It's been a while since I'd been to Texas Roadhouse, and this visit reminded me why it's always a solid choice! Let's start with the fresh, warm rolls. They came out piping hot, soft, buttery, and paired perfectly with that sweet cinnamon butter. They were so good that I made the rookie mistake of filling up before my entrée even arrived! I ordered the chicken fried steak with a loaded baked potato, and the portions were incredibly generous. By the time my meal hit the table, I was already halfway full from the bread. I barely made a dent in my entrée, but what I did eat was comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. The atmosphere was lively, the service was friendly, and it's easy to see why this place stays busy. If you're planning a visit, do yourself a favor: enjoy the rolls--but maybe pace yourself if you actually want to finish your meal! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Texas roadhouse. The server was rude and yelled at us when we asked for straws. The food wasn't cooked to the right temperature. Even when they brought it back, it still wasn't right and they never offered to make it. read more

Texas Roadhouse has a line out of the door anywhere I visit. But this time I actually sat down at the bar instead of leaving. I ordered the New York strip with a sweet potato and green beans. Everything was delicious except the bacon in the green beans. The bacon still tasted a little raw like it wasn't cooked down enough. The drink specials were great. A 20 oz beer for $5 is crazy to me. I ordered the 16oz instead just because 20 is a bit much for me. There are drink specials for margaritas and long islands as well. But don't expect the liquor to be anything you recognize. All and all this place is live, with chattering families, dancing and music. I've had my fill but I can see why people come again and again. New manager and lots of new staff, we love Forest in the bar. Attentive without being intrusive. To be completely transparent, we had 3.good experiences at this location before leaving a review as service and food quality had been so hit or miss. But we have had the salmon, steak and tonight I tried the pork chops, everything has been solid and well worth the money spent. Randomly came here after some shopping. The restaurant is heavily themed with rustic interiors and western decor. My server was Charlsea and she was an absolute sweetheart. She was attentive, knowledgeable and was very helpful when I needed to send an alcoholic beverage back. For some reason they have very strict rules about beverage returns, so the manager had to get involved but she was happy to remake my drink personally because "it did not look right". The burger was meh, the sauce they put on it was bit off putting but wait killed the visit for me. I have always been a fan of Texas Roadhouse. The main thing that attracts me to them, is that all of their ingredients are made from scratch. The definitely lived up to the "Legendary Service" that they are known for. Our server, Stephen, could not have been more hospitable. For starters he was super sweet, and incredibly patient, b/c while my friend and I were familiar with the restaurant, we took a good minute to make up our mind. We started off with the $5 margaritas. We ordered the Hurricane and the Sangria Margarita. Those did not disappoint. We didn't get any appetizers b/c that delicious fresh baked bread already had us halfway full. So for our entrees we ordered the Fried Catfish, that came with fries, and we ordered the Fall Off The Bone Ribs....now y'all know I am GREEDY, so I ordered a side of mac and cheese, a shrimp skewer, and a small Caesar salad with it....knowing good and well I wasn't going to be able to finish any of it (took it home) but the few bites I got in were so delicious!! This is a new review from 3 years ago seems like they have not gotten much better since then. My daughter and her friends went last night and the girl mixed up their checks up like 3 different times and they had to ask for silverware after she brought our food had to ask for rolls twice bc she forgot them. Who forgets the rolls that's the most important part of Texas Roadhouse!!! The other issue they had was her boyfriend is 21 and her friends are 21 she is the only one that is 20 they would not serve alcohol to the two that wanted drinks due to them still having a "vertical" id not sure if that's a restaurant rule or what??? Horrible experience. The place wasn't busy on 6/7/2026 but we waited 45 minutes for our food. I had to request to speak to a manager and she walked over to the table looking like " What do you want? She didn't say this, but her face did. She offered no apology, just said she would go check on the food. When she returned with the food, I asked her for steak sauce. She said she would get it but never returned. I was finally able to flag down my server and asked him. He passed my table a few times and it took about 10 minutes to get the sauce from him. The men's bathroom was one of the most disgusting bathrooms I have ever been in. Urine all over the floor. The urinal was crusty from lack of being cleaned. The room stank from lack of cleaning. That's where I stopped. Decided I could wait until I could get someplace cleaner. This bathroom has obviously not been cleaned in weeks. No excuse for this. The Texas Roadhouse of today is different than the pre-pandemic Roadhouse. Noticeably absent are peanuts. You can buy a little bag, but no more nuts in a barrel with shells on the floor. Also different is a dish with the unfortunate name, 'Roadkill.' Used to be smothered in mushrooms and onions. Now, they're almost undetectable. BUT, the patty was nicely seasoned and cooked medium rare as I requested. T. had no complaints about his 6 oz filet. It too was cooked as he wanted. Texas Roadhouse, warranting a bit more than three stars, has a good menu. Entrees are reasonably priced, and come with two sides, including a choice of salad. Some complaints. (Am I being picayune?) Two out of our three wineglasses were dirty. My baked potato had seen better days. And the presentation, with plates splattered in drippings and grease, was somewhat unappealing. I had to make an updated review, especially after they disappointed us a few months ago for our Father's Day dinner and decided to take a break from eating at this location.We used the waitlist option on Google & it made our wait experience seamless. Once seated, we had two servers caring