Wow, what excellent food! The waitress was very helpful with suggestions! We got there right when they opened, so we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was very nice and the place was very clean! We got Chicken 65, Shrimp Tandoori, steamed Chicken Momo, a lamb curry meal that had many sides (don't remember the name), and something else paneer of some type. I ordered a lot! We recently ate here again after some time away and learned that the restaurant is under new ownership since Covid. Unfortunately, the change has not been for the better. The staff is entirely different, and while the food is okay, it no longer has the quality or flavor it once did. The buffet selection has become noticeably limited compared to what it used to be, there were far more options under the previous owners. The layout also feels awkward, with tables positioned so close to the buffet that it's almost like dining on display. I preferred eating where I wanted out of the way of people coming and going from the buffet. It's disappointing to see how much has changed, especially since this used to be one of our favorite spots. I truly hope the new owners can bring back some of the variety and quality that once made this place special. Until then, we won't return. And a correction to my last review from several years ago, they do have red meat, just not beef. Understandable. read more

Was hoping for a nice buffet, but was disappointed in the selections. Only 3 people at lunch time including myself may have been the reason. Not at all like the pictures posted 3 months ago. Might be better to not have a buffet if it's this limited. The flavors and taste were nice and authentic. No butter chicken- if its your go too. I would order for take out but never the buffet again. $17 was crazy for such minimal items. (See photos) I liked the Saag Chicken, Murg Mahkni, and lamb meatballs. Everything else was blah. You can't see the restaurant from the road, it's hidden behind Walgreens which may also contribute to the minimal buffet. The interior was average and looks like it's been around a while. Saw this across the street from Walgreens and decided to try it out. Very large inside! But very welcoming. Cute little lady at the front was super friendly and helpful. The food was AMAZING. I have recommended it to all my friends and we are planning to attend one of their buffets soon. I got butter chicken, spice level hot, and it was SOOOO GOOD. A Haltom Hidden Gem! Indian Kitchen is tucked in behind Walgreens and Taco Bell on the southeast corner of Beach and Western Center...I had not visited since the original owners several years ago. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the lunch buffet today. The cuisine had "layers of flavor" that I have not experienced outside a favorite restaurant in Irving that is now closed. The chai that I had with lunch was delicious, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. I look forward to my next visit, and to having such great Indian food so close to home! read more

Change of ownership. We loved this place before. This time I ordered Chicken Biryani and Pappadum. The Biryani and bones in it and the rice was not fully cooked. The papadum was greasy. This was a delivery so I called the resturant and because of the packaging and dish quality, I asked about new ownership and it was confirmed. I explained the problem with the food and offered to bring it back. I was told don't worry about it a refund will be issued. My mistake, I believed what they told me. The food, and my money was wasted because they did NOT refund my money. My guess would be the majority of the good ratings are from. They are generous and explained dishes I didn't know. I love butter chicken but, they didn't have it on the buffet. The kind food server explained they had Murg (?) chicken instead. As a result I have gone to another Indian restaurant where the atmosphere is a lot nicer and the food is good. The waitress was super nice and friendly. My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for a long time, especially for the buffet. We recently heard that the ownership had changed, but even after that, we came back because we always enjoyed the friendly service. The young lady who usually serves us has always been extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming, she always makes sure everything is good, checks on us and adds personal touch to our visits. However, during our last two visits under the new ownership, things have gone downhill. The food was quite oily, and the service seemed short-staffed. Today, we waited for a Naan bread about 15 minutes there was only one girl serving, and the restaurant was quite busy. Even then, she was doing her best to take care of everyone with a smile. What really broke my heart was seeing that same smiling, cheerful girl looking upset and even crying today. She has always been one of the reasons we kept coming back, and it was really sad to see her like that. We waited around 15 minutes just to check out because she was the only one handling everything, taking orders, serving, and managing payments. It was clear she was under a lot of pressure. I felt so bad for her. The management really needs to do better -- both in supporting their staff and improving the customer experience. Dropped in on the Indian Kitchen for a quick lunch. It was definitely fast and the quality of the food and service was very good. We were greeted by a nice young man that got us started and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good. We did the lunch buffet and the quality was good. You can tell all the food was homemade and was made with love. The chicken marsala and butter chicken was very good with a little hint of spice. The tandoori chicken was also great. The curries and the soups were good as well. There was a hot basket of Nan waiting for us at the table. Good quite joint that allowed us to enjoy our conversation. Finally tried this gem and yum! We started with chicken pakora (fried chicken bites) which were perfectly crispy and tender on the inside. They come with an assortment of sauces to put on including the mint chutney green sauce which is my favorite. We ordered lamb vindaloo, chicken kadahi with bell peppers and onion and then a mixed veggie dish. Everything came out so delicious!! We can't wait to come back. New ownership obviously doesn't care about quality. My wife and I have eaten here many times in the past and this restaurant was our go to for Indian cuisine. Unfortunately we will never eat here again. We ordered the Shrimp Tikka Masala, lamb Biriyani, two orders of vegetable Samosas, and Paratha. The rice was undercooked and lamb was overcooked and dry. The shrimp that they are using now are a joke and by no means worth $20 after tax. It's the same shrimp they put in the styrofoam cup of noodles and the masala was stale. They have also cut the order of Samosas in half and selling them as a regular order. I am utterly disappointed with the direction this restaurant has went since the new ownership. They have lost loyal customers and I am pretty sure we aren't the only ones dissatisfied! They obviously are trying to save money but you don't charge the same price for less food read more

