Always good service and great food. We make it a point to visit regularly because we know we'll be pleased with the experience!

I would have rated this restaurant a 5, but the floor under the booth where sat was filthy. We mentioned something to the waitress and she did nothing about it. We ordered gyros. The portions were enough for a family of 5! We definitely had a doggie bag. The food was delicious and there was ample tsaziki sauce, unlike many places. They welcomed my dog. I appreciated that. My dog is cleaner than most kids. The waitress was very pleasant, prompt and cordial. My friend ordered roast beef. She enjoyed that 1as well. There was ample parking and seating. The best breakfast you can find at a coney. Everytime I go it's good, and every time I go to a different coney I'm a little disappointed. Service is super good. They give you time to eat but also make sure your drinks are filled. Prices are super good too. All around a very nice place to eat and they'll be seeing me for a long time read more

Came here on Mother's Day morning spur of the moment around 10am. We got there just in the Nick of time. The food was tasty (omelette and OJ) & lots of menu items but the service was a bit....disconnected. Didn't seem like they wanted to be there and weren't very inviting. read more

Food is always fresh. We typically only eat there for breakfast. Only ask would be they use real swiss cheese rather than processed.

Upset that this place is not following the mask mandate. This is a restaurant serving food. The lady in the background I noticed was inside sitting down talking to someone. She was not wearing a mask. She should not be just hanging out regardless. I went in and paid for my order I ordered and the cashier asked that lady without the mask to grab my meal for me which was right behind. My meal was right behind the cashier on the table at the end where customers normal eat at. I could just as easily grabbed it which I did. Seriously, we are in the height of this pandemic, restaurants are supposed to be closed to indoor dining right now. The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association just lost their bid to allow indoor dinning, and we have this going on in our restaurants? I'm fed up with it. I have to caregive for my parents, one who is extremely high risk. I cannot always cook for them and have to rely on take out, especially days like today when I had PT. I where a N95 respirator doing my treatment which is essentially working out, and you have people that cant even wear a basic surgical mask sitting in a restaurant like this? I wont even get into the fact I got the wrong Pita. I'm more concerned about the lack of safety happening at this restaurant. read more

Great staff, large portions, fair prices. I love the Coney. It isn't fancy but they staff is always eager to please and the food is always hot and tasty. It does get busy for the breakfast rush and dinner rush but you normally don't have to wait long if at all for a table. read more

Food is ok. Friendly staff. One thing I wasn't happy with was my son and I ordered onion rings with our sandwiches and discovered the onion rings maybe a handful at most per order and was charged $4.50. I thought it was an error. I asked the waitress and she said its $4.50. I told them for 4.50 it should have been a full plate of rings not a small handful. Those rings cost more than my sandwich. If they had them listed on the menu I would have thought twice. Good rings but not worth $4.50. Won't be ordering those again. read more

Clean, great service, good food, and inexpensive! I love a good coney place and this beats all around. Take the kids and enjoy a good home cooked meal at a family price. Wait staff is friendly and fast. Coffee cup is never empty... even when it's busy. Hamburg Coney treats you like you are the most important person in the place. Will continue to come here. Stopped in for a late breakfast. The "Farmer's Omelette" was very good but the potatoes that came with it (American Fries) were so-so. Some slices had a raw crunch and they weren't browned very well. The downside was the waitress (I heard someone call her, "Mel"). She seemed to be distracted very easily and took an extremely long time to take the order and then had to go "...wrap some silverware..." which took even longer because she engaged in a conversation with another employee at the counter. A side order was forgotten until I reminded her....twice...and then she started a conversation with someone else near the cash register before she delivered it. This is a typical Coney. Servers can go either way, but they're human. Who knows what they have to deal with. Food is ok, arrives timely.

