    Garden salad and chili

I have been enjoying this location for years and enjoy the food service and atmosphere. I especially like their early bird menu on Monday - Thursday. I have tried many of their meals both steak and chicken. My wife and I come here once or twice a week and find it clean and friendly. I also like to go to other locations around the country.

    Delicious Food and tremendous service!

I decided to go to TRH tonight for a take-out order. I ordered two 12 oz. Ribeye Steaks (Medium Well), a Cactus Blossom, Baked Potatoes, and two Salads. The food was excellent, as always. Cooked just right and was very tasty. The wife and I usually dine in maybe 3 times a quarter. However, this evening I decided to order via the take-out service. I was greeted by an employee named Yarelis. She was very mannerable, paid close attention to every detail, was engaging, and was super efficient at what she did. She was very knowledgeable and when my order was ready, she delivered it with a smile and provided well wishes. Management needs to pay attention to this young employee. Many of the youngsters employed, have no social skills and don't make the customer feel valued. They are frequently on their phones while working and rarely engage with customers. I know I'm on a rant, but Ms. Yarelsi was very impressive and should be recognized. Keep up the great work, Pastor Frank

    Fried Pickles

Haven't been here in years but I must say they are still good and consistent. Had the fried pickles as an appetizer but we could finish them because they were really salty. I got the rib and chicken critter combo with mash and a bowl of chili. Ribs were tender and falling off the bone. Chili with no beans is the best and of course who doesn't like those sweet buns with the cinnamon butter. Service was great quick and very attentive. My one complaint is the loudness. The music is up so high which makes all the people speak louder and it all just becomes too much.

The Pros: I thought I'd help this business by updating my review. Seems like some other yelpers have had some unfortunate experiences here lately but I think those must have been isolated incidents because in my experience, the food is really good here. Today I came here for the third time and my son, my husband and I all enjoyed our meals. My husband had ribs which he said were delicious and tender, my son had the giant grilled shrimp (two large skewers over seasoned rice) and I had barbecue chicken and steak. As sides we had chili, mashed potatoes, and broccoli and steak fries. They should seriously consider bottling their barbecue sauce and selling it-that's how good it is! My chicken was so tender, smoky and savory: definitely made with love. My steak was nicely cooked too. Please note that the pics were taken after we already started eating so our portions were bigger than what you see. The Cons: ordered a mango margarita on the rocks which was perfect the last time I came but this time it was kind of watered down-they added too much ice. I don't know if that's their attempt to save on liquor but I wasn't thrilled about that of course. Texas sized drinks are supposed to taste strong to the last drop:we customers pay enough for it. All of the portion sizes were generous except for the mashed potatoes-why such a small bowl? They were so creamy, too bad lol...Also this is a small detail but it would be helpful if they provided wet wipes considering most of the food is barbecue and can get messy.

We have their numerous times and had another good evening. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Eating in the restaurant is better than delivering it to the house. The food for both of them were still good.

    Covid Touchless advertising

This restaurant is under strict Covid protocol and that's a good thing. If you're visiting you should try to call ahead to let them know when you're coming. They say it's not reservations but they give you preference when you arrive. Also, when you arrive they only want one person to ask for a table then they want you to summon the rest of your party? I think this is too much but their hearts are in the right place. On to my experience with my kids. The server was great! Very attentive and friendly. The food was also good but took a while for us to get. I don't know the reason but I'm extending a little Covid grace. The server was quick to refill our drinks and get our appetizer out but our entrees were delayed. About the food: We ordered the Fried Onion appetizer and it was legendary! Just what we remembered last time we were here. For my entree, I ordered the catfish and it was delicious. The only problem I had is that one of my sides never came out until I was leaving, but oh that sweet potato...(more on the leaving part in a moment). My son ordered the Critters, fries and applesauce and loved them! No problems. My daughters ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers well done. One was perfect while the other was severely undercooked (see image below). This was a problem because the table across from us had a similar problem with their entree. The kitchen didn't cook it right twice. This was unfortunate. To rectify the situation the manager took our messed up order off of the bill. Also, after the waitress sincerely apologized, she finally brought me my side of chili that was neglected, and a whole new Bacon Cheeseburger entree for my daughter go. With the good comes the bad and we had some of both for this outing. If you're in Delaware I would still recommend this place. Just be sure to save grace for kitchen mess-ups because I think they're inevitable.

