We drive close to an hour to try this Barbecue. First we were told they do not serve fries at the location because their fryer was not working. Ordered Brisket with Potato Salad. The brisket was not cut against the grain. Which made it very stringy. The four rib bones were very dry and also stringy. Well,.... I got suckered into trying them again. (I say this, because mostly I forgot that we ordered from here before, and weren't fond of it.). So lucky you, you get an update. We both got the three meat plates. It was $23 per. I added a side of the Turkey for an additional $4.50. And I got the six count of texas toast because the website I ordered from didn't tell me it already came with it, so that was another $6. I paid after taxes tip and delivery fees (with the discount none the less) $58.71. Now, I know what you're thinking. That sounds like you got a lot for that price, right? I thought we would too,.... But what we got was a joke. My three meat plate consisted of Brisket, Chicken and the Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potato and Gravy. Brisket - Dry as all get go. That's SAD too since it's meant to be juicy and tender. But it was tough and dry and worst of all, BLAND. Chicken - Half dry, half moist. Not sure how they managed that, but w/e. Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa - Good Flavor, but only having seven (and I had to share one since wife only had five) sliced was a slap in the damn face for that price. Mac was WAYYYY overcooked. To the point that it felt like I was eating mush. Potatoes and Gravy were probably the best things I had short of the bread tonight, and that's pathetic. Wife's meat plate consisted of the Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa, Turkey and Pulled pork. Her sides were the UPCHARGED brisket chili and the potato casserole. Pulled Pork - dry and quite a disappointing amount. nothing more, nothing less. Turkey - Decent, somewhat moist, but otherwise flavorless. Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa - Same as mine, only she got five slices. OOOOOooooooOOooo, someone's getting fired. Brisket Chili - Completely disappointing. Brisket was somehow bother overcooked, dry and wet. The chili itself felt like it was just some bbq sauce thinned out with tomato paste. Potato Casserole - Confusing. It didn't taste like much, and had the texture of over stirred potatoes. Like, pasty. Now, not only were the meats LACKING in taste and texture as mentioned. The portions of nearly everything was a joke for the price. Since we ordered last time, it's necessary to mention the price difference. Last time I said it cost $41. This time we paid $58.71 WITH a $9 discount. So we would've paid $67.71. That's nearly a 65% markup in 2 years. Now, I KNOW we didn't get nearly that much food, and I get inflation and such. But dang. That hurts knowing that. Anyways. I hope next time I remember we have tried and found them lacking and never order from them again. I've since gone back to Molasses in Midland and their deals and portions are far better, even in the new year. So,... I guess suck on those eggs? IDK. read more

I've been disappointed with dicky's for a while. Menu changes, shrinking portions, and so on. my experience is only continue to get worse. I came here to use up what was left of a gift card. I placed my order through the app. For some reason, the app didn't save the gift card information from a prior purchase. So I had to manually re-enter all that data. I made a partial payment with what was left on the gift card. I then made a credit card payment for the remainder. Later, I found out that they not only took the remaining gift card amount, but they also charged the full total to my credit card. Not to mention the junk fees for "recycling" crap. They also gave me the wrong side and failed to include any utensils in my carryout. And they have the nerve to ask for a tip. Gtfo. This place is dead to me. With quality and service like this, it won't be long before this location fails like the one in Plymouth did. I've deleted the app. I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company. I was so excited that my hubs was willing to drive so far to come here after the Plymouth location closed. I expected an experience like I've had at many other Dickey's around the country. Not so for this location. The sandwich was good but there were no fries and NO ICE CREAM. How can that be??? Also my hubs got the 2 meat plate meal for $19 and there was not nearly enough meat for a twenty dollar meal. You shouldn't pay twenty dollars and still be hungry!!!He normally got fries so he got 2 bags of lays potato chips. No one even suggested maybe get the meat plate instead of a meal. I would have if I had been paying attention but I was so taken back that this location was different from ALL the rest. Super bummed. read more

Dickey's plates are a good way to skip bread, and get good meats. The barbecue sauces are great, and always come on the side. I like the coleslaw! Even though there is no drive-thru, they are almost always faster than the nearly sandwich shops. Give Dickey's a try! read more

I was looking forward to the ribs from Dickey's. Unfortunately, I was let down. I did takeout and waited until I got home to dine. When I opened the box, I saw that the ribs were very small. I tore a rib off, and I tasted it. Very dry. Next, I dipped the rib in some BBQ sauce. At least the sauce was good. imo, they served day-old BBQ. The ribs should have been very moist since I got my order around noon. I am thankful for the Groupon that I used. I would have been upset if I paid full price for what I received. read more

