However, the reason I am docking stars is because I was charged for the trivia games on the tablet at the table! I did NOT press a button indicating I wanted to play, and I was never given any confirmation of purchase until the bill came. This is unacceptable! I was there about a couple of weeks ago with a couple of friends and my wife. From start to finish was an absolute blast!! Within 30 seconds, we were greeted and had our drink orders in. After our drinks came back within 2 minutes, our waitress (please forgive me, I forgot her name) who only had a week experience on being a server, had taken our app and main course order in record time! And mind you, this was Veterans Day weekend, so this place was absolutely packed! The appetizers came to us within 10 minutes hot and absolutely amazing! And then another 10 minutes after that, our main entrees came to our table at the perfect time!! The people, atmosphere, and food were top notch! Not to mention the pricing was definitely budget friendly for being a steak joint! I had complemented the server to the manager and let her know that her staff did an excellent job! The food was so bad!! And on top of that terrible service. I was with a group of people 5 in total and our server was Ryan. He was the absolute worst didn't check on our table at all, took our order and delivered our food that's it. And our food took 30 minutes ! Then I had an over cooked steak that I was only able to tell him about because one order took longer to come out. Then he took my steak away to get me a new one only to bring it out almost 15 minutes later after everyone was done eating. And on top of all that the steak was still over cooked the second time. The rest of the food was also terrible barely warm and seemed like it had just been sitting under a heat lamp for to long. We always loved this restaurant but our last experience dining there was not very good one. We were seated after a short wait which was great as you are always busy. The issue was with all four different entrees that were ordered. None came out as requested. One order, a filet was to be medium rare. Came out almost well done. Another, a 20 ounce rib eye ordered medium, came out well done. Prime Rib ordered medium, came out well done. Kebabs also ordered medium also came out well done. Four for four. We only mentioned the Rib Eye and the waiter knocked $10 off the bill. Unfortunately after paying $161 for a meal that four people had a hard time trying to enjoy is not acceptable. The chefs might need a refresher course on how to cook beef correctly. At least the bagged peanuts were available to take home. read more

We had a great time at this place . We visited this place for a Saturday lunch. Our visit was unplanned. I called them up in enroute and was informed of 10 min of waiting time . On our arrival we checked in and a booth was given to us . The lady who took us to the allocated booth was not that welcoming though , but that's fine she was not disrespectful. However our server Austin was awesome guy . We didn't like where we were seated so he quickly arranged another place for us and throughout our lunch he was attentive and hospitable. This is rare with most of the nearby restaurants that we have visited. Also I had read some earlier reviews of this place and was skeptical of visiting this one but again that all perception has changed . The ambience of this place is awesome and their food is one of their USP . We liked their unlimited soft bread with butter and peanut bucket offering. We ordered a tall draft beer and to my surprise it was served on a completely chilled glass . It has been long since I had one in a restaurant like that . We ordered two chicken entrees , chicken smoother was really good and well cooked . My wife however didn't like her over roasted chicken but then this place is famous for their steaks , isn't it? Out of all the common/affordable steak houses I would put TR my fav just bc of this location. I've been to other TR locations in diff states but this one has the best service and never over cooks my steak! We frequent this place quite often since we only live 1 min away. On weekends during peak hours there a wait, to beat all that just call ahead !!! so worth it. We love the cactus blossom starter, and it doesn't come out soaked in oil like other places, and the fried pickles are really good too. Our most recent visit was Mother's day for lunch and it was def a full house. We only waited about 5 min before being seated so I guess we came at a good time before the crowd followed. My bf got the 16oz forth worth ribeye and I got the 16oz sirloin both med rare. Since this is a chain I won't talk too much about their food, but their service is great here. Wait staff is always attentive yet not over bearing and made sure our drinks are always full. So overall we love this place, sad we're moving further away but we will def come back here if around the area. read more

My husband and I visited your establishment on 4/26. First off, I have a torn meniscus with a limp and don't like to walk very far. We walked by many empty booths and ended up being seated at one of the farthest booths. My husband ordered his usual 8 ounce Dallas filet, medium rare with a baked potato and broccoli. He specifically requested the potato to be "swimming in butter". I ordered the 16 oz. handcut sirloin with mashed potatoes and chili for my side. I thought my sides were going to be served together, but the chili was brought out first, as though it was an appetizer. I eat my chili over my mashed potatoes. The chili was warm, not hot. The waitress didn't come back for awhile until after I had eaten the chili, as I didn't want to eat it completely cold. Okay, I can do this. When the rest of our dinner was served we both cut into the steaks, mine was slightly less done than the medium rare that I had ordered, but that's okay, I can do this. My husband's first bite of his steak was fine. The waitress came back to ask about the steaks and we let her know they were good. The next bite of my husband's steak was cold. The waitress returned and asked how things were and he let her know that the steak was cold. She asked if he wanted that one warmed or wanted another one made. My husband indicated that he wanted another one made. She took the steak but appeared to have somewhat of an attitude. Someone from the kitchen brought the next steak, which was charred on the outside. We received no service after this. Our waitress never returned to ask how the steak was or offer to get us more drinks. My husband's baked potato had NO butter on it, only a sparse amount sour cream. My husband attempted to flag several people down, including two people who walked right by our table on the way to the kitchen, but they all pretended not to see or hear him. He finally got the attention of a nice young lady on her way to the kitchen and asked for a manager. A manager came and he explained to her what had happened with the steak and no service, and asked to get a box for my steak and the check. To my surprise, she did not even apologize, but brought the box and the check. My husband tried to give her his card to pay the check, but she just told him he could use the kiosk, which he knew he couldn't use without leaving a tip. No customer service here. My husband has been eating here for years, it was one of his favorite restaurants, however he will not eat there again. read more