Hands down probably one of the best in Wilmington, probably better than its neighbor Bardea…read more The ambience is set with the dime lighting and walking in you know you're somewhere elegant. I will say I took a star off for the steak, I've been to a few of the big ones in Philly and I'm not sure this place is up to par but it's good and the side dishes....omg phenomenal. I literally dream about the salad and carrots. Amazing flavors! The service is good, can be hit or miss depending on the day but I feel like that's anywhere in Wilmington. Overall, I recommend to those who haven't been or someone looking for a good meal in Wilmington. Don't skip those side dishes though! They are truly the stars of the show.

We walked into the spot around 5:45PM. Not too busy at this point. A style reminiscent of fibbage 3 of jackbox set to a psychedelic beat. Appears to be popular among the 30-somethings. Well-dressed, young servers with a friendly work culture and dimly lit yellow light type of vibe. Service was appropriate and formal yet personable. We were given insight on the menu and were walked through all of the steak options. We started off with the drinks. Our server, Austin, suggested the lemon drop and espresso martinis were some of the best on this side of the Mississippi. You could taste no alcohol in either of these drinks. The lemon drop was sweet with strong lemon-head-esque flavors. The espresso martini might be mistaken for an espresso outside of this context. I had a boring old fashioned which tasted like a sweet citrusy bourbon. The drinks overall were tasty and I would not be reserved about ordering one but they can run the tab pretty quickly. The menu is divided into snacks, steak, sides, and other entrees. The snacks are a bite or two among a party of four. 2-3 sides and an entree will feed a party of 4-6. We started with some snacks: the brioche buns, Swedish meatballs, and lamb gnocchi. The brioche buns had a soft chewy interior and a honey-glazed, lightly crispy exterior. They were served with a pad of butter that tasted like butter. This will come out sooner than your other snacks. It is advised to eat this with your saucier dishes but we couldn't wait that long. High value for your meal. We approached the lamb gnocchi next. There was half an ounce of braised lamb in a brown sauce over a home-made gnocchi in a pool of spiced broth. The braised lamb was melt in your mouth tender which paired nicely with the lightly chewy gnocchi. Almost a bite as satisfying as mochi although the texture was completely different. The curveball was the broth. If you've had Maggi noodles (an Indian instant noodle staple) it tastes almost exactly like this broth except maybe a bit thicker. This was a fun dish. We indulged in two sides: the house salad and the loaded potato. The house salad tasted like a creamy Caesar with crunchy bits. Good variety of greens textures. It's no roots natural kitchen but certainly goes well with the meats and starch you'll encounter at bardea. The loaded potatoes also paired well with the beef. I think the potato was simply sliced into 1/2 slices, breaded in panko, and deep fried. Similar in flavor to a McDonald's hash brown. A rich, smoky white sauce accompanied the potato slices as well as the green sauce which I don't really remember. We shared a delicious whole branzino as well. We were given the option to have the head attached or detached. My fave part is the head, eyes, and cheeks so detachment was not an option. It's mostly deboned but there are some bones so be careful. No sauce but there is intense flavors in the crispy skin. The Angus porterhouse was a steak. Well-cooked to medium rare. Seared well on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the interior. Some cartilaginous bites that I didn't mind bc I have a bad habit of swallowing food. The rare seared fatty bit were my favorite. I love beef and this was a real treat . I am a student and this meal was my significant other's family treating me to a luxurious meal. Bardea facilitated a phenomenal pseudo-formal time to dress up and hang out in a celebratory fashion. However, this meal was very expensive. The value of the experience was okay. We ended up paying around $70 per person. If you like steakhouses, this isn't so bad although I might suggest hitting up Trolley afterwards if you're trying to have a comprehensive Saturday night.
