    Brisket meal
    Scott G.

Busy but a short wait for a table at lunch time. Chips and salsa were decent but the BBQ was really good! I was impressed. The brisket was thick, tender, and tasty! BBQ sauce was a nice addition. Best of all was the butter pecan beer - incredible! Service was decent and the seating outside was nice and comfortable. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food.

    NOT Kraft macaroni

Meh. That's what the first syllable of menu is, right? First and probably only timers coming to RRBC. It's midday, mid July. Not terribly busy, so why is it hard for us to get refills on our drinks? Servers keep walking by, but ours disappeared. Brisket tacos were dry. More cilantro than meat. Tortilla chips tasted stale. BYOB burger with Swiss was dry, despite there being a tinge of pink in the meat. Definitely a frozen patty. The bread was very thick, almost too thick. The redemption for this meal were the fries. They're the kind that have cornstarch on them--crispy on the outside. Kids both got macaroni and cheese. We asked the server what kind--Kraft or house made. He said Kraft, which is the only kind my kids will eat. It wasn't Kraft. It was overdone noodles with marigold colored cheese sauce that desperately needed salt. No, it isn't Velveeta's liquid gold, either. They refused to eat it, so there's $16 in the trash. The booth is the most uncomfortable seat in the house--so ask to sit at a table with chairs. And what's up with the playlist? We were here for less than an hour and I heard The Wallflowers' One Headlight and Modest Mouse's Float On 3 times each. I actually like those songs, but not on repeat years after they first came out. Hubby wanted some banana pudding, but since the server never came around for drink refills, but did breeze by to drop the check, we took the hint. No pudding today.

Really good Texas BBQ, beer & spirits. Hope has been our waitress the last couple times and she is awesome- give the girl a raise for attitude, attention, memory, personality, our pup got a pup cup with his name on it! Not as good as the brisket- but hey!!!

The main brewery in Red River with a lot of space good for groups. The beers here are good and you can get an awesome flight of six here. The food is simple bar food that is comforting. I got the Jalapeño Smash Burger and it had a nice heat and good flavor. Service was friendly and accommodating for our large group. Overall, good brewery to check out if you're in this area!

Pot pie, Brisquit tacos , potato soup , onion rings and chips with queso and salsa.

Red River Brewery is our favorite Red River restaurant , from our server Gerri's excellent service to the delicious meal served today we opted to order the Brisquit tacos, Onion Ring, Pot pie and a cup of Potato soup. The brisquit tacos were so delicious , three large meat filled tacos with pico de gallo, green creme sauce were smoky flavored to perfection. Simply mouthwatering. The Potato soup was also s home run , so well flavored and with creamy cheese balancing the mega flavors, next time I'd go with the Bowl. The pot pie had delicious flaky crust as I ate from the rim in. If you are try to figure out to have a great meal experience the Red River Brewery should be your first stop .

This place was recommended to us by two people: a cabin owner and a cleaning lady. Cleaning lady said to stay away from the brisket but to enjoy the apps. Cabin owner said the brisket is good. The brisket verdict: SKIP. It was very plain and dry. The cheese curds were pretty great though! Also the selection of the beers was quite interesting and wide. The service was great and very attentive! I would likely come back when in the area. The place itself is very spacious and has plenty indoor and outdoor seating, can accommodate large parties!

3.8 stars would be more accurate. The space here including the outdoor is really nice. Service is excellent. There is a very large beer selection even with 32 oz cans you can take to go. The highlights are the cheese curds. The brisket was kind of disappointing mid. It was not smoked to the best and not much of a crust on it making it not that flavorful.

Food was excellent! Waitress and staff wonderful and friendly. Brisket was amazing and onion rings were pretty good too. Loved the ambiance and was very clean. All in all a great place to eat!

Came through Red River early in leaf season and decided to try dinner here after reading some of the other reviews. The service was very good but they weren't incredibly busy on a Monday at 5 pm. We had a Cupid green chile stew, medium hot on the NM scale. Very tasty! We also ordered a brisket sandwich with seasoned fries. Excellent hickory smoke on the brisket. The fries were also pretty good. My wife really liked them. We finished the meal with a hot chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. All in all, a pleasant meal. The bar music and buzz of conversation makes it a bit noisy, but not bad. I would certainly stop here again on any future visits.

We loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. The chips made in house are awesome. It was great sitting on the patio after a day of skiing! We recommend!

Had been wanting to come here for a while and I guess I was expecting more all around. Luckily it wasn't super busy and got everything exceptionally quick. Maybe needs more variety on the menu. It felt a little plain or maybe I'm just missing something here. Nothing really stuck out as a must try. The brisket grilled cheese was fatty and needed something. The beer was okay too, but after a flight I felt as if I'd been drinking water and never got a buzz. Would I go back...yes, I liked the area and would want to see if they've added anything different.

Great service, cider, and cheese curds... otherwise mediocre food. I was unimpressed by the brisket tacos and sandwiches.

Good brisket. Great drinks too. Their gin is really good so we bought a bottle. Excellent service. Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.

Don't get me wrong, we love Mexican food, but nothing can beat our TexMex! Beware they are open 7 days a week for the holidays until 5 Jan. They open at 4:30. When you come in, it's beautifully decorated for Christmas! They have a fire burning where you can wait and not definitely had a rustic feel to it! They sat us next to the fire which was really nice for it being cold outside. Our server was very attentive, nice and knowledgeable. The menus were pretty spiffy too as it looked like an old newspaper clipping! They had a variety of steak and also had different animal options like elk & bison. The prices were a bit steep but given the quality and how well they executed the meal, I would say it was well worth it! You are offered a pretzel like bread with butter while ordering. Our waiter was on it and he continued to fill our drinks before we could even ask for more! What we ordered: - Bison ribeye (medium+): this was a gem! If you've never had bison before, don't get scared! It tastes just like cow only it's better for you! The cook was perfection and the seasoning on point! My 13 year old ordered it and devoured it! He had initially asked for A1 sauce but because it was flavored so well, opted not to use it. He said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had! - Ground Elks (medium) w/ chile and grilled onions: it comes dry but our waiter suggested adding green chile and onions to it (beware that's an $11 up charge). It was flavored well, cooked well and tasted amazing. My husband never had elk and said it was really good. Tasted just like ground beef with just a hint of something different. - 12 oz New York sirloin (medium): cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly and topped it with a garlic/butter compound. My daughter, who rarely eats anything more than a 3oz, ate more than half because she liked it that much. - 10oz ribeye (medium): cooked and flavored to perfection again!! On top of that, it was so tender and melted like butter in my mouth! It was so smooth, and just an amazing quality I hadn't had in such a long time. While ribeye comes fatty, this was utter perfection! I typically only eat about 4-5 oz, but ate the entire thing! If we decide to come back to this area, we will definitely stop here! If you want a good steak, go here!!!