My first complaint right off the bat is that it's hard to see the whole menu. It's set up so that you actually have to walk into the middle of the restaurant to see the whole thing. Second, the small sign that advertises the specials is fairly well hidden; I actually didn't even see it until I was sitting down and eating. I came at an odd time, so there was only one table occupied when I came in. I ordered the brisket plate with mac & cheese and Caesar's salad as sides. I was surprised that a drink wasn't included. The brisket was very salty, and when the very nice men working there asked about it, I told them. All they said was that I must have gotten the side with a lot of seasoning rub on it. No offer to do anything about it. Although, I suppose I should have mentioned it right away. But, I wasn't feeling terribly social, so I didn't. I tasted the unsweetened tea, and it tasted old, so I opted for lemonade instead. It was ok, but REALLY sweet. I wish they'd had some fresh lemons out so I could have adjusted it. I was also really disappointed that they did not offer free ice cream cones like the one in Commerce does. My grandson wanted BBQ after a long morning of baseball games, with a Scout hike coming up that afternoon. Staff very helpful and patient while we scanned the menu, then kindly asked how my grandson's baseball game turned while making our orders. He plowed thru brisket & Mac 'n cheese while i enjoyed a ribs & pulled pork combo with baked beans and Mac'n cheese. I've been a fan of this chain of BBQ in the past but I think this location off of Grand Ave is subpar. I usually get the Mac Stack which is just Mac and cheese and brisket. Saw a few reviews and was expecting some good bbq. We both ordered the brisket and pulled pork plates. Pulled pork was pretty good, but the brisket was soooo dry. The two sides looked as if they were put in cups and sat under a heat lamp. I mentioned to the 3 workers that the brisket was really dry and all they said was "oh, sorry". No effort to make right by looking it over so they don't continue to serve it or offer a new meat.... Very disappointed in the customer service. read more

Husband was in the mood for BBQ so we decided to give this place a try while out and about doing holiday shopping needing a quick meal on the way home. We spent $30+ on two meals plus one drink. He got the three meat dinner and I had the pulled pork sandwich with two sides of macaroni and cheese and pulled pork chili. Husband's portion was a bit small for the price paid, but he said the sides filled him up. The sandwich was a good size and the bun was very good. They did provide two small containers of BBQ sauce which was enough for me but if you like to use a lot on your sandwich then you would need more. The macaroni and cheese was nothing special - tasted more like it was microwaved. The pulled pork chili had a bit of a spice to it. The only complaint from our meal was everything was just lukewarm (we live less than 15 minutes away). Overall, the food was good so will give it a try again since maybe it has not been as busy due to COVID and only being able to offer carry out service. read more

I have been here multiple times and it's never consistent. The amount of meat you get is either never portioned out right or not cooked right. And by this I mean either excellent and they give you VERY LITTLE MEAT, or OTHER day's or like today, giving us PLENTY of meat but the brisket was tough it actually CLANKED down on our plates after not falling apart. Straight off the fork, burnt and heavy, little flavor and DRY DRY DRY. Like pot roast. That's not what BRISKET is suppose to be! We walk in today and the manager/owner is on his cell phone not paying us any mind. Not even looking at us. There was one other guy behind the counter who greeted us with "I'm okay". Felt bad for him. Didn't seem happy at all. And neither was our meat. It was SAD looking and even sadder tasting. We get our food, two - 2 meat plates with 2 sides. Again not consistent at all. The beans had a different flavor as did the ribs that were NOT cooked evenly either. Honestly, I didn't even touch my ribs. At 30$ for 2 plates I was expecting much better than the food we received today. Clearly whoever is in charge, needs to get off his phone and pay attention to what's going on, all I'm simply doing is making you aware of this because well....we won't be returning for awhile. I had to wait about 10 minutes before my order was taken because the gentleman behind the counter was busy fulfilling a rather large order. While I was waiting I perused the menu trying to figure out how to order a full run meal - the sandwich boards above the order counter didn't say. I decided to order the pork rib plate with cabbage slaw and BBQ beans as sides. Along with a fountain drink the price was less than $20...very reasonable. The BBQ sauces (3 types) are self serve and in a warming area - you dip and pour them into small containers. I chose the spicy. The other items (paper towels for napkins, forks, spoons, knives, etc) are also located by the sauces. The ribs are a bit plain... Without any BBQ sauce I would not recommend them. The spicy sauce really turned the ribs into a very tasty meal. The cabbage slaw was mediocre and the BBQ beans were OK. I think the prices are very good here but the food might not be my taste. read more

I ordered a take-out order of Beef Burnt Ends sandwich and 2 sides. According to the menu, the sandwich was supposed to be burnt-ends, pickles and cheese on a brioche bun. What I received was sliced brisket on a bun. No cheese, no pickles and the brisket was not burnt-ends! They were out of cole-slaw, so I settled for potato salad. Tried Duckies for the first time today at lunch with a friend. The good was they gave me a veterans discount and it was quick. The bad was the quality was so so, meat was dry even with BBQ sauce and the Mac and cheese and potatoes where cold. Plater was 2 ribs about 4oz of sliced beef and about a half a sausage link sliced up . It was OK at best and for the price (2 for $35 @ lunch) I was not impressed enough to feel like I want go back any time soon. read more