We LOVE Indian Kitchen!! My boyfriend and I always get the medium-spice Chicken Tikka Marsala, and it has become our favorite date night meal. The Chicken Tikka is perfectly spicy and wonderfully cooked, and you can tell that they make their food with love. We get the Cheese Naan and Garlic Naan, which are both awesome. The Cheese Naan is my favorite, and I literally dream of it! The staff are SO kind and treat us like family every time we go. They are truly so sweet and friendly, and they remember us every time we come in! They told us that they've struggled to get people to eat in since COVID, but that their carry-out/delivery is always busy. I hope you consider visiting them in-restaurant the next time you order from here, the service is wonderful and we always leave our meal so satisfied! Went here for the lunch buffet and it was delicious! Pretty good selection. A little small but had most of the things I wanted. Everything I had was great. The butter chicken was fantastic. I wish they would have had palek paneer and more sauces/chutneys. I'm a bit timid when it comes to spice and everything I tried was a good level and not too overpowering. The veggie samosas were crispy and flavorful. The naan was plain but still so good. Perfect texture and fresh. I'll definitely come back for the buffet and do take out other times. The dinner buffet was OK. No major complaints, but no major kudos either. My favorite items were the naan, stir fried vegetables, paneer, and onion pakora. I also really liked that they offered some chai tea. It was very good and appeared to be prepared traditionally with spices steeped in milk. My hubby told me that the curry goat was tender and delicious. The rest of the dishes were just OK. Most items simply lacked flavor. The desserts were a big let-down. I suspect that the rice pudding was leftover from the lunch buffet. It tasted "old" and lacked flavor. The gulab jamun also tasted old and burned. Our dirty plates were cleared quickly and our water glasses were kept full. The restaurant was clean and the buffet was laid out well. The parking lot is huge. I doubt I'll return. I love Indian food, but there are restaurants in the vicinity that offer better tasting food. read more

The reason i'm giving this place 3 stars is that it was slim pickings. out of all the indian buffets i've been to in the past, they always had palak paneer, but this place had tikka paneer masala instead. don't get me wrong, the tikka masala sauce was good, but it just wasn't the same. They also had chicken tikka masala (which is a staple for all indian buffets). they also had some chicken dishes and rice dishes. the most enjoyable thing was the samosa. this place is hard to see from the main street. Its kinda hidden back behind the papa johns / walgreens. maybe i went on a off day... but considering it was Saturday afternoon for lunch, i figure they would have more options. They do give naan, but it was just alright. maybe if they offered garlic naan, i might bump it up to 3.5 stars. read more

This is a middle of the road type of buffet. It would be below average if it was a Chinese buffet. This location has plenty of parking. This place is never that busy so you will be able to be served immediately. The buffet selection is small. Brownie points for them having the vegetarian and meat selections separated. The food is hit or miss and some of the selections are not as warm as they should be. I wouldn't mind visiting this place for $10. It will be a while before I visit again. read more

Very very disappointed with my experience at this location. We did a post funeral event here, and we had an agreed upon price with the owner for certain food. We were told all the other lunch food would be put away. Instead, he left out the lunch food, and a small portion of the guest took the non- veg food. Due to this, he tried to charge us $6 more a plate for EVERYONE. We agreed it would be put up. He lied and said he refilled the non-veg food. After an event that was one of the saddest days of our lives, we had to deal with someone deceitful. Next time, do what was asked and don't try to con people out of money after the fact. We alway look for Indian places to use for events and we will never use them again. read more

I ordered for four people on door dash and none of our orders arrived correctly. I received the wrong soup, two of my friends did NOT receive rice when their orders came with it, and another friends meal was the wrong spice level. We ordered the same thing, except mine was hot and she ordered mild due to gastrointestinal issues, and they tasted the same. (which was very hot). Overall, super disappointing experience.
