tasted great dunked into tamarind sauce. I loved the beef jalfrezi, very tender. Spicy chickpeas and Tandoori chicken. Round 2. Plain rice with cumin seeds, more jalfrezi, curried veggies were surprisingly good. The meat kebab was great too! Go there. Get some! Have not tried their Ayce buffet, but we've been here about 6+ times for dinner. We order the same things everytime we go.... Nan bread, chicken (brown) curry, and tandoori chicken. I would say 80% of the time, the food is great. A few times, the tandoori chicken was too dry. However, the last 2 times we've went, it was very good...great actually. I feel like when it's not good, we got leftovers from the day before that got reheated and so dried up...or maybe we got food from buffet earlier in the day. If you had a bad experience, perhaps give it another try...we did not regret coming back. read more

The butter chicken has an off flavor it's not quite right, also the mint chutney was not good it was more spicy than refreshing minty flavor. This place seems to have a large take-out. Anyway - we ordered 3 meals, some garlic naan and some beer. The bear came fast and was cold. In fact, the food was out pretty fast as well. The naan was a little crispy / slightly burnt but not worth asking for it to be replaced. The taste wasn't remarkable. The 3 dishes we had were okay, but just okay. Nothing remarkable at all. And we've had a lot of Indian food in many places in the US. The food here was just pretty average. Now - it was our first time here and we only tried 3 of the many dozens of dishes they have on the menu. I am sure, with time, we could find a couple of dishes that we feel are done really well. The atmosphere here is always relaxing and the staff is always attentive to their customers. The food is always spectacular, delicious, and fresh. Whether it's the buffet, or carry out, it's always good. I've been going there for over 8 years and it's only gotten better. My go to's are the chicken tikka masala with rice, and spring rolls.
