    Lunch Buffet
    Hannah N.

Words cannot describe how thrilled I am that there is an Indian restaurant in this area. And they offer a lunch buffet?! I literally went to try them out the next day after I saw this place on Yelp only to find that they close on Tuesdays. Learn from my mistake and go back the next day. That's exactly what I did! It's a small and cozy space that used to occupy a pizza joint. We were greeted immediately walking in and seated promptly. There was a nice variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes on the buffet along with a couple of rice options as well as naan. I thought they had just enough options to fulfill an Indian food craving. I enjoyed my meal. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Quick summary: delicious food and great service! I came at dinner time to this new restaruant. The buffet ends at 2:30PM, then the restaurant reopens at 4PM for dinner. I love that the dinner menu is extensive and has many items that I've never experienced. The Soya Chaap Masala and Tandoori Chicken were stand out dishes. They were served still sizzling hot on cast iron platters. I chose a medium hot spice level, but next time I will go a level up. The very nice young lady waiting on us brought some mango and mint chutney, which perfectly complimented both dishes. Neither dish needed additional flavor, but I do enjoy a good chutney and wanted to try them. We also enjoyed garlic naan and paneer kulcha. The breads were light, fluffy perfection. Service was stellar. We felt so very welcome and appreciated. A combination of great service and food always creates a good ambiance. Finally, a nice restaurant in this area! I'm very excited to try more dishes and try the lunch buffet. The restaurant is in the strip right next door to a McDonalds.

Outstanding lunch buffet. Greeted by very friendly staff, there are 10 or so dishes to choose from along with sides like rice and naan. Everything tasted fresh, great flavors, great aromas. Definitely will be back. Very nice dining room set up, complete with nice table cloths.

Had take out from here the other night and stopped in for the lunch buffet today. I can say this is my favorite Indian restaurant n the area now. The service is perfection as is the ambiance. I feel welcomed by the hospitality that I've grown to love. This place is a complete delight with delicious food.

Dosa w/chicken curry - pretty good, love all the chutney sauces that came with it, the chicken curry was good too! Reminds me of karaahi chicken, on the oily side and nice spice 5/5 Saag Paneer - this one was okay, a bit too blended for my liking. I prefer Saag Paneer with chucks of spinach in it, and it wasn't as creamy as I would hope 3/5 Garlic Nan - not bad, but not lbuttery enough. The chunks of garlic is there but the smell of the nan is missing that nice aroma of garlic oil/butter 4/5 Tikka Masala - delicious, a lot of sauce, not that much meat but flavoring was nice and spicy. Good for children 8 years and older 5/5 Butter Chicken Masala - good curry, also not that much meat but curry was nice. I think their Tikka taste better tho, this style of butter chicken is not my favorite, I am searching for the creamy style like "Our Place" in Irving. 4/5 Overall I like it. I think it's the best we have so far for Fort Worth, but I think it is a fusion. I do think there is some nepalese flavors mixed in. Overall 4/5

Well, I went in on a Saturday afternoon and I ordered my food to-go at 2:55pm. I even ordered a mango lassi to have while I wait. And boy did I wait. Our food was not ready until 3:39. Further more, there was a gentleman who was also waiting a long time for his food and he was given a *free* mango lassi because of his long wait time. I had to pay 8 bucks for mine, not caring that it was close to an hour to have the food ready. I do not care how the food taste, they should probably hire more staff.

Unfortunately, something seems to have changed over the last six months to a year. The portions have gradually gotten smaller, and the sauces taste noticeably different. When we asked about it once, we were told it depends on who's cooking that day, which is understandable, but the inconsistency became hard to ignore. The smaller portions, however, have been quite consistent. Toward the end of our visits there, it felt like we were getting mostly sauce with very little meat, which is disappointing for a place we used to rave about. We're now on the search for a new Indian restaurant to take the spot of what was once one of our absolute favorites.

We've eaten here 3x now, and it's always great tasting food. But the service was really slow, while only just two tables had diners. ( us and another couple) then a few to go orders while we waited . Yes, it's Christmas Day holiday so I can be forgiving with being slow. I get that, but ... The thing that rubbed me wrong the most was the waitress only wanted to bring one togo container for all 4 four plates of food . Like we were just going to slap it all together like pig slop. We had to specifically ask for four seperate containers. They also brought one foil wrap for the leftover Naan for two couples . So we mixed ours with our daughter and her boyfriend . Needless to say we didn't get any of it . I'd go back, but they surly need to train the waitress better. Maybe, it's a tradition in India to not have ice with a water, but is a little off-putting especially when the drink menu is so limited . It's a small place only for accommodating small parties. The dine in experience leaves a lot to be desired.

I thought maybe it was because of takeout, so I decided to dine in before leaving a review. This time, I went to the restaurant and ordered the momo platter (fried, kothe, steamed, and chili momo). The chili momo was a no-go for me since it was mixed with ketchup, making it too sweet and overpowering. The rest were just okay, not bad, but lacking flavor. The wrap is too thick and the two achars (red chili and regular momo achar) were also pretty average. I also tried the jhol momo, but again, the momo wasn't juicy or flavorful, and the achar was just mid. Dining in didn't change much from my takeout experiences. Unfortunately, our takeout experience fell short of expectations. I ordered the butter chicken, and while the flavor was okay, there was hardly any chicken in it. My husband's dish had the same issue; more sauce than substance. The Aloo Gobi was flavorful (probably the highlight of the meal), but the portion was small and noticeably heavier on potatoes than cauliflower (there was one large piece of cauliflower we split) and maybe 5 chunks of potato. For the price, the portions were disappointing. Even my Nepalese friend, who usually speaks highly of this place, was surprised by how little we received. I understand the restaurant leans more toward Nepalese specialties than Indian classics, but for what we paid, it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it's a shame. The food had potential, but the value wasn't there. I really wanted to love this place, but I don't think we'll be back. I can't speak for the interior as it was take out. And I will say despite my food complaint, at pick up, the staff were kind.

The layout also feels awkward, with tables positioned so close to the buffet that it's almost like dining on display. It's disappointing to see how much has changed, especially since this used to be one of our favorite spots.
