Within a minute, the manager delivered me a basket of hot rolls that were delicious. This Texas Roadhouse was a solid 5 . Place was packed and for good reason. Heath, our waiter was superb as was the food. The Ft. Worth ribeye was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. First off they paged us on our pager, had our name on ticket, but sat the wrong couple...had to tell hubby it's okay, but after 20 minute wait, and called to be seated, he said hey we're here,and our name is on that couples ticket, you sat before us! Once seated it went down hill, waited a while to take order 15 MIN....no fresh peanuts,( bucket of trash actually) had to ask for fresh peanuts...no bread plates, or silverware. Brought drinks no straws...wrote order on someone else's receipt. Kept forgetting items, and drinks. Hubby 2/3's done, she asked, "how's everything," hubby said, "you forgot my rice,"" oh I'll get chuckle chuckle," hubby said." I do not want anymore!" Visited Tennessee for my birthday and decided to eat here because it was close to my hotel. Overall we had a pleasant experience but the only thing I noticed differently about this location is that masks were optional, not required during the height of the spread of Covid (March 2021). We put our names on the list but waited in the car just to practice social distancing. Once at our table we noticed people walking in and around the dining area without masks. We ordered the blooming onion, side salads, steaks and other items. Everything was cooked very well and we were able to take food back to our room for later. I called to order two steaks for carry out at 5:20pm. I asked if they would be marked because one was Medium well and one was well done. She said yes and told me the order would be ready at 6 pm. I arrived a few minutes early and they took my payment immediately. They finally ring my order out at 6:15pm. The extra wait wasn't too bad, but neither steak was marked. I complained to the carry out girl, who shrugged and said "sorry." When I got home, both steaks were well done. Mine tasted like saw dust. I spit out the bite I put on my mouth and threw the rest in the trash. I can cook a better steak at home on my Foreman grill. I won't be back. She waited an hour and 10 minutes and finally went inside to see if it was ready, only to be told that the kitchen was behind and our order was not ready. We will never use their curbside again! I hate leaving this review but it's time. The poor experiences here begin right at the front door. The hostess staff is rude and inattentive. There's usually a few young ladies at the hostess stand. Most of the time they are chatting and giggling among themselves while guests are left standing and largely ignored. When one finally pulls herself away and turns her attention to the guest it's usually with a slightly disgusted look on her face that just screams how she wishes the guest would just leave. When you are finally escorted to the table frequently there's food left in the chairs or on the table and there's always mashed and smeared food left underfoot. Tonight was particularly disappointing. My family and I supported Texas Roadhouse at the old Alcoa location all through the pandemic. We ordered take out a couple of times a week just to support them. The food and service were good. The old service staff was friendly and efficient. When the new location opened the mostly new staff have been frequently rude and the quality of the food has plummeted. Because of some dietary restrictions I have been ordering the grilled chicken tenders for months with no problems. Tonight the waitress took our order and about 20 minutes later returned to tell me I couldn't order the grilled tenders because they have never had that or served that. I disagreed and told her I had them just last week. She checked and came back to tell me the kitchen would not cook it. The manager came to the table and bluntly asked me what I needed in a very unfriendly manner. I explained and she said that although the kitchen could cook it they no longer would be cooking anything for anyone that wasn't specifically listed on the menu like grilled chicken instead of fried or grilled fish instead of fried. I said I would just cancel my order but my wife could still get her order. She just shrugged and said I could do whatever I wanted. No explanations, no apologies, no empathy or kindness whatsoever. Because of her attitude my wife decided we would just leave altogether. I know us leaving and my review won't change anything because they simply have too many customers to care about just one. The service was about the same. He said, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure that offended her. she basically said, do not question my gender , he basically said I just said ma'am she didn't like that I'm guessing he didn't know her pronouns I kind of wish there was a sign or something to help people out with that because how are you supposed to know anyway it took about 45 minutes to get our food, which was not great I got raw bacon on my burger. Basically we just took most of the burger home the dog ate it. Hopefully my dog doesn't get sick anyway, if you're looking for somewhere to go get something to eat to somewhere else unless you are mind reader, and can read somebody's pronouns but anyway, I kind of felt bad for the guy. Prices are easy on the wallet, staff was kind and pretty quick to take care of my date and me. My date enjoyed a beer and a very tender sirloin steak. I couldn't help myself, having a weakness for chicken fried steak, I ordered and ate the whole thing partnered with mashed potatoes with everything on it. OMG! Can we say "food porn" to the highest limit. Everything was so good that I failed to save some to take home for my sweet dawgie. Yeah, she let me know she was not pleased. We got seated and