We had a really great experience! The food was excellent, and the root beer was amazing. We ordered the brisket plate, chicken plate, and taco plate, and everything was incredibly tender and full of flavor. Our server was also very friendly and provided great service. The prices were reasonable, especially compared to some of the other restaurants in Red River. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, with chill music and beautiful scenery. Stopped in for lunch while we were staying in nearby Eagle Nest. I'll start with the positives, the brisket and burgers were good. Cooked well and came up very quickly. The fries were crispy and I really liked the "spicy" barbecue sauce. The service left a lot to be desired. When our food came out, something was missing from every plate. The runner seemed confused and lost when we asked about our remaining sides. The waiter had to ask someone if they had to-go cups for my 8 year old and the runners had to ask about barbecue sauce for our brisket . I really wanted to like this place, my husband and I have enjoyed their spirits at various restaurants in Taos, but we were very underwhelmed and felt it was very overpriced especially for lacking service. read more

As the only brewery in this ski town it's up to them to deliver. They make a wide range of beer styles and plenty of them are on tap at any one time. They also have a distillery. We sat at a high top in the bar area. We were given quite sticky and dirty menus. There's a food and a drink menu. Once the waitress returned I ordered a flight if beers as I like to try a variety at a new place. I asked if I should just give her the numbers of the six beers in my flight she said that was the easiest. When the lady tending bar brought me the flight I could visually tell it was wrong. Apparently the sticky menu I was given was out of date. Fortunately the fixed it all fir me. For lunch my wife had a blt and I did the green chile stew with the add on of a grilled cheese sandwich. Busy but a short wait for a table at lunch time. Chips and salsa were decent but the BBQ was really good! I was impressed. The brisket was thick, tender, and tasty! BBQ sauce was a nice addition. The main brewery in Red River with a lot of space good for groups. The beers here are good and you can get an awesome flight of six here. The food is simple bar food that is comforting. I got the Jalapeño Smash Burger and it had a nice heat and good flavor. Service was friendly and accommodating for our large group. Meh. That's what the first syllable of menu is, right? First and probably only timers coming to RRBC. It's midday, mid July. Not terribly busy, so why is it hard for us to get refills on our drinks? Servers keep walking by, but ours disappeared. Brisket tacos were dry. More cilantro than meat. Tortilla chips tasted stale. BYOB burger with Swiss was dry, despite there being a tinge of pink in the meat. Definitely a frozen patty. The bread was very thick, almost too thick. The redemption for this meal were the fries. They're the kind that have cornstarch on them--crispy on the outside. Kids both got macaroni and cheese. We asked the server what kind--Kraft or house made. He said Kraft, which is the only kind my kids will eat. It wasn't Kraft. It was overdone noodles with marigold colored cheese sauce that desperately needed salt. No, it isn't Velveeta's liquid gold, either. They refused to eat it, so there's $16 in the trash. The booth is the most uncomfortable seat in the house--so ask to sit at a table with chairs. And what's up with the playlist? We were here for less than an hour and I heard The Wallflowers' One Headlight and Modest Mouse's Float On 3 times each. I actually like those songs, but not on repeat years after they first came out. Hubby wanted some banana pudding, but since the server never came around for drink refills, but did breeze by to drop the check, we took the hint. No pudding today. read more

The brisquit tacos were so delicious , three large meat filled tacos with pico de gallo, green creme sauce were smoky flavored to perfection. Simply mouthwatering. The Potato soup was also s home run , so well flavored and with creamy cheese balancing the mega flavors, next time I'd go with the Bowl. The beer was good. The food was only okay. The service the first time was good. The second night it was no.

Came through Red River early in leaf season and decided to try dinner here after reading some of the other reviews. The service was very good but they weren't incredibly busy on a Monday at 5 pm. We had a Cupid green chile stew, medium hot on the NM scale. Very tasty! We also ordered a brisket sandwich with seasoned fries. Excellent hickory smoke on the brisket. The fries were also pretty good. My wife really liked them. We finished the meal with a hot chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. All in all, a pleasant meal. The bar music and buzz of conversation makes it a bit noisy, but not bad. I would certainly stop here again on any future visits. read more

The highlights are the cheese curds. The brisket was kind of disappointing mid. It was not smoked to the best and not much of a crust on it making it not that flavorful. read more

The service from Parker was miserable. Very dismissive, walked away from us as we were talking to him. The chalkboard at the bar outside says beer on tap for $7 and so we ordered two beers listed from there. The beers turn out to be more expensive than advertised so we mentioned that to him and he told us "just don't tip, you shouldn't be going to restaurants if you can't afford it". Ridiculously bad service and we weren't going to tip you anyway. Tips are for good service lmao. We weren't the only ones in our party who had issues with Parker. read more

First time at this establishment and caught the Chiefs game (cause why not). Exceptionally clean, inviting atmosphere, and welcoming staff. Waitress, while very soft spoken making it challenging to hear her with the game overhead,, had drinks filled the entire stay and food was delivered in a timely manner. Recommend the BLT!! Yumm! Thick cut bacon on your bread of choice. Salsa was pretty good too with a hint of garlic. Definitely will be visiting here again when in the area! read more

RRBC has an AWESOME atmosphere. The seating, indoor or outdoor is great. Pls any of space, clean, open, and feels like a modern brewery. It's nice (and rare) to have that kind of experience in northern New Mexico! That being said the food is pretty expensive and not great. I have also feel like the service has been pretty consistently lacking to even straight up bad. I will still go there because of the atmosphere (a great place for larger parties and to hang with friends) but I hope they can improve food and service! read more

Friendly bartenders and a wide selection of locally brewed beers and spirits (did not try the spirits - next time!). Cherry tomatoes were wilted and should've been tossed instead of going on a customer's salad. Build your own buger was cooked well instead of medium. The supposed angus meat had a little bit of an odd taste to it. $2.00 extra for a slice of cheddar on it. Nothing special, nothing gourmet here. I knew that walking in, but still expected a little bit better food for the price. It is what it is (I'm being very nice and diplomatic in this review). Waitress was good. read more

First, we were happy with our food. We've visited RRBC every time we're in RR and always have a good experience. Went there Tuesday for dinner, and had the slowest waitress on this planet. It wasn't that busy, and the male waiters seemed really responsible for their tables. But we got a doozie. We were finished with our meal and saw her walking around, but couldn't catch her attention to get the check. She waited on a couple that had just sat down, then processed the checks at the table next to us. We sat with no beverages and no service for 15-20 mins before she finally came over with the check. We'll try again next time and hope for better service. read more
