When traveling, I try to avoid chain restaurants, but tonight I wanted a reliable, quality restaurant and this one met that requirement (and then some). Atmosphere: it's a loud, country music playing, restaurant with a bar. If you can't stand country music and peanut shells on the floor, then this is probably not the place to go. If you want a quiet, romantic meal; nope. However, if you love country music and beef (like me), then yup! If you want to sit at the bar to eat, you may or you can get a table (sometimes a wait is required due to the number of patrons). Food: Rolls and butter are amazing! They will bring you as many as your heart desires! Don't go overboard though, because there are appetizers and the main course yet. I usually don't get an appetizer because the main course fills me up. I ordered the Ft Worth Ribeye, Caesar salad, and sweet potato. The salads are large, so I try to eat a portion of it, but not all because I want to make it to my steak. The Caesar salad is definitely good. The steak was cooked exactly as I ordered, not too little, nor too much. The sweet potato was great as well. Staff: the waitress was fantastic (as I've come to expect from Texas Roadhouse)! She was attentive and made sure I had refills before asking as well as made sure everything was to my satisfaction. Great job! read more

Yummy meal, I had a Choice Sirloin with Shrimp and the steak was juicy even with no pink. Bread was brought warm and very prompt. Server was attentive and friendly. This visit would have had 5 stars but there was a big issue... Flies and knats were EVERYWHERE! In the dining area and in the bathrooms. We whent here after reading some other reviews. And can only say, WOW We all had the award winning ribs and they where what they said they where. Fall-off-the-bone ribs where amazing. The meat did fall of the bone just by looking slightly at them, and the taste was just enough bbq-y. The service was fast and flawless and with a big smile on our wonderful and cute waitress. :) Loved how the staff started to dance (square dance i think it was), in the middle of the restaurant. So my fiance and I went to Texas Roadhouse on Sunday. I did the call ahead seating. The first time I called, I got transferred around they hung up on me. I called back and was told the waiting was 30-45 minutes. No biggie. Gave us enough time to get dressed and head out. The server we had was nice but he forgot to put our order in. We had ordered drinks, an appetizer, and dinner. He never put our dinner order in and we waited about 45 minutes for the food to come out. When the food finally did arrive, my green beans had hair in it and it definitely wasn't mine. I was done after that. The manager was apologetic and comped our appetizer. I will wait to go back once we can get back to some type of normalcy. I was disappointed. read more

This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in my 47 years of life. It started off incredibly rude when we asked to be seated at 11:10 am with 2/3 of our party present, we were told we would have to wait until our full party had arrived to be seated. I would fully understand the enforcement of that policy if they were busy, but the restaurant was completely dead. There were 2 tables seated, only 2 tables. I then tried to call and speak with a manager and was on hold for 7 minutes when I decided to walk in to ask for manager, mind you, I was still on hold while standing waiting for a manager. I then spoke with Ben who was very rude and didn't seem to understand that we had elderly persons in our group and they were asking us to wait in our car when the dining room was empty and we planned on ordering appetizers and drinks. Ben begrudgingly seated us bu made a point to say it was only this time. Our waiter had a terrible attitude, was slow and several of our food orders were not quite right, but we didn't even bother to say anything at that point. We will never go back! read more

I went here with my family a year or so ago and it still bothers me. My daughter had received a free chicken wings coupon or something from school with purchase of a meal from a teacher, a reward thing , you know the drill... anyway. We go there for dinner order food and let's just say the food was so greasy, oily , salty that we all (5) of us were feeling like we needed water and vegetables to counter act the gut rot. For example I had a dish with corn in it and it was partially submerged in yellow oil or fake butter. I held a fork to it and turned it on its side to drain it before attempting to eat it. A table across from us all 200 plus pound people stared at me as I poured it on to a separate plate. I know it's just this kind of a place but wow they should keep a pair of shock paddles around for the potential heart attack victims. Maybe some complimentary antacid at the end of the meal. Definitely give this place a miss unless you enjoy canned corn and green beans, ribs that taste like the pre-made Lloyds ribs you get at the supermarket, and what were probably the most mild flavorless "hot" wings I have ever tasted. They did cook the steak nicely though I found it weird when the food runner dropped it off and said "please cut into your steak right away to make sure it's the temp you want" and the grilled shrimp was actually quite good. Also the service was great, our waitress was extremely attentive and the ,manager did take the ribs off when we didn't eat them. This restaurant was not my cup of tea though, I would have like fresher and more authentic barbeque flavors. Actually I would have just liked more flavor. read more