ordered the steaks medium rare and they came out medium, my mashed potatoes tasted like they had been sitting for a while before it got brought out. I also asked for some rolls to go before we were close to be done eating 15 minutes went by and still never received my to go rolls. So asked the waitress behind Logans table who was my server and she was super rude when I asked her if she could get some rolls because I asked my server for some 15 minutes prior. I got good welcoming service by Tyra (Bartender), she gave me time to chill and determine when I wanted to order rather than being pushy . I ordered a steak with fresh veggies and a house salad . The house salad came out as soon as the complementary bread did, and within minutes the steak came . Wow . I'll admit, some may see it being too quick and not enough for conversion, but the fact they did it a efficient with a quick turnaround was very impressive . When it went off we were trying to hand the hostess the buzzer but she wasn't paying attention. She was making a bracelet. I was very surprised because of how busy it was that she wasn't paying attention. Once my husband got her attention we were seating in Troy's section. He was awesome. Very nice and attentive. He made a lot of good suggestions and was very polite and funny. Our food was very good and came out timely and was a pretty good price for getting two steaks and two alcoholic beverages. We ate at the Alcoa, TN Restaurant tonight and we're disappointed. My daughter's sirloin was like shoe leather and it took forever for the server to come back and check how are meals where going. We told her about the sirloin and she acted if she did not care, but said she would get another one. 15 minutes later my husband and I had finished are dinners, and still no sirloin. Finally the manager Troy delivered the sirloin. He was not apologetic, said he would see about a discount. Most restaurants will take the meal off for the problem, not this place or manager. He did give us a 10% discount which we receive anyway for being a Veteran. So no true discount. The Texas Roadhouse was dirty with food and napkins on the floors. I went here for my mother in laws birthday dinner with the family. We weren't disappointed. We put our name on the waitlist and we didn't wait but maybe 15 minutes when we actually got to the restaurant. The rolls were good like always. We got the strawberry margarita and it was yummy. Everyone ordered steak or a prime rib and everyone enjoyed their meals! The server was on top of it! The salad was really good too. I was so surprised how good it was. This location is consistently busy and for me that's a good sign that the food is good. Sure enough, this particular location has the best ribs I have ever tasted and consistently so. The bread is awesome. My dinner mates tell me the food they order is excellent as well. I don't know because I only ever get ribs here. The other thing I really like about this place is the atmosphere. It's country and the mood is always happy and a care free. Sometimes you just want to get away from it all and enjoy some good food and I submit to you this is an excellent place to do that. The only negative I can think of is that it's difficult to go anywhere but north or east once you leave. We arrived at the location and out our name in at the hostess station and were told 10 - 20 minutes. People came in after us and put their names in as well. After 20 minutes we were told they are cleaning tables and we were next. A few minutes later the people that came in after us were seated. I went to the hostess and asked for our table it had been now 30 minutes, the hostess answer was I'm new. Well there were 2 there and neither had a clue. Were seated and Caren was our server she is a 10 out of 10. We had 3 in the party and one at home. We order 2 filets NOT BUTTERFLYED one for there and one togo Two other steaks as well. When the filet came out it looked like a strip or sirloin and not a filet like pictured in the menu or like it served in every other steakhouse in the country. We have been to this location before and ordered the filet and got a filet. We asked the waitress and she took it back to the kitchen and then the manager came out with our togo order and proceeded to pick up the steak (with a gloved hand) and poke it and flop it around and proceed to tell us this is what a filet looks like and it depends how they are cut on what you get. I am throwing the bullsh*t flag on this one. He was very condescending with everything he said. If you want a real filet go somewhere else. If you want to have management talk down to you this is the place to go. I am assuming that they could care less about the customers and quality of food they are serving. My client had been given a gift certificate for his 80th birthday and him, his wife, my husband and myself had gone there for lunch. My client had an accident which I didn't know at the time until he came out of the bathroom that it was him. Several staff members were laughing and making fun of him because an 80 year old with Alzheimer's had an accident. The bonus of here are the rolls and butter for the wait for the food stuff. Our server came right over and got our drink orders and brought them out fast. I've always loved Texas Roadhouse and my service here is always great. What isn't so great is the horrendous staff working the counter. We called ahead and when we arrived they told us they wouldn't seat us because we were missing one person from our party of five. They have us a pager. We went and sat downtown to wait and not even two minutes later the pager went off. We went back up and they girl said "we didn't mean to do that. Go back and sit down." Ummm rude!! We sat down and it went off again! I took it up there and said I'm assuming this is a mistake as well to which they replied yeah.
