We were really excited to have a dinner here. We have a larger group of 8 people and it's off season so it's a little slower so we had no problem getting a table (surprisingly). I will cut to the chase and list the biggest issue we had during the dinner. The service. The server we had never told us her name and the whole interaction felt like she'd rather be elsewhere but helping us. Somebody at the party tried to say something funny to lighten the mood and break the ice but it wasn't reciprocated. The bottle of vine arrived to the table pre-opened and we had to pour our own glasses. To be honest, this is the first time in my experience. In every restaurant I've dined at AND worked at, the bottle is always opened table-side and the first glasses are poured by a server. An item somebody from our party ordered ran out and they never got offered anything as an alternative, when they made a selection themselves, it turned out that it was also unavailable. Our entree (buffalo ribeye) came out cold both in the center and the outside. The quail was nice and hot. We let our server know about it, but the whole interactions was very short and dry. I don't think it would hurt to say "I'm sorry, let me fix that for you." When it returned back to us, the quail was cold. At that point I didn't say anything because we already waited for a while. The steak was pretty plain and they didn't bring butter with it after up-cook. The annoying part about it is that there's an automatic gratuity of 20% regardless, because of a large party. However, the service we received, sadly, was not worth 20% of the bill. The way the check arrives is also very outdated. I don't know the reason for it but it doesn't help, really, as it's hard to read what was ordered and no breakdown of the drinks ordered -- just the total amount. The good things I have to say is: life music was really nice and the waiting area was nicely decorated. I truly wish I had more good things to say since we were looking forward to this dinner.

We did have a 30 min wait once we got there. It was okay to us because we got to enjoy the fire place while waiting. Which felt amazing & cozy: Once we got our table we had peanuts at the table and waitress got our drinks & brought us bread almost immediately. We got some cheese sticks for appetizers & they tasted good. We both got ribeye steaks his was a thicker cut so it took awhile for them to cook it in the middle they brought it out 3 times and the 3rd time was good. Mine tasted better than his did. Mine was the 10oz his was 16oz I think. Baked potato's was our side choice not too bad at all. Also came with a choice of soup or salad. I got a salad & he got the chicken noodle soup. Both tasted good. Now this place is more on the expensive side for some. I got sweet tea which was light in color so really couldn't taste the tea much and he got double Jameson and coke.

Definitely one of my favorite places in Red River. Service at the bar was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. The decor was authentic and prices were fair for a resort town. Everything we ordered was great. The salad was fresh and our burgers were huge and tasty. On our second visit here they had live music that was phenomenal.

Ok. You should come try it at least for the history and experience. It is a very cute old building with some charming touches. FYI they do Not split checks for groups. We ordered chicken noodle soup, and prime rib (rare). The soup was good, their bread is good, the prime rib was good (a tad over cooked for me but still ok)....but nothing I couldn't cook better really. Again, go for the experience if nothing else, but don't expect your socks to be knocked off. I forgot to take other photos. The service I will say was very good, just meh food wise.

Food was adequate, service was great, however management was rude and condescending. We wil never eat there again.

The steaks were pretty good and was surprised by this creamy green chili with chicken soup. We also liked the bread they served beforehand.

They have a beautiful screen, however they play random movies and there isn't a start time. (They should announce a movie at a specific time, and allow patrons to decide if they want to arrive in time to view it or not). They have areas set up social style as if you're sitting in your living room, and traditional table settings. The social areas are very nice and trendy. A different vibe for a small town. The Waitress was really nice, and even packaged our leftovers for us. Food Review: CHICKEN WINGS - deep fried with red chile and bbq sauce on the side. The wings are good but the sauce is nasty. Get the sauce on the side because it isn't good at all. The taste is bland, watered down and lacks basic flavor. CAESAR SALAD - fresh, crisp greens, topped with a nice amount of caesar dressing, shreds of parmesan cheese. very good and tasty. Service: The restaurant was struggling a bit with a busy evening, but they did not miss a beat when it came to service! They informed our group of 8 that things were going to take a bit longer, which was fine by us! They came by to check in on the group to make sure our drinks were flowing! I appreciated that the owners took the time to introduce themselves to every table, and even helped out bussing and delivering dishes when their servers were busy! The owners were so friendly and very passionate about the restaurant. You can tell by the quality of the dishes here. Food: The food was absolutely spectacular! I did not expect much coming here, but my mind was blown away! Each and every person in our group raved about the dish they ordered so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu! For starters, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, and meatballs to share. For those in the group that were veggies-adverse, the Brussels sprouts were still a hit! The meatballs were so juicy, and flavorful. I'd order both dishes again. I ordered the smoked chicken quarter. The chicken was so tender and seasoned impeccably. The sweet potato puree was the star for me. My husband kept stealing some of the sweet potato puree from my plate! It was so good! I stole some of my husband's order of the meatloaf. It tasted so good...you cannot go wrong with that one either! Some of our group even went back here the next day to try their brunch menu!