I have never been here before but will never go there for this reason and because of the attitude of the employee I spoke to about it. He was not one bit helpful and very rude. read more

We should have left when we were treated rudely at the front door but we drove 5 hours and we were ready to stop and sit for a meal. We met some family who drove from Iowa City and they seated 7 guests at a table for 6 and asked if we could all squeeze in. Uh no! They proceeded to crank the music every 15 minutes and dance while we wait through 3 sets to get ice tea and soft drinks. When we get our food we are never offered refills or asked how our meals were. We were never offered dessert or after dinner drinks and we won't be back. Our son goes to college here and we won't waste our time at this establishment again. Steak was tasteless and staff was rude, preoccupied with everything but customer service. Then as we were leaving the guy that handles the bread was in the restroom and never washed his hands on exit but did stand in front of the urinal and use his cellphone. Yuck! I ordered a pick up Togo order 3 nights in a row from here. Emma took my order every night and she did such a great job , I kept coming back. I am really picky and they rocked it. I prefer the salmon well done and a Lil crispy and the grill master rocked it. They kept my order fresh and hot and made sure nothing got soggy. Great service here! My husband and I were in town visiting our daughter so we stopped by for dinner. While our meals were good, customer service lacked significantly. Our server was pleasant, but not very prompt. My husband's coffee was brought to him cold. When the server was notified, she apologized and brought back a hot cup of coffee but the taste was atrocious so he couldn't even drink it. In addition, our water glasses, which were our main beverages in our party of four, were not re-filled when requested. My husband ordered a simple mixed drink from this full service bar, however they refused to make the drink because it wasn't one that was typically on their menu, even though they carried the three ingredients in the drink. When he asked, twice, for the manager to come to our table, the manager "was too busy" and used our server as his messenger. The music is too loud for any simple conversation to take place without having to yell to the person across the table or to the server. The best thing you have going for you is your food, but the poor customer service we received would prevent us from ever returning to your location. read more

Great food. I order the chicken fried chicken mostly and the portion is big and tastes great, especially when you pay extra for their onions and mushrooms on top. Get it with cream gravy and you won't be disappointed. I also order their cactus blossom because it is delicious and a large enough appetizer to feed atleast 4 people. Came here with my family last night for dinner. I ordered the 8oz sirloin (medium rare) with a loaded baked potato and buttered corn. When our food arrived I cut into my steak and it was very overcooked, when our waitress came back I let her know it was overlooked, but told her that I would just eat it. We had a two hour drive home that night and didn't want to waste time waiting for the kitchen to cook me a new steak. She came back a few minutes later and asked to take my steak, so I sent it with her. So I'm left with no steak and I go to eat my baked potato and noticed there was no bacon on the potato. The manager did finally bring me out a new steak and I let our waitress know about the lack of bacon on my potato, and she let me know that she would remove the charge for the topping. She also told us that they would take 10% off our bill for the overcooked steak, which seemed like a small uncaring gesture. Also, when we got our bill the loaded potato charge was never removed. To top it off our server was not very friendly and seemed inexperienced and rushed. We eat at TRH a lot and my family always enjoys their meals, but for some reason my experience is always bad! The last 4-5 times we've been here I have had issues with my food. I keep giving them another chance, but that stops now. I'll search for a nearby Outback next time I'm considering Texas Roadhouse. read more

Not a Gluten-free friendly establishment. They should have this sign on the door. I thought I could get a baked potato and fresh vegetables...oh, no, not possible. They make their own butter which they add gluten to. Oh, and they make all their own salad dressings and add gluten to them also! Basically all you can get is a plain steak, which may be cross contaminated with someone else's because they put butter on everything. The worst part was when the manager came to explain this to me he yelled to the whole section, "I hear you have a gluten problem?" I won't be going back. There are a lot of good restaurants in Dubuque that do accommodate people with a gluten intolerance. read more
