I like the fact that you can get on the waitlist by using the app, it makes it easier to get a spot in my opinion. Our server on this visit was very friendly and attentive. The food is just OK, nothing super special to brag about for the price. They bring you bread with a cinnamon butter that is good but I don't understand how at a steak house when you order a loaded baked potato it comes to you "lukewarm", it kind of takes the excitement away! My steak was cooked properly or i'd probably give a 3 star, not for the service, but for food quality. How have I never been to Texas Roadhouse? I'm not sure but I'm so glad I tried this place today. The staff asked if it was our first time and we said yes so they gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Our server was Josh and he was great with making sure we were taken care of and gave great recommendations on what to order. We filled up on the bread and really enjoyed the fried pickles, steaks and loaded sides! A few employees stopped by to make sure everything was excellent. This Texas Roadhouse has great service! I've been 3 times recently and always had a great time. Food was consistently on par with other locations and came out really fast. Bread was always fresh and hot, and we never had to wait long for a new basket. They definitely do well with accommodating the weekend dinner rush. Met the service manager 2 of my 3 times here, the staff definitely seems eager to please. That feeling sometimes gets lost in chain restaurants that have hour long waits. Been to this specific restaurant about 5 times went on a Saturday late afternoon. Hit & miss generally speaking where either the service is poor or slow, or the meal is. In this case the meal. I ordered 20 ounce bone-in ribeye medium-well, they cooked it medium, tasty, but not the way I wanted it and I know when they take it back and I receive it back, it tends to be very tough so I ate it anyway. However, my wife ordered the 6 oz fillet, medium well, came to us medium rare, sent it back the first time, was still medium rare, so took it back a second time, still medium rare. Either they didn't cook it or they didn't do anything but shove it in a microwave. Yes, the manager comped the meal, but this does NOT fix the problem. Cooks can't cook a small steak. I filled out a complaint form for this location in Brighton, someone tried to call me after 10pm Eastern time. I called them back and they never responded, the person was a managing partner of the restaurant. This restaurant has been here well over two years, how they stay in business is beyond me. I will not return again. Service was fine. There are definitely better choices around town. When we arrived I checked in with the host but was told it would be 10-15. As we sat an time pressed on. 20 minutes passed and I asked about seating and mentioned the online reservation. Jeff and I ordered the margarita and they were having a promotion that every dollar spent in margaritas would be matched and help go to breast cancer awareness. This Texas Roadhouse is extra Texas and extra roadhouse. It's vibrant, loud, and fun. It feels more like a Texas themed club than the TR on the south side of Ann arbor. The energy was contagious and exciting. The staff even took a break to line dance. Make sure you use the website to get on the wait-list 15 min before you come to take a little off your wait time. There was quite the crowd waiting and every table was full. The rolls were piping hot, and the sweet tea was perfect and not too sweet. We got the fried pickles appetizer. I normally love Texas Roadhouse but not this time. I placed a to go order and was there within five minutes to pick it. I had the beef tips...the majority of which were chewy and gristly. The mashed potato sides and broccoli were fine. But the rolls were over cooked and not those warm soft rolls I love. So only 3 stars from me. Hope somebody reads these reviews and makes some changes because this place can be excellent. The meal came, looked great. A flat pounded chicken breast perfectly breaded, smothered with country gravy. Loved the spice blend in the chicken and was really complimented by the smokiness of the gravy. ONLY complaint is the chicken had some really fatty/grisly spots. My wife & I went here for a date tonight. The waiter was extremely slow & hard to find from the start. Our appetizer was good & the rolls are always great other than having to wait 15 minutes for the second basket. I ordered the grilled chicken & Sirloin cooked medium with a sweet potato & fries with cheese & bacon added. The chicken was delicious! My steak on the other hand was well done& dry as a bone and the fries didn't actually come out until we were ready to leave, the person that dropped them off said "yeah I know," as she dropped them off while our coats were on. When I finally saw the waiter to tell him I couldn't eat the steak & my fries were missing he said he would get the manager but didn't offer to make another meal. So the manager did come by 5-10 minutes later & said I wouldn't be charged. Ok, good. But I still didn't get a meal. I still went