After a so-so Uber eats experience I decided to pay this place a visit .that was an excellent decision They have a very rich Lebanese buffet with so many great dishes - skewers , kebab , shawarma , spinach pies , veg dishes - you name it . Incredible food! The kabobs are cooked to order and the kafta was some of the best I've ever had. Also hot fresh pita bread is great. I went for the lunch buffet and was blown away. I just want to let everybody know here , that this is Not the place to Vent . I feel if you have nothing nice to say , keep it in your purse . Because no one knows what happens to these Businesses when people come here and destroy things. So many times I went out and I had bad experiences, with slow service ,or the waitress forgot to get us refill etc. What I usually do , I would talk to the owner personally Aside , or get his phone number and I would try to point out the things that happens with me , instead Ruining his life . My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Byblos in Fort Worth this past Saturday. This was our first visit and I wanted to point out that we received excellent service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and promptly seated. Our server arrived quickly with our drinks and appetizers. I don't recall the name (Marios clarified it was called Aramish) but that appetizer was fully of wonderful spices and a very flavorful olive oil for dipping. Our main courses were outstanding - the kabobs are tasty and the lamb shank (sorry photo did turn out well) was savory and delicious. Overall the meal was relaxed and we never felt rushed or hurried. The food was excellent wow! There is a pic of the appetizer below. I don't even remember what I had but the flavorings were just what I had hoped for in a Levantine place. Lebanese wine was also very good. Waitress was excellent. We had a late lunch there and the place was quiet and empty, but they have belly dancers on weekends and hooka. We were able to park right out front on the street, although most parking is around back. It's north of downtown, a redeveloping area, with many interesting and quirky independent businesses. I've been going to Byblos since I was a little girl. After moving away for a long time then returning to DFW, I was SO thrilled that Byblos is still around. This location has been in operation since the 70's, but the Hadary family has run Lebanese restaurants since the 40's - both in Fort Worth and Lebanon. I cannot emphasize enough how authentic and high quality every item of food on the menu is. You will not find another Lebanese restaurant nearby with many of the menu items, and definitely not with the level of care they put into each item. Their flavors are unmatched. If you're stopping by for the first time, I highly recommend trying something you're unfamiliar with. The Suujuk is like kofta, but made from spicy sausage. Moussaka is a Lebanese staple, but not found at restaurants very frequently - theirs is outstanding. If you love Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food, Byblos is absolutely worth the time to check out (Also, make sure and eat in or order delivery from their website - we can't let third party delivery companies take money from our local treasures anymore!) read more

Well now, I finally got to try this place out after hearing about it over and over and over by my fiancé. This place has been here for many years and I just never thought about going in and trying it out. Today was the day and I wonder why it took me so long! Weekdays have buffets. The variety was great, the meat was phenomenal, the desserts were to die for. They even had Rose water! I gobbled down this food like no one's business and enjoyed every bite from the naan ( I think that's what it's called?), the tasty hummus, lamb and the chicken in rice! My daughter and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and decided to do so one Thursday afternoon. We arrived after the lunch buffet and before dinner so no other customers were present. My daughter was treating and chose the sampler so that we could get a bit of most of the popular dishes. The food arrived quickly which wasn't a good sign...We loved the warm pita, mousaka and hummus. The tabouli wasn't good at all and was dry. The kebabs were warm as if warmed in a microwave and led me to believe that leftover was warmed up from the buffet. However, I highly recommend for lunch! I guess expectations, are lower. They have a buffet, with all their Mediterranean favorites, soup, salad, numerous desserts. It's all very good too. The $15 price, which includes a drink, is so reasonable. You help yourself, even to drinks (this eliminates the service aspect) and it can be as quick or as long as you need it to be. I called them on a whim about their halal status and an employee confirmed that all of their beef and lamb items are halal! The chicken shish kabob is the only halal chicken item. We ordered a large spicy sausage pizza and it was great! The zaatar on top also added so much flavor. My only complaint is that there was so much oil, it was literally dripping. We went to Byblos for the first time tonight and it was absolutely amazing! Marios, the owner, was our waiter. He was such a sweetheart and seemed so passionate about his business and his food. I've come here for a casual dinner and I did my birthday dinner here. I was expecting to order off the menu for dinner and not the buffet, so it was a bit confusing. The buffet did look good but it was $22 per person and I didn't want to spring that on my friends if they were expecting like $15 or so. I got my fill of dolmas, baba ganoush, hummus, pita bread, and kebabs. The food was so good! I used to eat Mediterranean food a lot more when I used to live in Houston, but I hadn't a lot of luck in Fort Worth. I will definitely be coming back here when I have a craving. I was in Fort Worth for a conference and one of my co-workers was staying at the airbnb above the restaurant, which is owned by the owner of Byblos. Today was our second experience at Byblos. Our first time was a date night; we ordered off the menu and the food was great. I got the vegetarian platter and asked to sub baked falafel for fried and they accommodated. Our waitress was super sweet. My husband enjoyed what he ordered as well, but I forget what he got. It came with cabbage salad and he commented about it being surprisingly flavorful. We both also ordered vegetable soup and it was delicious! We ended the meal with Turkish coffee. It was a delightful experience. Today, we wanted to try the lunch buffet. We arrived at 1:20 and they were still regularly replacing buffet items. The cold bar was amazing - so many great vegetarian and vegan options, and all of them were very very good. On the hot bar, almost nothing was labeled, but most of it looked like it had meat in it - great for meat eaters but I would have loved to have an additional vegetarian option other than falafel. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Another vegetarian option or two would make this hands down my favorite Mediterranean buffet at a fair price. Otherwise, I would hope for a slight discount on the standard price since we primarily only ate off the cold bar and had (wonderful, hot) pita and rice. All in all - we will definitely be back. While I like to take my time to eat and enjoy the local entertainment that they provide on occasion, I do not want to have to wait over 30 minutes to get an additional beverage ordered. Food is edible, I really do not like the buffet but at times this was all that was available. Had a disappointing experience at the hookah lounge as well. Trouble with the hookah as well. The flavors were weak and the bowl did not preform as one would expect. The wait staff is not very inviting or courteous.
