Excellent service, and delicious food!! Typical TR chain, and everything was really good!! Our hotel is right here, so we came in for a quick dinner and drinks before we see our Soldier graduate tomorrow .

I don't not recommend eating here if you have a party larger than 6. We asked for water with lemon and only one glass came with lemon. No other lemon came. We had to ask 5 times for rolls. We were notified 5 minutes before the food came that they were out of hotdogs for the kids. We err almost done eating when the kids meals showed up. The chicken I ordered came out dry with hard edges. It was covered with gravy which didn't help. The server stopped a couple of times and was flagged down many times. Finished plates sat at the end of the table for most of the meal. They don't clear as they go. If someone else hadn't picked this location for dinner, I would have eaten somewhere else. Music was loud and the person sitting in the aisle was left out. Green beans were too salty to eat.

Date: November 23, 2024 Time: 6:21pm Drinks: Water and Sweet Tea Ambiance/Environment; Very big and welcoming Staff: Friendly Food: Grilled Salmon, Buttered Corn, and Sweet Potato Appetizer; Twisted Mozzarella Sticks I actually had the app and already put myself on the waitlist because usually on Saturdays and Sundays, they usually be busy. This is actually also my first time eating inside the restaurant. Sweet tea is okay, could have been a little sweeter for me. Grilled Salmon, Buttered Corn, and Sweet Potato was delicious. The bread and honey butter were good also. Twisted Mozzarella Sticks were okay. Overall, I enjoyed myself and should definitely give them a chance. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I usually love Texas Roadhouse... today was. Disaster. Kayla was our waitstaff. She was no where to be found. The food was just OK. The rice was horrible mushy, but we could not tell her she never came back. No a good experience for an almost two hundred dollar tab. Service service service and training training training makes you not wanna come out anymore. I'm going to rest on Texas roadhouse for a while.

Steak so good you'll slap your mama!!!! Grilled pork cops even better. Hate the hostess area. Hate. Food is good. Sweet potatoes loaded is a must. Loud fun casual. Our fav for lunch. Now opening at 3pm nix that!! Call or download app to get on wait list. Sometimes 30-45 min wait. The bartender pictured here knows more about sports, football season. He's on!! Fast. Clean. Affordable.

The restaurant location is across from the State House, so I'd anticipate that they get quite a diverse cross section of visitors at the restaurant. I could tell from the moment we arrived that the hostesses were professional and got us to a table that was comfortable and had a view of the dining room. We had originally intended to sit outside where the view is more interesting, but on this day the heat was just too much. Our server, Megan approached quickly and went over a presentation of meat types and preparation styles, and quickly got us some drinks. She was efficient and professional throughout the meal. I had a wonderful fillet with some sauteed spinach, and it was all quite tasty. With a price averaging about $90 per person all in, including soft drinks, tip and tax, it's a higher end restaurant for the area, but certainly a reasonable value overall. For those visiting from out of town as we were, you should definitely take the time to either walk across Gervais Street to visit the State House, or head in the opposite direction along main Street and visit the downtown area. Halls is a wonderful centerpiece and represents Columbia well. At the end of the meal, they asked for my address, at which point I sarcastically said to my wife quote what are they going to do, mail me a thank you card?" Well, they did mail me a thank you card, a very nice touch, and appreciated. A truly first class move.

The problem with the coffee was the cream. It should probably be served around room temperature. Because the creamer was so cold several of our party had to ask for frequent warm-ups. Our server, Kristen, was very personable, pleasant and accommodating. A couple of us ordered Bellini's and mimosas. My Bellini was just OK. My standards are high, since I've had them in Venice, Italy. The Hall's Bellini was not very tasty and on the watery side. My wife tried to order the sweet potato pancakes, but they were out. So she was disappointed, and ended up with the lavender scented brioche French toast. She thought it was OK but was seeking a stronger flavor. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. I don't order this very often, but there was a good portion of sausage and the flavor of the sausage was enjoyable without being too salty. Our daughter ordered crab cake Eggs Benedict which features a creole sauce. She enjoyed it, but the temperature of the dish could have been hotter. Our niece's daughter had the farmers omelette with the apple sage sausage. The apple-sage sausages were excellent (I got to sample one) and a very good deal. The ambience of Halls is always great. The service is usually quite good and the food is usually excellent. This is our second brunch at Halls and I'll have to say that our first brunch experience was a little bit better for the reasons noted above. I still rate it the best brunch in town.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!

The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.

I forgot his name but he served us on the patio. The weather was actually perfect yesterday, sunny not too hot, fans were going so you could feel the breeze. We got the seafood trio as an appetizer and everything was well done. The shrimp cocktail was nicely seasoned. I really liked that instead of just having plain shrimp. The fried oysters were nice but I wish I had known about the pineapple on top because I would have requested it not on there, it made the breading a little soggy. But nonetheless the flavor was still good and oysters were fresh. My bf loved the cucumber kimchi. We also enjoyed the crab cake. I would have preferred a little bit crisper outside but the flavor was really good. For dinner I got the fish du jour which was a grilled triple tail (I believe he said). It was cooked perfectly but did not have a lot of flavor. I assumed they didn't want to over power the fish because I had it with crispy brussel sprouts which were salty and a spinach and corn risotto which was amazing. Everything paired well together. My bf got the lamb rack and it was the perfect medium rare. For dessert if you have creme brulee on your menu I'm getting it ! It's my favorite dessert. The custard was a little undercooked because it was a bit runny but the flavor was amazing. You could see the little pieces of vanilla bean. And the sugar on top was thick so it was a lot sweeter than most creme brûlées I've had. I'd give it an 8/10. My bf got the strawberry hand pie (I think it was) and he doesn't like sweets too much but he said it was good and the ice cream wasn't too sweet. The pastry looked delicious. They gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday and it was so good. It tasted like my favorite Chandon spritz. So it really was a perfect way to end the night. Overall it was a 9/10 experience and I'd love to come.