for us and they both were awesome. The house margarita was tasty & hubby enjoyed his whiskey. The rolls were fresh and warm! The orders were delivered accurately and well seasoned. My 12 oz. ribeye was perfect and the 20 oz. ribeye made my hubby VERY happy. IF YOU ARE COMING HERE FOR DRINKS.. "All Alcoholic beverage sells are final" - did not see this sign until after they told me this. They added this recently because there have been TOO many complaints about drinks not being made correctly. I ordered a Long Island and it came out HORRIBLE. I asked the waiter, really nice guy and has great service, if they could remake the Long Island because it had way too much Triple Sec in it causing it to taste very sweet. He tried his best with the bartender, but was told to speak with the manager, who ultimately said they could not help. So I was stuck with a horrible drink by a bartender named Taylor or Chase. Terrible customer service. I had a take out order that was paid for 1 hour in advance. I got to the Douglasville location 15 minutes early. Food was not done at the time I selected. Waited an additional 15 minutes only to find out the cut of steak I selected was not available. Meaning they would have to cook another steak. I was asked if I wanted a refund and I accepted that but was not awarded anything for my inconvenience, basically just get your refund and move along. My wife, 2 kids and I went on a Monday night around 7:00 pm and didn't get our food until about 8:13pm. After that, all my food was cold & under cooked. My wife steak was undercooked. My daughter burger sliders were pink on the inside. The only thing they got correct was my oldest daughter chicken tenders. Ohh and they forgot sides. Waiter could honestly careless, no emotion around it. I love Texas Roadhouse & frequent the Barret creek prkwy location. This was my first time at this location & first time being disappointed. We visited on a Tuesday right before 8 PM, so it wasn't busy. We were switched 3x to a different server. (And told each time) our final server didn't check on us more than once. I had to ask for rolls to be brought out after we'd already received drinks + ordered. They brought out a basket of 4 rolls for 5 people & I asked for more & was told it would take some time & I said okay. We didn't receive another basked of 4 rolls until after our food was brought out & I had to ask for it for the 3rd time. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium & it was brought out well done & overcooked. All of our steaks were over cooked. I also had to ask the food runner if he could please ask the server to check on us & bring utensils, more water, another beer & condiments since he wasn't checking on us & our glasses were empty for a while but I know it's not the food runners job to bring those items to us. We were celebrating a birthday & I was so disappointed because it was the birthday boys first time there & I spoke well of the place & we received subpar service & food. We stopped by this location last Saturday on our way back home after we visited the Historic Banning Mills. We decided to join the waitlist online prior to arriving just in case & thank god we did because when we got there they were busy. Alex was our waitress & she was attentive, she took our orders right away. The drinks & the waters we asked for came out delayed I must say, usually it never takes that look to get them. The Mozzarella sticks though they were good in flavor weren't that hot as we've had them at other locations. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger & it was delicious though it didn't have any BBQ sauce as it's listed in their menu, my partner ordered the Chicken Critters with fries & a side of Caesar salad. Their bread rolls didn't usually have that nice golden baked color & indeed they have shrunk from what they used to look. I must mention the bathroom needs some TLC, it wasn't too clean and it smelled bad. The grilled shrimp appetizer is not to be missed! The shrimp is cooked perfectly and served atop of the delicious roll that is split so the shrimp lay across it open-faced. The rolls and the cinnamon honey whipped butter (or whatever the recipe is) are delicious! It's worth coming for them alone! I ordered the frozen key lime pie margarita & it tasted like a slice of key lime pie had been blended with alcohol, without the crust lol. It was truly delicious! I've had other places claim to make a key lime pie drink and it's usually an epic fail. Not this one. You've gotta try it. That's all I had this visit as I wasn't too hungry. My husband had the sirloin and said it was tough. He didn't comment on the flavor so I can't speak to that. The customer service was good on a busy night. We sat at the bar & the bartenders were taking care of us w/ pleasant attitudes. It took a while for my husband's meal, but again it was a busy night. I've been here before with my teenager and again with a friend. My teenager said the burger he had was decent. I think I ordered the grilled shrimp appetizer then too. lol. When my friend and I came years ago, it was for lunch and I had a salad. It doesn't stand out in my mind as gray or terrible, but again that was years ago. We were seated almost immediately at a table adjacent to a Point of Sale location. That was the last time we were acknowledged by any member of the staff. After waiting over 20 minutes, seeing the wait staff buzz back and forth and watching the two tables behind us get seated and waited on immediately. We got up and left. I took the ticket that had been taped to our table to the hostess. I told her what had happened and she said she would have a waitress come to our table immediately. I told her not to bother, we were leaving. I took my family to Longhorn Steakhouse and we enjoyed a nice meal with great service. read more

We were greeted very quickly upon entering the restaurant. The floors we noticed were a bit sticky, not sure if that was purposeful or not. Either way, I didn't like it. Plenty of customers there on a Friday night, and staff were on point. Our waitress was great, made awesome suggestions, drinks came out quickly and I appreciated that. What I didn't appreciate is the almost too old broccoli in the mixed vegetables that I asked for along with my catfish. (Funky smelling broccoli). The bread is tasty but the cinnamon butter is what gets me. So yummo!! You pay at your table which was probably made a part of one's experience due to Covid.