home hungry, no offer to make the meal correctly or make it right other than not charge for food that didn't come or was cooked to the point of being inedible. I don't understand what has become of corporate restaurants! Since when is it good customer service for a restaurant that is a part of what is called the "hospitality industry" send people home with an empty stomach & very unsatisfied feeling in their gut. I love your rolls & butter but you have to do better than that. Texas Roadhouse is known for steaks, any Texan would be ashamed of a steak cooked that well done. Today my boyfriend and I went to the Brighton Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner. As we arrived we were seated and the hostess told us they were low on bread. Oh well, she came back about 5 minutes later with the bread. Another 5 minutes had passed (10 minutes now) and we still haven't seen our server. She finally arrived, took our drink and food order, and left. About another 15 minutes go by and we finally get our salads our server just dropped them off and left. We never got the regular butter we asked for or our waters. As we finish our salads she finally brings out our waters slamming them down on the table and leaving. We finally get our food not by our server and the server comes by about 5 minutes later, asks us if everything is okay, and leaves. That was the last time we saw her. She ignored us multiple times during our visit and visited her other tables several times and ignored us. I understand that we are young but that doesn't give you the right to treat us badly. It's always a hit or miss whenever we come here. The growing pains at first were understandable, but now that they've been open for a while, the food quality needs to be stepped up. The salad sizes seem to have gotten smaller, and there are always lots of wilted brown pieces as well, unfortunately. The fried pickles were piping hot which was nice, but lacked any seasoning and flavor. Their buns and honey butter never misses, always delicious. The look of the restaurant is basically like all Texas Roadhouse establishments, and crowded as ever. I am also disappointed that they haven't hopped on the reservation train yet, because when we tried to go here for my mom's birthday, I put our party on the waitlist and we had to wait almost 2 hours. When I received my steak the first thing I noticed was a hair....not a little one but about a foot long hair that seemed like it should've been spotted before serving. Ok...so they returned with another medium rare to my medium request....they knew it was under and offered to torch it further but by now I was starving. It was merely "ok". Nothing special about their steaks. Oh...and the other funny issue that should have been noticed was the 3/4" chip in the beverage glass I was served. I know "stuff" happens but I was mostly underwhelmed despite hearing so much excitement about their arrival. The cactus blossom was not great & the sauce with it was awful. Between 4 of us, we barely ate 1/4 of it. The bacon cheeseburger ordered medium had no bacon & was way over cooked. Salad dressing was wrong, parts of the ribs were tender but the other half was tough. The bacon was missing off another salad. The 2 steaks were alright but nothing special. Today was our second time at TR in Brighton. Our waitress, Madison R., was there when we needed her and made sure we had everything we needed. She made sure I had water without asking for more. Her smile and greeting were genuine. We had a small problem when ordering and the manager, Carrie, took care of the problem and we weren't charged. We offered to pay but the offer was refused graciously. Carrie's interest, like Madison's, was making sure we had a good meal. The meals weren't just good they were great. We were excited to see Texas Roadhouse come to our neighborhood. However, after sampling many of their menu options, our overall menu experience is "meh". For steaks, I would rather go to Chili's or Outback. For really good steaks would be Diamond's in Howell, MI or really, really good steaks I go to Clawson Steakhouse in Clawson, MI. Chili's has a better selection of burgers and a better flavor profile for ribs than Texas Roadhouse. I have traveled throughout the USA and I am unimpressed by the offerings of Texas Roadhouse. This place is an abomination. Utterly disgusting. My steak was dryer than the Sahara desert and they denied me and my family access to the FAMILY restroom. First visit to this fairly new location. Call ahead seating worked well. We were shown to our table by server with a basket of bread. The busboy was at the table with a tub full of dishes on the floor next to the table. He was in the process of spraying down the chairs with some sort of liquid cleaner and wiping with a towel as the server placed the bread on the table....yuck. Once on the waitlist you get a text to go to the host stand she checked our name off and told us to wait (didn't tell us where) we ended up following the people who came in after us cause no one could communicate where you should go or what the system is to get a table.