This little place is a great diner that clearly cares about their customers. They have always been nice and attentive and the food is great for the price. Make sure you try their soup! You can't go wrong with the corned beef and cabbage soup. My dad is handicapped and can't get out anymore and he loves their food and I love that they are always nice and helpful when I come and grab his dinner. read more

The only thing not perfect is the old school ambiance of a Detroit coney joint. The food is ON POINT. Stick to the coneys and the Saganaki opal and you will be pleased. Onions perfectly crisp, bun is perfectly soft and the chili is perfect as well. read more

I took my son and wife to most of the restaurants in the area. In all categories this is currently the best. I found it to be clean, and friendly. And the prices are very good and the proportions are generous. I just started a restricted sugar diet and found their Grilled chicken salad large enough to take home half for a second meal. My son took his fries and half his mushroom Swiss burger home to finish it later. I will return regularly and more often. Owner is VERY RUDE. Ordered the corned beef hash and the menu states it comes with hash browns, a tomato slice or one pancake. It also comes with a side of toast. I ordered my meal with the pancake. The waitress told me it would be an additional charge because the corned beef is made with hashbrowns already mixed in. Ummm...that is not how your menu has it listed. Needless to say the owner came up and was extremely rude and we left without eating. When you order an omlette that has hashbrowns in it, it STILL comes with a side of hashbrowns...Absolute jerk all over 1 pancake. read more

Everything you expect in a Coney Island, this place delivers. Fresh, fast and friendly service. The waitresses are always smiling and seem to know a lot of their customers on a first name basis. My boyfriend and I usually stop in for breakfast so I don't have much advice on the lunch or dinner menu but if it tastes as great as their omelets then you'll be pleased. I have had a bowl of the chili and its coney style of course, my favorite! Is it the Four Seasons? No. It's a small town diner that does a great job at being exactly that. read more

I go here at least twice a week, if not more. I have tried nearly everything in their menu and I have pretty much liked everything. Owner and staff are extremely nice and accommodating. I would suggest that they hire an extra peraon to bus tables on the weekends so they can seat people quicker and probably turn more profit if they thought of it that way.... Throw some jalapeños on your porky's skillet and you'll keep coming back for more. read more

Delicious! Went there for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. I had a bacon burger, fries, and a Coke. The hamburger was cooked exactly as I requested. The food here is pretty good, however we moved away and just recently moved back, haven't been here in maybe 2 years. The menu on this app is outdated. Everything went up by 1.50-2.00 $ it's sad when a business starts out doing so well and has very reasonable prices. We get take out from here a lot! The food is really great, salads are huge for a "small" and high quality (really fresh ingredients). They have special menu items each night (dinners, soup). What is not on the menu (but always on the special board) is the Angus Burger. Much better quality than Mimi's (or fast food for that matter) and is about the same price as fast food. We've eaten at Mimi's before and were very disappointed with the quality of food and Mimi's in general has an "attitude" about it. Same with Pinckney Diner. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, Hamburg IS the best 'coney' restaurant/diner in this area. Between myself and my husband, we have never ordered a meal we didn't like. I had one of the worst customer service / dining experiences of my life today. I ordered a carry out from Hamburg Coney Island and when I got home I saw that there was mold in the applesauce and they forgot to give us the vegetables that came with one of the meals we ordered. I didn't bother to complain about the over cooked pancakes they gave us but I should have. I called the restaurant to tell them what happened and and all the management offered to do was give me a double order of vegetables if I wanted to go back and pick them up. I asked for a refund and they flat out refused. They never even offered to do anything about the moldy applesauce. The management/owner of this restaurant are extremely rude. This is not the first time I have had a disappointing experience at this restaurant but it indeed will be the last! I refuse to support a business with such horrible customer service. read more

Fruit flies, sour ketchup, chicken tasted bad, management wasn't very polite, nor was the waitress, and the cook was not wearing a hair net or hat!! Had empty drinks. First rule of waitressing never let a customers glass go empty! Will NEVER come here again!! read more

I go here every chance I get. I love this place. The portions are large and the prices are great. Some of the waitresses are better then others but you'll find that anywhere. It's a family friendly investment and the clientele are mostly elderly. They are getting a remodel and you should check it out when they reopen. read more
