The service provided by Sergio was exemplary, and we just cannot say enough good things about him. Hard-working, always attentive without ever being over-bearing, kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable about every menu item we asked about. We know we can sometimes ask a lot of our servers, and Sergio never hesitated or faltered in providing some of the best service we have EVER experienced. Kudos to Sergio! Not to leave out the rest of the staff - the manager and everyone else we were in contact with were exceedingly warm and welcoming. And the food! Wow! Everything we ordered (soups, lobster, steaks, and desserts) was perfectly prepared and also among the best meals any of us have ever had. My wife and I have spent a lot of time in Southern Carolina and have become huge fans of She Crab soup and we didn't think we would ever have soup as good as we get there, but we were wrong. The She Crab soup at Foothills Milling Company was better than any we've ever had, anywhere. The steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature and were seasoned just right, and the lobster was amazing. This was seriously among the best dining experiences any of us have ever had, and we will happily recommend Foothills Milling Company to everyone we know. We cannot wait for our next visit. Thank you to Sergio, the chef(s), and the rest of the staff for making our Mother's Day celebration so special.

The ambiance is nice, and the wait staff welcoming and helpful. My table attendant Sergio was excellent, paying just enough attention but not too much that it was smothering. He greeted me with a smile, and definitely seemed dedicated to making my visit special. I am a vegetarian, so they had a special menu for vegetarians and vegans. I decided on the Orechiette Mushroom Pasta, with a nice South American Malbec. So happy with both...the pasta was delicious, with the mushrooms and tomatoes cooked and spiced to perfection. And the maybe paired well with the pasta. Fabulous and delicious meal, and when next I am in Maryville I will be happy to partake again.

What makes it so unique is the crust is a crisp chip and the base of the pizza is their creamed spinach. A+ Haley was our server and she was wonderful: attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. I ordered the Spa Day mocktail and honestly... it was better than a lot of actual cocktails I've had. So refreshing and absolutely perfect for summer. We started with the Chicken Pizza Florentine appetizer and WOW. Such a unique dish and easily something I'd order as my main meal next time. Apparently it's been on the menu forever, and after trying it I completely understand why. For dinner, I ordered one of the specials: buttery noodles with grilled shrimp and a 3oz blue cheese steak. Unbelievable. The portion was actually perfect, though I added the creamed spinach just in case and it was delicious too. My husband got the clam chowder plus several sides that aren't even listed on the menu. One of the best parts about Chop House is all the side options. He chose onion rings, snow peas, and a loaded baked potato. The onion rings were already great, but then the manager came out with a fresh batch because they felt the first ones "weren't up to their standards." That level of customer service really stood out. Also worth mentioning: the kids menu is HUGE with tons of choices, which made things so easy for our family. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but honestly every part of the meal was excellent. We'll definitely be back much sooner next time.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday and it was our first time dining there. The restaurant is tucked into a nice wooded area near the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. There is outdoor seating available, a firepit area with make your own smores, and indoor seating which is where we dined. We were greeted as soon as we entered and waited at the bar where Ian served us (he was great) until our reservation time (doubt we could have got in without the reservation). The bar had a huge selection of bourbon including many allocated bottles. My wife had a spicy margarita which she loved. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. Our server, David, brought us some of their famous cornbread it reminded me of couple of pieces of cake except it was cornbread with a delicious sorghum syrup and whipped butter. It was unique and delicious. We started with trio of dips - sharp cheddar pimento cheese, butter bean hummus, and my favorite smoked salmon rillette. These were served with sea salt crackers and pickled vegetables. It was all tasty and the smoke salmon had so much flavor. I had delicious thick cut pork chop topped with peach and jalapeno jam. It was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy and the topping added a fantastic spicy tang. The sides were charred baby carrots, green beans, a spoonbread with red-eye gravy and red pepper emulsion. My wife had a filet with bearnaise sauce and Yukon potatoes with cauliflower, sweet peppers, mushrooms and braised onions. It was cooked exactly as ordered with such a great taste and so tender. David brought my with a complementary piece of pie made with Cruze Farm buttermilk topped with berries and a lemon drizzle. It was a fantastic experience and we were so happy with everything. Everything was pricey for the area, but well worth it for what we received.

You're tucked away in the forest with the most peaceful ambiance in the evening! The waiter introduced the menu to us and mentioned that the ingredients were all mostly locally sourced and or grown in their garden when you first turn onto the driveway. So great to know exactly where your food is coming from! For the starter, I shared the crab corn chowder - and the waiter was kind enough to split the soup into two bowls with my partner. This was a perfect starter! Creamy, a little smokey, and not too heavy like your typical chowder. Lacking in the crab department, but it's as you would suspect with anything advertising 'containing crab' at a restaurant. We were also given complimentary corn bread and it was delicious. Such a nice surprise and I definitely preferred having the cornbread over regular bread! The service was a little slow, especially to bring the appetizer and bread out, but I wasn't too bothered since it didn't seem like we were rushed to finish our meal. I ordered the filet mignon (med rare) as my main. The flavors were spot on! My filet was a bit tougher than other filets I've had in the past... it was difficult to cut into. I also wished there was more of the red wine sauce to balance the richness of all the accompanying flavors and textures. All in all, this spot was a special treat tucked away in Townsend and I'm glad I didn't have to drive too far for a well-crafted menu and food scene!