Stopped in tonight for nice Sunday dinner! I called in to make sure it wasn't a long wait time and thankfully we were seated right away. I ordered a small sirloin medium well with mashed potatoes and seasoned rice. The rice was a bit on the salty side but i still couldn't eat the entire meal due to having my share peanuts and their hot delicious rolls before our meals came out. We have been going here for years on the last two visits it has taken over 20 minutes to get a drink from the bar and on our last visit I ordered water as well as a drink and it to took 25 minutes. To start when my husband and placed our order for our drinks 25 minutes after we sat down...then it kept going down hill from there. Showed my waitress the pic from the menu 8oz steak with shrimp. I joined the Texas Roadhouse email list a year ago but things got in the way and I never made it out to a Texas Roadhouse until today, shortly after I got a first anniversary coupon from the mailing list. So how do you explain that you're using a one-year anniversary coupon even though you haven't been to any Texas Roadhouse before? It's a quandary of Seinfeldian proportions. Anyway, this restaurant was packed on a Saturday evening but they still were able to seat me right away. I was surprised at the bucket of peanuts on the table. The server also brought a basket of bread. Wow! So even before I ordered a single thing, there was already enough food on the table to fill my stomach! I was sure I wouldn't leave hungry even if portions were small. I ordered the rattlesnake bites, which were good but perhaps not terribly original. For the entree, I had fried catfish with baked beans and a house salad. The catfish had thick crisp breading. The salad was okay. Baked beans seemed like it had a bit too much water but the bacon flakes were a nice touch. Service was good. The server came back to check on me quite a number of times. He gave me a run down of the menu since it was my first time there and he never questioned why I was using a one-year anniversary coupon even though I'd never been to a Texas Roadhouse. We hadn't visited this restaurant in nearly a decade, but we had a taste for steak on a Saturday night and we're on that side of town. We joined the online wait list and were seated within 15 minutes of our arrival. Hubby and I each ordered the 8 oz. NY strip (comes with two sides) and we shared an appetizer. Our tab was under $50 (soft drinks, no alcohol) and service was prompt and friendly. The yeast rolls were as amazing as we remembered. The steak was perfectly cooked per our specifications (medium). The food is always good whenever I've gone here!! The service is ok. Not marvelous, not horrible....just ok. I usually get the stewed chicken, the seasoned rice (my fav), mashed potatoes, broccoli....even the side salad is delicious! And of course, the buttery rolls and honey butter. Omg! I try not to have too many before my meal comes. I don't eat peanuts, so that part of being there is not a thrill for me. It's actually annoying and seemingly a bit unsanitary to see all of the shells all over the place. Smh oh and i dont know if there's something wrong with their fountain or whatever, but their sprites are always bad :-( and the tea. So i stick with water. This is the best steakhouse in upper Delaware. This place is always crowded on the weekend and dinner. Their prime ribs start at 4PM and is out pretty fast. Sometimes people need to wait almost two hours without calling ahead (They didn't call it a reservation). You should call ahead but your whole party needs to arrive before seated. Oh.. their beer is a must if you are a beer lover. If you celebrate a birthday or make an announcement, their staff will yell Yee-Haa for you ;-) read more

Whenever we are down in Delaware visiting friends, we ALWAYS (and I mean ALWAYS) stop here for a meal with them. The food is great and the service is excellent. Love the free peanuts. And there are large booths for whatever size party you have, so there is no problem seating a crowd and still allowing people to interact freely. The biggest downside to this place (aside from the peanuts, if you're allergic) is the noise. There is country music playing all the time, and the volume ranges from loud to LOUD. If you're at all hard of hearing or vulnerable to overstimulation, you may want to find another spot or request a table in the corner. Not a place I'd bring a date, but a fun spot to hang out with friends. read more

While visiting our daughter in Delaware over the holidays we drove by Texas Roadhouse in Bear and decided to give it a try. It was only 5pm and this place was really hopping, you can tell it's very popular with the locals and was already packed inside. Instead of waiting we decided to eat at the bar since several seats opened up. The bartenders were very friendly immediately saw us approach, asked what we would like, while handing us the food menus when we mentioned we were eating too. My daughter got the 6 ounce sirloin and my wife and I got the grilled chicken salad. Both were good. The environment felt really festive given all the colorful lighting, peanut shells on the floor and the large crowd. Parking was super easy outside the building. We enjoyed our time there with the exception of the dash to the car in the pouring rain when we left. I do plan to come back on a future trip to Delaware! read more
